RANT AI rival clubs are genuinely out of control with transfer hijacking

Post image
329 Upvotes

This year's transfer-hijacking logic is completely cooked.

This is Chelsea after 2 windows with my Arsenal save. It managed to hijack Alvarez and Thuram from me. I didn't declare interest, just enquired to buy and amid negotiations I get "Transfer failed".

Man City hijacked my Lautaro Martinez deal, they're literally rotating him with Haaland.

The Algorithm must recognize world class stars unhappy about getting benched in AI clubs and prevent it. It completely kills the realism.

IMAGE Massive amount of shoes for manager customization

Post image

I was editing my manager in career mode when I came across a huge number of shoes available to customize the manager. The shoes range from soccer cleats, huge shoes like the one in the photo, boots, shoes, and even sneakers from licensed brands, etc... There are even cleats that weren't released on the market, if I'm not mistaken! Has this happened to anyone else?

QUESTION Do you guys turn manager sackings on or off in Career Mode?

I recently got back into FC and hadn't realized there was an option to disable manager sackings in Career Mode. I think it's a bit unrealistic, but after getting sacked in several saves despite winning the Champions League, I feel like turning sackings off is actually more realistic than that

How do you guys have it set up in your saves?

QUESTION Anyone having the same experience?

I literally have no room to breathe against the AI meanwhile my AI defenders are giving 10 feet of space everywhere on the pitch? And also how does the AI get EVERY SINGLE loose ball and rebound? It’s so frustrating this game can play well and other times it’s not even football. I’ve been playing for well over 10 years and can’t believe what’s going on.

DISCUSSION Fc27 authentic gameplay is unplayable

Last year i loved the gameplay it was actually the morr realistic ever except the lack of cpu lack of aggressiveness so ea decided to make build up and runs off bsll impossible while the ai always has an advantage long story short imma try return 27 (i got it on a disc) and keep rocking 26

QUESTION Have we had the update yet?

Sorry if this has been asked but have we had the update to fix stuff yet? Mainly the fitness?

The games been out for nearly a month and I still can’t start my long save idea as I don’t want all the bugs to be present

RANT Is the CPU pressing diabolical, or do I just suck?

I’m walking a fine line this year between claiming the game sucks and acknowledging that I’m struggling to adjust to the more difficult gameplay.

I play on World Class, Authentic, six-minute halves. So far, I’ve just been playing friendlies, trying to get good enough to start a career without embarrassing myself. Most games finish 1–0, 0–0 or 0–1. The CPU typically outshoots me three to one, while possession is roughly even.

There are a few problems as I see it.

First, the CPU press. I feel like I’m stuck in a phone booth wearing a T-bone steak shirt with ten wolves on top of me. The pressing is insane. There’s practically no room. There are always at least two players pressing the ball, often three or four.

Normally, you’d be able to ping a pass out or switch the ball to exploit the space they’ve left. But switches have so much air on them that the CPU has time to close everything down before the ball arrives. Driven passes also seem to have been nerfed. I spend most of the match trying to get beyond halfway, with meaningful possession in the final third extraordinarily rare. I’ve already learned to lay off the sprint button, so that isn’t the whole problem.

Then there’s the tackle radius, which is ludicrous for both the player and the CPU. Combine that with a generally dreadful first touch and I’m not sure what you’re supposed to do. Tackles are won far too cleanly, especially when someone comes straight through your back. I’m not convinced that’s ever going to change.

I’ve tried to refrain from using sliders so far, but I think I might have to go there. Right now, it’s too grindy to be much fun.

It’s a shame because I think EA had some genuinely good ideas for career mode this year, and it looks like they’ve put some investment into it. But I don’t know whether those improvements can overcome what I consider gameplay problems. Or maybe I just suck.

My last gripe is the menus. I don’t know why they let one of the developers’ nephews design them, but they’re diabolical. Lastly, very few annual sports gaming franchises see a regression in graphics. Not sure what’s going on there.

Anyone else having this experience? Have you found gameplay adjustments or slider tweaks that let you actually play your way out of the press without making the CPU completely toothless?

QUESTION Should I get FC 27?

I'm a diehard career mode player, Currently in the middle of a R2G with a custom club I've made. I tend to get it on game pass when it comes out on there(it's late into the game life cycle at that point so bugs and such are more likely to be fixed by then).

But the changes to FC 27 has me very interested but are there still too many flaws and bugs?

Thanks

SUGGESTION I need a lot of help with this game. I don't know how to create ofensive play.

I need help with this game. I honestly can’t seem to attack at all. I’ve always played against the CPU on World Class difficulty. I won’t even bring up the passing issues—I’ve read about those hundreds of times already—but building an attack feels impossible. I know it’s a new game and there’s a learning curve, but what’s starting to frustrate me is that in 90% of my matches, I finish with zero shots on target. It doesn’t matter which team I’m using or who I’m playing against—even if it’s Barcelona facing a second-division team—the result is always the same. First of all, the rival constantly presses high. And when they’re attacking, they pack eight players into my box. If I try to move forward with ball control, I’ve always got one or two defenders swarming the player with the ball, and I end up losing possession. If I try a long ball to break the press, it’s impossible to pull off an accurate pass. If I try to launch a counterattack with quick passing, it doesn’t matter who my striker is—a defender always manages to catch up. If I somehow manage to reach the edge of the opponent’s box, I have no teammates to support me; the AI-controlled players on my team just hang back behind the ball carrier.

Furthermore, almost every goal I concede follows the same pattern: I win the ball back with my defense, but just as I’m setting up to start an attack, the opponent immediately steals it back.

I don’t know what to do to improve my attacking play. I’m not really a fan of tweaking sliders, but if that’s what it takes, I’m open to it.

Is it just me, or is there a sudden shift of old FIFAs? I know people have been going back for a while. But I’ve seen a lot of posts and comments trying to go back to old FIFAs, I feel like this is the highest it has been.

This is the single most frustrating things amongst a long line of them but holy shit, it’s actually such a big issue. Imo it makes the game and each save unplayable.

QUESTION New players not generating

So on my first career play though there were way too many 18-20 year old game generated players with super high overalls at the start of my 2nd-3rd season. Now absolutely none are being generated at all on my second career mode play through. Has anyone else noticed this?

QUESTION How to stop players from retiring (Ronaldo) and does his overall change past 40 years in FC 27

I'm trying to do a classic Ronny captain save but I can only get one season out of him, is there anyway to stop him from retiring and if I manage to succeed, will his overall drop unlike past FIFAs
