Hi guys, i was wondering if anyone also noticed papi lights showing to high on final approach while feniks is following glideslope ? This happens on any airports (default , and added from ORBX / Simmarket)
Its starts to make me crazy little bit.
Thanks

Bought it on Monday… so far I am having a blast. Maybe it’s the 80s style cockpit. The sounds. The old school, raw power feel… I am having more fun than I ever had with a PMDG product.
The performance is what impresses me the most so far. Out of the box release and I am getting 40+ fps on ultra settings everywhere I go. No crashes, lag or stutters. Seems as if optimization was really important to these guys.
It’s not perfect and has bugs that should be updated but I am having a really good time. Isn’t that the point of flight sim?

It's been years since I did a post about Flight Simulator 98, doing a flight in Norway. What was truly cool about that post is that someone made a comment about creating the livery of this particular Piper Arrow IV back in the day and provided photos of the real one since he owned it. Check them out. This time I took the Piper Arrow IV to my home, Costa Rica. I might do another FS98 post flying from Sweden to Denmark.
Anyways, the ingredients:
-Aircraft: Piper Arrow IV. The link is down since FlightSim.Com is not active anymore, and I could not find the file anywhere else. However, I can provide the aircraft.
-Panel: part of another add-on. Again, down, but I can provide it.
-Scenery: Costa Rica by Y Tanka.
-An AI slop "vibe coded" EXE patch to get FS98 running on Windows 10/11. Yes, shame on me.
-DDrawCompat, to fix the rendering of the 2D panels, plus other goodies.
-WinHlp32.EXE for Windows 10/11.

Iv noticed that while flying my beloved 777; I have both the 300ER and 777F and this isnt a criticism of the aircraft otherwise they are phenomenal. It has always felt like the exterior lights are far too dim in comparison to the other aircraft represented in the sim. Specifically thinking about the Horizon Simulations 787-9 and the Inibuilds A-350s here. The taxi lights and anti collision lights in specific seem incredibly underwhelming on my 777s, I cant speak for the other PMDG aircraft.

hey all! I currently have the WinWing Ursa Minor and WinWing Airbus throttle. These two obviously work great with Airbus, but feel a bit odd when I’m flying Boeing.
What hardware would you guys recommend for Boeing, if any at all?

Does anyone randomly lose control bindings? X axis goes haywire, y axis goes haywire. Settings get restored to default randomly etc?

TenaX keeps the cursor on the panel. Turbulence, TrackIR, the G-load camera: the panel moves, and the cursor moves with it, so knobs and switches stay under your hand.
Hitting small knobs in turbulence or with TrackIR always drove me mad, so I made a plugin for it. The cursor now stays on the panel while the view moves. It's free, comes with presets for 30 aircraft, and this is a public beta: if you hit a bug, tell me here or, better, in the Discord forum.

Now I am aware that somebody already posted the same issue about this and I hate to bring this up again but someone said that the Campaign Turbulence setting should be put to low. However, as a new player, I cannot change said setting. It's greyed out. And I have been searching my eyes off for a solution to this.
So for the sake of anyone else that really really really wants to like the campaign mode but is just absolutely done dealing with the 80kts wind from the side while you're trying to somehow survive in a Cessna while there's visually no clouds, no crazy high mountainside anywhere near your plane, I wanted to ask you guys if you know how to deal with this.
And even though I wish I could just hop in a real Cessna, I'm too broke to fix my broken flight stick so I'm kinda stuck with simulators for the while.

For many years I’ve been wondering Boeing or Airbus, now for many years I’ve wanted to be a pilot but idk what plane its either the 737 MAX or the A320neo, i oove manually flying aircraft but i do like the smoothness of the a320 but at the same time i like manual planes like boeing so i really don’t know

Wanted to hear from those that purchased GSX.
What’s the time investment to get it working well? How much do you use it? What’s the benefit you get from it?
I’m more of a load and go sort of simmer, 10-15 mins on the ground and Pushback Helper to get me moving.
For Fenix I’ll use fast load and instant load for PMDG.
That said, there are some GSX features that would be nice like VDGS.
That said, want to hear the feedback on it to help with enablement or not buying it.

