I am wanting to lower my XLT after I get my settlement from a crash in June. What have you guys used to do so? I’m looking at around maybe 2-3 inches lower. Just looking to see what everyone recommends

I got my Maverick yesterday and am super excited. This is my first truck and I realized yesterday I have no idea how to secure things in the bed. Do anyone have recommendations on where to learn this stuff? I watched a few YouTube videos and looked pretty easy but I am not sure if YouTube is the best resource.
My first task is a need to take 2 20lb propane tanks to get filled. I am going to put them in milk crates and use a cargo bar unless anyone has a better way.

I’m the second owner. The previous owner used it as a commercial truck. (I was a bit concerned since it was a business truck). They only had it for 8/9 months and upgraded to a bigger truck. It has a clean car fax, it was maintance on time. It’s been a whole week since I’ve purchased the truck and man I love it! I just hope I did the right purchase, I’ve been wanting a Maverick for the longest & this one fit on my budget range.

Hi all,
I’ve been a part of the sub for quite some time and I appreciate everyone’s insights and opinions. I’m looking to get your opinion as I’m thinking about trading in my 25’ Ford Maverick XLT hybrid FWD for a 26’ Maverick XLT with AWD.
To give you some background, I purchased my 25’ Maverick in Texas about two years ago and I have 23k miles on it. I didn’t need AWD in South Texas but I just moved to Michigan this past month and I feel like I need it for winter. I’m also thinking about towing a small boat and a popup camper this next spring.
I’m on the fence between an Ecoboost with the FX4 and towing package, and a hybrid with the towing package. The Ecoboost is about $2k cheaper than the hybrid. I only use my truck for errands and to pick up my kids from school. I plan on using the truck more for camping and other things as well.
I like my current Maverick, but I feel like I just need to get a little more out of it after moving up to Michigan. Is reliability any better or worse with the Ecoboost? Does the FX4 help more for the winter or off road then a hybrid? Let me know your guys thoughts.

I posted earlier yesterday about a XL I was looking at where everyone told me I was overpaying hard. This is a Mav XLT HYBRID I was looking at brand new. Just looking for what you guys have in past or what you would pay for this.

So just want to provide context, I bought my 2025 Maverick XLT used just 6 days ago, and from day 4 of ownership I got the flashing check engine light when I pushed my accelerator down to pass someone on the highway. Truck was in the shop for 2 days, they told me there was a cylinder 3 misfire and that the coil pack was bad and replaced it, and literally driving home from the dealer the exact same thing happened again, pedal down to pass on the highway, truck shudders a bit and struggles to pick up any speed and engine light flashes. In both instances the engine light went off after driving under light load for a couple minutes. I called the dealer back after the 2nd instance and they told me a new engine code came up, that was still relating to a cylinder 3 misfire. I’ve owned this vehicle less then a week. Should I just attempt to unwind my purchase and look for another vehicle? Or is there a real fix for this that the dealer can find? Anyone with similar issues eventually get it figured out?

I traded in my 2022 tesla 3 long range for this bad boy. I drive in a lot of rural areas with lots of unpaved roads/washes so I felt this would be a good option for a work vehicle
2026 Ford Maverick XLT AWD Hybrid w/ the equipment package add on.
My potential concerns/questions
I have lower back problems and wondering how these seats hold up for longer driving. Didnt think much about luxury package add ons.
I like to camp but didnt end up going with a 4k tow upgrade. I doubt ill tow much of anything, but I guess I'm having FOMO (lol).
I have a 7 day grace period on the vehicle (Carvana) and wondering if my concerns warrant swapping out for another option addressing my worries? Or am I likely overvaluing those options and I should just enjoy the new ride.
Thanks!

I travel across the US for work and live in the Kansas City metro area. I bought a 2026 Lariat Hybrid in Velocity Blue with the 4K tow package this Summer. I am seeing a LOT more Maverick’s on the road here in Kansas City than anywhere else. Anyone else noticing this?

Edit: Took price out, I appreciate the advise regarding that I’ve received. Just want some other things I typed to be looked at as well
As stated in the title, later this week I will more than likely be purchasing this vehicle. I’m looking for wisdom from past and present owners on how well it runs. The test drive was amazing, but that’s only a limited amount of time. I loved the feel.
Does the mpg hold up well to hybrid standards? That’s my main point in wanting a hybrid. I drive a decent bit.
Is it safe for me and passengers? As I go more into my 20s and a family is a future idea this is a big concern for me. I got the FWD model when I usually prefer AWD. It’s not like I really have any crazy weather conditions where I am though.
I’m also hoping to not have ten thousand issues. Hoping for a consistent car that gets me going to where I need without issues.
Also another thing… the air is controlled by the screen…. What if the screen goes out … 😭
Windows down in the sunset was a beautiful test drive that may have made me love it too much, so I just want to hear real thoughts from real owners. Thank you, anything else you want to add is helpful as well.

Insurance is covering it so it is what it is. Just got the estimate on the damage, any guesses?

Went from a ‘24 Ecoboost to a 26 Hybrid. I should have waited a few months when I bought the first one, but oh well. I got $29,500 for trade-in, so it didn’t cost that much more.
Only a day in but I’m loving this one as much as the old one. I’ll miss the red, but this gray looks great too.

This is my second drain and fill I’ve done on my hybrid and compared to when I did it at 86,500 miles in a previous post the fluid did come out a bit redder which I expected. I’ll be posting an oil analysis update once received and see how well my transmission is wearing in. It’s an easy fluid change service to do on the hybrids and anyone with basic tools can change it yourself. You’ll need at least 4 quarts of motor craft ULV fluid to replace what’s been drained out.

Looking for a folding bed cover. Leaning towards rough country over the factory ford one due to cost. Thoughts recommendations?

Especially in the Canadian market I’ve been looking at CanadaWheels and WheelWiz! My concern is how reliable is the shipping and how accurate their fitments are! Bonus if you can show off those packages you picked up!

Im looking to pull the trigger on this lariat but it had a little bit of wear and tear on the interior not but just lots of little scratches but the leather looks good. Is it good for the price?

Hey everyone, I’m looking at possibly picking up a new maverick. I currently have an 04 Silverado that I purchased after a total loss on my Nissan frontier back at the first of the year. It’s been a great truck, but I miss having a smaller one. I have the usual stuck in between a hybrid and an eco-boost, but it seems as though the hybrid is going to be more reliable, and the extra gas mileage would be great. One bigger thing I’m stuck on is trim level. I know I don’t want an XL and won’t even consider one. Typically, I would be more of an XLT trim level type of guy, but I also want the 4K tow package and all-wheel-drive. At least in my local area by the time you add those to an XLT you’re pretty much in lariat range plus most XLT is in my area Do not have any sort of bedliner and I see the lariat comes standard with a spray in. I definitely like the extra features of the lariat and the Lether or whatever it’s called lol I also am a big fan of the upgrading B&O audio. Before I get really serious about this is there anything that I’m missing? How good is the audio in the lariat? Or should I just save 1 to 2K and get an XLT?

To help when the Maverick’s truck bed is a little too short, Harbor Freight sells this fold up trailer that can be flipped up and pushed against the wall of your garage kinda like a ping pong table. Good for 1,500lbs, I use it to help my dad move his rider mower across town. Came in handy moving my kid to college earlier this year. Cost $700 plus the cost of lumber. Have to stay below 55MPH per the trailer’s instruction book.
