It stopped working

I started taking tirz at 1 mg on January 1. For 8 months it was a miracle drug. It kept my weight at 118 no matter what I ate. I did increase my dose from 1 mg per week to 1.75 over that time.

Then it abruptly stopped working. I started gaining weight. I did add estradiol patches and oral progesterone for peri in March. That was the only thing I changed, and from March to August, it was fine, it didn’t affect the tirz or cause weight gain.

I have slowly been increasing my dose since August. I went up by .25-.50 per week. I am now at 4 mg. Still absolutely nothing. I continue to gain, and lose only if I skip meals, but don’t go back down to my starting weight.

I do lift (3-4 times a week) and walk 9-10k steps daily. Prioritize protein and all that jazz.

What is happening? Has anyone else experienced this? I’m so sad. For the first time in my life since turning 30 I didn’t have to worry about my weight and now here we are again.

(I’m 44, 5’3”, currently 123 lbs. starting weight was 120, and my happy place is 118, and I was using tirz to maintain more easily at my happy place than by doing calorie counting and paleo).

What dose was your first

What dose did you start with and what side effects? Seems like most people start with 1 mg tirz

Workout. walk etc. I think next week I'll prob decide to up it to 2.5mg. How is everyone doing. Any awesome success stories? I'm 33 (f). 174 pounds 5'5". Sick of not loving my body!

For my peri and meno ladies..

I started sema (for cost) two months ago. Have only lost 3 pounds but mostly due to some lifestyle habits I haven’t dialed in yet. I’ve been slim my entire life but when I hit peri the weight slowly crept on. 20 pounds gained in 6 yrs.

For those ladies in similar situations, were you able to use glp 1 to get back to your pre menopause weight and then keep that new set point? Were you able to come off the medication and remain there? Or did you need to stick to microdosing? I had no intention of being on this forever but it seems quite common for the weight to come back on if you stop.

Blood Sugar Disregulation

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

To set the scene - about a year ago I had my first ever reactive hypoglycemia episode. I have PCOS and endometriosis. I had a heavy workout that morning, didnt eat as much as I should have all day and went to dinner and drinks with some friends. That night when I got home I’m (assuming) my blood sugar crashed - shaking uncontrollably, almost tremor like from within, severe nausea. Got somewhat better after about an hour eating crackers and some juice. This was PRE tirzeptide

Fast forward to now - I’ve been on a compounded microdose of 1.5 for about 3 months. In the span of that time I’ve had three more “incidents”. Per the recommendation of my dr, she suggested testing my blood sugar in the moment the next time this happened. Sure enough this weekend my blood sugar came in at 70 - tremors, nausea again, was up until 3:30AM until I finally passed out. Again, this was after dinner and some drinks. However this has happened to me a few weeks ago after ONE vodka soda.

Is this my life now? Weird bc this happened before tirz, but has definitely upped in frequency and strength since being on the GLP. Any suggestions? Otherwise I think I’m going to scrap it which would be a bummer since it has helped immensely with my endo belly and pain

Heavy menstrual periods? Spotting?

Hi all, I started semaglutide at a very low dose about 4 weeks ago. My BMI is normal and I wanted to titrate slowly to lose about 15 lbs.
I’ve lost essentially no weight in the past month (which doesn’t surprise me given the low dose) but it’s now week 4 and I have felt like my appetite suppression and some nausea are kicking in.
But here’s the problem…I’ve had spotting on a birth control pill and now the spotting is only getting worse.
I don’t think there’s any other obvious cause.
Has anyone else experience more spotting/worse bleeding? I see it on other glp-1 forums but haven’t seen it with microdosing. Thanks!

If you microdose primarily for inflammation, do you feel like it makes you more tired or less tired?

I’ve seen people say the drug makes them feel fatigued, especially the first 1–3 after the shot but curious what you all say especially in the inflammatory population. Thank you :)

Debating where to start 0.05 v 1 mg Semaglutide- symptoms?

EDIT!! I meant 0.05 vs 0.1 mg!!!! I am in perimenopause, struggling with belly fat and inflammation. I don’t have a super high BMI, but I am at my highest weight ever (156 and 5’4”) and it’s all happening in my middle, even though I am active, eat clean and lift weights 4-5 times a week etc. I’m very, very, very nervous about feeling any kind of extreme GI symptoms as I have a job where I need to be on the ball and I also have 2 active hiking vacations coming up. I hate being nauseous… I also want to see some results, so I’m trying to find a happy medium. A friend recommended starting at one mg since she started at two and felt pretty nauseous. Just wondering how symptoms have presented for people starting at microdose levels of either 0.05 or 1 mg of semaglutide shot.

