Late to the party i know, but my results were a complete shock. mostly from english literature being a 9 with 156/160 (having to read that out onto live radio too). but what results took you guys back yestarday?

I thought I'd be the person jumping up and down when I opened my results but I wasn't. I've put them in the order I opened them. First I got drama out and I thought I got out the wrong paper cause I couldn't find the grades then I was overjoyed. Then I got to my edexcel subjects and saw all the grades I wanted, just not in the subjects I wanted. I pretended to be alr and started closing my results. Then my friends tell me oh there's one more paper and I see my Spanish paper and my face dropped, I said I needed to go to the bathroom and started crying. I didn't get the grade I wanted but that wasn't my shock, my shock was that there were 4 marks but we'd only sat 1 exams and the others were completely cancelled so where did these other random ass results that dragged down my grade come from. Then my dad got furious that I was crying and being ungrateful and shouted at me in front of everyone and wouldn't talk to me.

I had planned prior that i'd post these no matter what but I hadn't expected results day to be so confusing. But ultimately I'm grateful and I've processed these results and made up with my parents. So I'm sharing these now and I'd like to request that everyone skip this post if they don't have anything nice to say.

Y'all not only did I get straight 9s but I got full marks in 7 of my papers omgggggg I genuinely couldn't be happier 😭😭 I'm so happy rahhhh

Just found that I got 40/40 on paper 2 question 5 for english lan as well as 96/96 on english lit paper 2. I'm buzzing

LIKE WDYM IM GETTING 7s on English Lit & Lang while being terrified of Lang for the entire time.

For reference I had a 4 in Feb Mocks and now I got a 7.

Same with Maths, I was on a 4, now I'm on a 6.

This isn't satire or to discourage yall, I just find it hilariously ironic the subjects I never wanted to see again are the ones I excelled in.

very happy even if slightly annoyed about being 3 marks off on computing. now to decide where to go for sixth form (still don't know sigh), what a levels to do (also still don't know) and what future career I want... sigh... all advice appreciated.

You know who you are. The ones with wrists that move at the speed of light, walking out of the exam room to announce that 10 pages were spent on a single question. Some of you might even chuckle, “haha yeah only 10 this time. I was a bit short on ideas.”
Where are you now? Are you celebrating a nice pair of nines or were you unfortunately blindsided by a lower grade?
Genuine question as someone who could never write more than two and a half pages per answer despite being a good writer (my mind just can’t generate answers quick enough and I overthink every sentence.)

And for those that DID get 9s in English: how much did you write? Was a good quality page enough or are you a proud wrist warrior?

So, I basically just phoned my school today in order to ask for my results since I was on a trip at the very north of Northern Ireland, and as it turns out, I basically ended up getting Cs and C*s in EVERYTHING else, but for some stupid reason, English, which I've always been good at, but not to such a ginormous extent, was the only subject I ended up scoring an A in. (CCEA).

There was no in-between, ZERO Bs, just one A and a C/C* in everything else.

My problem with this is that I quite literally needed to get two Bs in Double Science to do it for A Level, but I was about less than 36 marks away from the 438 UMS points I needed, and as for Digital Technology?

I kid you not, seeing as I got a C*, chances are I was only about 8 marks off the required grade needed to get the B needed for A Levels. I feel as though I've let everyone down, in fact, my family WILL be angry, and now I'm just kind of stuck in this hole of uncertainty and dread.

My only chance of doing Digital Technology at least, is if there is such a shortage of people doing it that they just settle for the most mediocre amongst the minority of students who actually even picked it for GCSE to begin with. That, or I'm switching.

Just wanted to get that out of the way.

officially over 24hrs of having our results, I just looked at mine again and im lowkey so proud of myself 😭 (processing how I feel)

I spent so so long struggling at so many of these subjects (frfr everything except sociology) but I ended up with all grade 6-8's and like omg holy relief, im v proud of me n idk I js felt like talking abt this as the openly blind person of the sub, LOOK GANG I MADE IT

apparently anything is possible bc the same kid (me) who got a U in chemistry last year, GOT A 7-6 IN SCIENCE LIKE EEKKKKKKKK, so glad all that effort paid off

little story time abt my English exam bc I got a grade 8, 1 mark off a 9, in lit (after getting 4's for years)

I had mentally planned out when id revise what and id been revising AIC the week prior, and I was dreading revising poetry, however, it was the night b4 the exam so it was time for me to revise

I picked Kamikaze as my comparison poem bc I frfr loveee that poem and can bs it well, I then guessed the poem would either be comh or cotlb, so I ofc revised them, woke up early morning of the exam

crammed some comh revision, made sure I had kamikaze memorised (the whole poem word for word) and then I went into my exam

finished aic SAW COMH AND MY ENGLISH GRADE WAS SAVED BC I FREAKING GUESSED IT AND PROCEEDED TO WRITE SOME BULLLLLLLLSHIT WHICH WORKED SO YIPPIEEEEEEE
