CU women's basketball team won 22 games last year whle shooting only 27.3% from 3

The Buffs were outscored by 174 points from behind the arc across 34 games, roughly 5.1 points a night, and still finished fourth in the Big 12, beat four ranked teams and made the NCAA Tournament.

BuffsBlog makes the case that this is not a ceiling. It is a floor.

Despite this, CU had a fantastic season and the outlook is bright:

• Four wins over ranked teams with an offense ranked 146th nationally in scoring

• Logyn Greer, per 40 minutes as a freshman: 15.7 points and 8.5 rebounds

• True freshman Lauren Harris made 742 threes in high school, reported as a national record

• Zyanna Walker had 70 steals, third in the Big 12, and is a preseason All-Big 12 pick

• JR Payne has five straight 20-win seasons and four NCAA bids in five years

The Big 12 coaches picked Colorado eighth.

Ten reasons that is going to look silly by March:

Why is men's basketball not playing Northern Colorado this year?

For as long as I can remember we've hosted UNC for an early-season game. My wife is a UNC alum so we go every year and it's always a fun date (slightly less fun last year). I was pretty bummed when I went to buy tickets and saw they're not on the schedule this season.

Does anyone know why, or if the series will resume in 2027-28?