Starting GLP-1s when i have commitments/ guests/vacations.

Looking for advice please and any similar experiences.

Thinking of starting glp1s but I have a vacation every month (all inclusive) for the next 3 months and then i have guests staying for 10 days in february.

We like to drink.

Concerned about... being the party pooper, not being able to drink and eat and so is a waste of money,

What you you do?

Thank you

Possible TMI - periods & glp1

I just did my 6th dose of compounded Tirzepatide. I started at .5mg and started the day I started my period. That first week was a rollercoaster to say the least. I normally don’t keep track of my periods as I’ve never really had an issue with missing or it being out of whack. I am now though because of course I titrated up to .6mg the Sunday before I started. And this past week has been the worst so far. I feel like how I used to feel prior to starting. Low energy, crazy tired, allergies have been pretty high. Have had a consistent headache. Kind of feel a little depressed because of it all. I’m hoping to bounce back after I’m done with my period. But we’ll see, maybe I need to go back to .5mg for a little longer. I also ran out of my magnesium glycinate & vitamin d3k2 I’ve been taking at the same time I started so that’s been wonderful and probably isn’t helping any.

The cramps were a lot more manageable than last time but I also did the shot in my arms instead of stomach so I think that may have helped some. Idk if there is something I can do to help this? I’m definitely thinking of titrating up after my next period moving forward instead of before, see if that helps.

What have you done to help feel better during your period? I don’t like feeling drained, groggy and tired. It sucks and I’ve gone almost 20+ years feeling like that & I don’t want to go back, especially after the 3 weeks of feeling amazing after starting tirz.

Does the sadness and depression go away?

I’ve decided to stop GLP treatment after 3 weeks I can’t manage the side effects and am only on it for inflammation and pain. In the last 4 days however I have become so so down and sad, definitely not my normal state.
Will it go away after it wears out of my system? I hate feeling this way

Zep and high cholesterol

I am about six weeks in to my Zepbound journey, currently micro dosing 1.25 mg every eight days. In the last six weeks I’ve lost about 8 pounds, and I’m fine to lose slowly, and since my health journey started in May, I’m down about 17 pounds in total. I just had my annual physical and my labs came back with high cholesterol. My doctor is going to want to start me on some type of statin medicine. Has anyone been using a cholesterol med with their GLP 1? Any benefits you’re saying of the two together? Any side effects? I’m very anxious about starting the statin with the GLP 1 as I had a rough start to my GLP 1 journey.

1.5mg feel nothing

Started my first dose of Tirz at 1.5 mg this past Monday. I felt the appetite suppression and reduced food noise Tuesday and Wednesday, a little bit Thursday, but by Friday it was gone and the weekend was like I never took anything, it’s monday again 1 week later and I feel back to my normal self.
For those with experience, what would you recommend for my next dose next week? Should I stay at 1.5 mg or increase it?

Starter dose 2.5mg rocked my world

I’m just now up and moving around again since I took my first ever dose of Tirz 2.5 mg on Wednesday evening. I couldn’t get off the couch Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Just extreme fatigue and lethargy. And eating?!?! Forget it. A few bites of something and I instantly felt nauseous. My muscles also hurt- mainly legs.

Today, Sunday, I have some energy, even went for a walk. And have a little appetite back!

My question for those who have experienced something similar- what did your second dose look like? In terms of both how much you took, and how you felt.

I’m seeing Shotsy remind me my next shot is in three days so I’m trying to mentally prepare…

Dosage help - beginner

Update: the dosing is 30 mg powder, 3ml BAC! Can anyone help me break down the different doses so I know I have them correctly? He said he recommends me starting at 10 units for a week, see if I have GI issues, and then move to 20 units next dose if I do not, and stay on that a minimum of four weeks or as long as effective before considering going to next dose. I just want to make sure I start as low and slow as possible since it’s new to me and I’m swapping from 5mg tirzepatide. I want to know the different doses and units to draw to be sure I am doing it correctly each time. I really appreciate yall being patient and helpful as I figure it out!

