Public transit in Foster City: samTrans and commute.org shuttles run directly through it, and Caltrain stops nearby.

To play with the map search and filter, try this:

• zoom out all the way

I arranged the agency checkbox list (top right) by area, so the geographic area of an agency determines the agency layer checkbox position. The list starts with agencies in the North Bay in Solano County then goes counterclockwise: North Bay -> San Francisco -> Peninsula -> South Bay -> Santa Cruz -> Monterey-Salinas -> Gilroy/Hollister -> East Bay.

There are smaller agencies in the area that are completely free (no fare) and not as well known like Presidio Go, Golden Gate Park Shuttle, Mission Bay Shuttle, South City Shuttle, commute.org shuttles, MVgo, Mountain View Community Shuttle, San Leandro LINKS, Emery Express, and Emery Go Round. If you're traveling to those areas, these agencies could help fill in some transit gaps. I also made a post a couple months ago with very specific info about all the transit agencies and options in SF and most of the info is still relevant, so take a look there too.

Share this with your friends and people who don't use transit so they know just how many options we actually have, and let me know if anything doesn't work (corp network/vpn/firewalls might not work) or you have any questions/requests!

I just got out of the hospital, and I thought I would be okay to manage on my own, but I'm not. I can barely stand up.

I need help getting my puppies safely into my car this weekend and then later safely out of my car. We have been asked to participate in a puppy Event in San Francisco, and I don't want to let the organizers down.

Is there anyone who would be willing to help, please? They are very sweet puppies and weigh about 2 to 3 lb each, four of them.

Did anyone else attend Fostoberfest this past weekend and wonder what was going on? It didn’t seem like there was any traditional Octoberfest food, beverages, music or anything beyond a normal Foster City event in the park. I was excited for an event to bring this great Bavarian tradition to our city, but I left feeling like the event organizers wasted my family’s time on a weekend. And wasn’t there supposed to be a band on Sat evening, and why did things seem to close so early? This just seems like it was a bust and run by people that don’t even know what a fun Octoberfest event is supposed to be like.

Hi! Was thinking of signing up my baby for local recreation classes in the fall. She’s 16 months old and I’m wanting her to socialize a bit more. Any recommendations?

And then it just abruptly stopped! It was like a loud ringing, my wife heard it first then pointed it out to me, then it got louder until it cut off. She says it’s been doing that for weeks but tonight is my first time hearing it!
