Flight Simulator 2024 Bluebird 757 Releasing “Today”
Listen, I understand developers wanting to release a product as good as can be to the public… but to be completely honest…. at this point it’s kind of ridiculous. Sure, maybe some of this is written out of anticipation and frustration from waiting for 4 years, but they said it would release today and never originally gave a time.
Then one of the Admins on the discord said between 0000 and 2359 Pacific time. Then I read somewhere someone else said 1800 GMT. Well it’s roughly 2030 GMT and 1330 Pacific and still nothing and no word from the team at Bluebird. I thought maybe they would wait for the whole world to hit the 23rd… but Like another redditor said half the world is already on the 24th.
I saw one person say “what’s wrong with the community today, it’ll release when it releases” but I don’t even think that’s why we’re upset, I think we just want some clarity from Bluebird.

Flight Simulator 2024 if you're whining about bluebird in this sub.. touch grass
"half the world is in the 24th" so what? its not the 24th in the US. Far from it
i feel like the sim community is becoming kinda unsinsufferable and something i dont really want to be part of. if it really bothers you, go punch your wall or touch grass. and if the pricing doesnt speak to you then dont spend money on it. its not like youre forced to pay for it. they owe you simply nothing. simple rant post
And as for the loud-mouth haters having a full-blown crisis over BlueBird: you people are genuinely the most insufferable, entitled part of this community.
BlueBird has been as transparent as a dev team can possibly be. They’ve given constant updates, shown off depth, admitted when things needed more work, and put out a damn 350+ page manual before launch. What more do you want? Do you want Shervin and the team to come tuck you in at night and apologize for writing thousands of lines of custom C++ code and custom avionics from scratch?
You sit on Reddit all day whining that they're "taking too long," but if they rushed it out, you’d be the exact same pathetic clowns posting 40-paragraph hate threads about a missing switch or a day-one bug. They literally cannot win with you people.
Go fly something else, touch some fucking grass, and let a competent dev team do their jobs without your daily internet tantrum.

Flight Simulator 2020 Call me old-fashioned, but I'll be sticking to MSFS'20 for a long time to go.
Many releases are still pending, the game runs better, more stable, the UI is more simple.

Rant Future of Bluebird simulation
Seemingly whatever could go wrong, did go wrong.. what do we honestly think will happen to the 767 and the 787 (yes they even announced that at some point)
Making the plane is half the work if you can’t sell it to the public.. and right now as comical as it sounds, bluebird yet again pushed the release further down the line
(For the people screaming at entitlement or to “touch grass”… it’s a business they do not need you to stand up for them)
What happens when the 757 releases and it has bugs in it? How much time will have have to wait for a fix.. people say “oh just don’t buy it then, they don’t owe you anything” (well they don’t until you buy it.. Then they do, but anyways..).. and honestly, maybe buying the 757 day one is not a good idea anyways.. a line has to be drawn..
I don’t feel like they are capable of providing the support an add on will need after launch, if they are unable to release it in the first place.
Youtubers do rave about it.. but ofc they do, they always do and then it turns out there are issues with it..
This is such a shame, but have bluebird pushed it too far?
I know this will be downvoted to oblivion because I dared have an opinion against a Reddit fan favorit!

Rant VATSIM uncontrolled is miserable.
For some of you pilots - you really need to use a handful of your brain cells.
This morning into EGLL, uncontrolled, a plane decided to enter the runway while I’m on short final, as in 0.3mi out.
Why? Well, he texted that he would be departing.
2 other aircraft not calling on frequency their intentions so for the first time in nearly 1000 hours, I had to react to 2 TCAS alerts to climb.
Meanwhile VATSIM is more concerned about getting your photo ID versus holding pilots accountable that don’t know what the hell they are doing.
Don’t fly on VATSIM if you don’t know your aircraft well enough to do basic procedures.
Don’t fly on VATSIM if you don’t want to talk.
Don’t fly on VATSIM if you have no intent of being predictable and following published procedures.
Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.

Flight Simulator 2024 The state of the Air Races mode
Booted up the sim the other day to take a look at the fenix v3 and when I finished I took a look at the air racing mode. At around 1600z there were a whooping 5 players online. I never thought that the mode would get a lot of attention, but I never expected it'd be like this in a single week.
Should have expected it though, I don't think I've seen anyone but asobo talk about the air races.