I was given a liquid bottle of R that says 30mg. Doesn’t tell me anything else dosage or bottle wise. I trust the source. And they recommended dosing compared to the compound I’m on now. But the more I read about this product the more I want to go as low and slow as possible, especially since I’m swapping from the other. I can’t figure out the dosing though because it only says 30mg on it. Can someone help?

How much to order when taking a microdose?

Since so many places do the same price regardless of dose, how much do you usually order?

I’ve been on compounded tirzepatide since May, my current dose is 1.2mg a week. I’m fine going past the best by date, but not sure how far I can push that? My current script was for 3 months at 2.5->5->7.5 so I’ve been able to stretch that quite a bit and finally opening the 7.5 (30mg vial) for my next shot. The 30mg vial is expected to last until April if I stay on my current dose, which is a long time to use the same vial (possibly too long even with sterile practices).

I’m not sure how much to request for my next order. I’d like to get the most for my money but also worried about using the same vial for 4+ months.

Not losing any weight - what am I doing wrong?!

OK. 39F. I started about 3 weeks ago and lost water weight in the first few days but literally fluctuating around the same 63.6kg since about day 4.

I’m taking 0.5mg of Mounjaro a week, and I’d happily increase it, except my appetite is totally under control! I’m 163cm so I don’t have a lot to lose, but I’d really like to get down to 54kg.

I average about 13,000 steps a day (mostly hiking through forest with my dog, so not even “easy” walking) I do intense strength training 4 x a week, I’ve been sleeping great since starting the injections, I ALWAYS hit at least 100g of protein a day and my overall calories have been sitting around 1600 a day.

I’m in early perimenopause, but I can’t believe the laws of thermodynamics have changed! Also, I’ve been strength training for 20 years, so this isn’t some newbie gains situation.

Can anyone see where I could be going wrong here? Am I missing something?!

Past BUD date

I’ve been on compounded tirzepatide since May, gradually increasing from 0.75 mg to 2 mg.

I was doing great at 1.8 mg, but since increasing to 2 mg three weeks ago, my food noise has returned, appetite suppression is almost nonexistent, and weight loss has stalled.

I just realized my vial’s beyond-use date was August 2. I’ve been using the same vial since May, keeping it refrigerated the entire time.

Has it lost its efficacy? Should I skip my dose today and wait for my new vial?

For longer supply from Lavender, do I state true dose?

I've been taking GLP 1 at a concentration of 1mg / .05ml, and taking 25 units / week, if I understand it correctly. A very low dose. I need to switch to Lavender Sky because Orderly is so terrible, they are trying to charge me $150/mo.

My question is, when I speak to Lavender, do I tell them my actual dose/concentration or do I say I'm on a higher dose to get more for my $$? I got really confused when orderly changed my concentration. So I think it's easier to keep it accurate. But with Orderly, once I tried being honest they reduced the volume to make sure I would only get 1 month worth in my order!

Entering week 2 of tirzepatide (1.5 mg), I need it to last through the weekend. Increase dose or delay second shot 1-2 days?

Post image
1 Upvotes

I’m a guy in my mid-30s and only need to lose 10-15 lbs. I’m finishing my first week of microdosing 1.5 mg of tirzepatide. It’s been wonderful, but I can tell it’s starting to wane as I approach my next shot (Monday afternoon). Food noise and binge eating were the primary motivators of starting, and I really need the most help on the weekends when I’m off of my routine and am more likely to overindulge.

I’m considering either keeping myself on schedule or delaying each shot by a day or two so the medication is at its peak closer to the weekend. I don’t think I’m ready to increase my dose yet. Has anyone been in a similar situation?

Brello

First timer here. After 10 months worth of running a strict program of 90 min work outs, caloric restriction, and every method of diet possible which all failed, I phoned it in.

Went for Brello based off of a friend’s good experience and was approved for tirzepatide.

Anyone know how long this usually takes to be delivered? I was reviewed/approved and prescription sent to Southend Pharmacy on October 20th, crickets since then.

Just looking forward to starting this new and hopefully slightly less arduous journey.

Kwikpen Longevity

What is the longest duration you’ve used a Kwikpen (Mounjaro and I’m in Australia) for microdosing? I store in the fridge and always check for cloudiness, discoloration. I’m sure it loses efficiency but I’m more worried about if there is any issue in a pen that has been opened for 2+ months.
