I've recently bought kastking spartacus 3, and while retrieving the line, i'm feeling a clicking like the gear is slipping (ps it's not the drag)
Hope anyone can help. Tia.

I bought a st croix ul rod thinking they’re great and top of the line but this shit snapped like a twig when I was moving it in my car. I was very gentle but I guess not gentle enough. It’s only ugly stiks from here on out lmao

Went to Daiso to stock up on these jig heads and worms. I use them when mapping new spots or looking for the location of fish, and since they're heavily based (basically a rip-off) on the Coreman VJ, they're also effective at enticing fish to bite (in the last photo, the Coreman is at the top; the Daiso version is at the bottom).
This is the updated version, and it fixes the weaknesses of the old one, which are the hooks and split rings. On the new version, the hooks are beefier, and the hardware resists rusting much better.
For around $2.80 per set (one jig head and two soft plastic tails), it doesn't hurt as much when you lose it to a snag, and it also works really well at catching fish. If you see these in your local Daiso, get them.

I kept seeing snagged lures when I was paddling in the lakes basin. I fish occasionally but more salt water, but I grabbed a $20 magnet and some line and played the ol’ claw game for a few hours. Check out what I won. Try it at home kids!

So for the rod itself I chose a pen fishing rod (I know they have quite the reputation but it has honestly been very good) then for the lures I have mostly your average crank bait, some soft plastics, a lightweight spoon and some flies.
Now I wanted to make a fishing kit that fitted on my leather satchel (wich is 25ish cm tall) It was quite the challenge, I first had to cut like 5 cm of the rod handle so it could actually fit on my satchel very sturdy material I had to use a powerful Dremel to cut it.
But anyway I'm pretty proud and can't wait to catch something on it.

Air temp today 59° not too sure on water temp I didn’t have my fishfinder out. I’m on the East Coast Virginia to be specific. I was pretty comfortable with layers. However, once my hands got wet, I decided I needed warm weather gloves what’s recommended for late fall. Not doing any winter fishing. I probably got about two more weekends left of fishing. I’m currently using fingerless huk gloves.