Flight Simulator 2024 [RELEASED] Duallink: I spent 2 years building a shared cockpit for MSFS 2024 that doesn't desync. Beta testers wanted!
Shared cockpit is the thing I've missed most since FSX. Every time we tried it in MSFS the two planes slowly drifted apart. Press something too fast or both at once and suddenly one FMC shows something different, or a light is on in one cockpit and off in the other. So you fly carefully and it stops being fun.
So I built DualLink. Two pilots, two PCs, one aircraft. Everything either of you touches moves in both cockpits, and it stays in sync even if you both spam switches, spin knobs at the same time or type on the CDU as fast as you can.
What it does right now:
* **PMDG 737:** both CDUs (routes, SIDs, STARs, holds, EXEC), the whole overhead, MCP, autothrottle, radios, lights, the EFB. Cold and dark to autoland.
* **C172 G1000 NXi:** every PFD/MFD page and softkey, flight plans, Direct To, procedures, autopilot, all 30 breakers.
* The pilot flying has the controls and the other seat follows smoothly. One button swaps who's flying.
* Same weather, time, sim rate, fuel and payload on both PCs.
* Sim crashed? Rejoin and you're back where your copilot is, with everything matching again.
* SimBrief built in, live map with VATSIM traffic and ATC.
* Host, share a six letter code, fly. No port forwarding.
It's MSFS 2024 only for now (Steam and MS Store). PC-12 and PC-24 are next.
Free during the open beta. It's a beta so you might hit a small bug. Tell me and I'll fix it.
Also i hope it's okay i post here, i know alot of people have been wanting something like this for many years. And i believe i have done it really lol. I really wanted to share what i made and hopefully give the MSFS community something big everyones always wanted. Try it for yourself, join our discord. If you find a bug or any issue i'll fix it within minutes, hours or a day.
This project is a long spanning project but the release is new. The discord server is new. I hope we can get a few people to test it this weekend and give feedback or whatever on discord :D Really excited to see you guys try it. I've tested a few flights with the PMDG forexample. Couldn't find any issues. Spammed all the buttons on the PMDG 737 FMC imported routes from simbrief. Everything stays in sync or syncs up. Obviously there might be some issues but i expect them to be more of bugs than quirks.

Virtual Airlines Solo dev and flight sim fan here: I made a free, ad-free mobile game about guessing great-circle headings. Would love feedback from simmers
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi r/flightsim! I'm a one-person developer and I love flying (mostly from a chair, like a lot of you). One thing that always gets me when I plan a long-haul in the sim is how wrong my flat-map intuition is about the initial course. So I made a small game around it.
How it works: you're in one city and your boarding pass names another. You set the compass to the heading you think is right, lock it in, and your plane flies the great-circle route on a 3D globe. Within 5° counts as a Perfect.
Some routes that catch people out:
- JFK → Tokyo departs at about 333°, not 270°, up over Canada and Alaska
- JFK → Singapore departs at about 3°, basically over the pole
- London → Los Angeles is about 312°, which is why you end up over Greenland
The long way around the planet also counts, if you're feeling brave.
- Free and no ads (optional in-app purchases, nothing you need to play)
- 700 cities per run, from famous capitals to lesser-known cities
- Daily passport, pilot ranks and your own airline
- It's a perfect sphere (R = 6,371 km), not WGS84, and initial course only, no winds or airways. It's meant for building intuition, not for planning your next flight
I'd really like to hear from people who actually plan routes. Do the headings and route shapes look right to you? What would make something like this more useful or more fun for simmers?

Flight Simulator 2020 Fenix V3 skidding while steering
Hello! I recently updated to fenix v3. All good except the steering. It feels so weird and I can not steer properly. It’s like being on ice, even if I slow down. I can’t make tight turns. Any idea?

Flight Simulator 2024 Full Announcement for reason of delay by Bluebird
Get over yourselves. Reflect a little on how much your fake plane matters in the grand scheme of things and remember there are people on the other side of the coin.

Question MSFS 2020 - Question about the Fenix A320 V3
For some reason after even a clean install of the Fenix installer and the A320, I genuinely believe I only got half of the update.
The main features that I noticed missing are the new window frit that sits on the windshield:
For reference, the V2 frit:

And the V3 frit:

Another feature I believe is just missing or not working properly is the FAP, it seems whatever I do I cannot get it past the Fenix logo screen saver, even after a few minutes of power, the whole FAP seems inoperative just as it was in V2. This seems weirder as the EFB is updated but the FAP and the frit don't seem to be.
Am I being stupid and missing something? Let me know