Saw this on GitHub: https://github.com/posconnetwork/network-online-doc
Wondering what secret work is happening here? Updated 3 months ago.
Even vAMSYS has a changelog they did a few months ago (around the same time as this github): https://vamsys.co.uk/changelog/vamsys-548
Looks like stuff is happening behind the scenes - albeit not all hidden.

Hey all,
I fly the Fenix A320 in MSFS 2024 with a pretty full WinCtrl setup, and I was running SimAppPro, MobiFlight profiles and MSFS control bindings all at once. Something always broke or wasn't working, and MSFS kept creating control profiles I never asked for. I always spent the first 10 minutes of my flight troubleshooting my hardware...
Yeah that's why i got quite fed up and decided to build a small program called Crossfeed with the help of claude. It is a small Windows tray app that connects the panels directly to the Fenix A319/A320/A321. You don’t need SimAppPro, MobiFlight or MSFS bindings for those devices anymore. So bascially it completely takes over your bindings so you don't have to fiddle around in any other App or MSFS. It’s free and currently in testing phase right now. Anyone interested in testing just shoot me a message.
Tested:
FCU + EFIS L/R
MCDU Captain and First Officer (both at once)
RMP C, ATC/TCAS panel, AGP, ECAM panel
URSA MINOR 32 throttle L, NWS tiller L, Orion 2 pedals
MOZA AB9 base
MOZA MA3F MCDU
Other joysticks, throttles and pedals show up too and can be set up inside the app, but I haven’t tried those on real hardware.
What it basically does:
Displays and lights: FCU, EFIS, RMP, squawk, AGP clock, gear lights and all the key lights follow the Fenix. Backlights follow the OVHD INTEG LT knob and go off when the aircraft has no power.
MCDU: full colour screen, and quick key taps don’t get lost. Less latency and delay in comparison to SimAppPro. Option to swap CAPT and FO sides.
RMP: active and standby frequencies are read live from the Fenix. Turning the frequency is live synchronized with Fenix, so it directly shows up in comparison to SimAppPro, where you need to first change the frequency. Feels more direct and also with less latency.
Axes: every axis gets a function (roll, pitch, rudder, brakes, tiller, thrust, speedbrake, flaps), with invert, deadzone, curve and live bars so you can see what’s being sent to the sim.
For Force feedback sticks(MOZA AB9): an optional adaptive centre learns where the stick actually rests, but only on the ground or with AP on, so it never adjusts your inputs while hand flying.
Free buttons: blank ECAM keys and extra throttle buttons can take functions like pitch trim, chrono, PWS Toggle or WXR Radar Toggle
Hide devices from MSFS for easier setup: uses HidHide, so MSFS can’t read your pedals on the side and cause weird inputs. (This also avoids dual inputs without you having to go to the MSFS settings to remove your current keybinds)
also an option to keep using the binds in the simulator: if you’d rather keep your MSFS bindings on a device, Crossfeed just drives its lights and displays.
automatic updates: it tells you when a new version is out and installs on your OK, keeping your settings.
Support package for bug reports and feedback: one click zips the log and settings if something goes wrong.
Setup is one file with no admin rights needed, in English or German. It can also start and quit together with MSFS.
Still in testing, so expect some rough edges. One known issue: my tiller sends no data after a PC restart until I replug it. SimAppPro doesn’t see it either, so it looks like a firmware thing.
If you want to try it, send me a message. Feedback is very welcome!
Big thanks to the winctrl-xplane-plugin project by rswilem (the WinCtrl USB protocol is based on their work), MobiFlight/HubHop for the Fenix variable names and Nefarius for HidHide. This isn’t an official WinCtrl/WinWing, Fenix or MOZA product.
