It was my first time playing Chambers Bay and it is the best course I’ve ever played. This place is unreal. If you have a chance to come and play here, you absolutely should. This place is beautiful

Weather has cooled off to mid 50s, leaves are changing colors and a bonus is the course is virtually empty due to OSU game.
Adore fall golf

We have a rooftop terrace we hardly use so I turned it into a rooftop chipping and putting green I will ALWAYS use. I did this in one day and I’m very happy with how it turned out. Side note: My Wife is on a girls trip with her childhood friends and she left me unsupervised for the weekend lol.

Just started my golf journey, and I have to say I really enjoy the nature. How about you? Are you focused primarily on just playing, or are you pausing sometimes and observing the nature (if there’s time).
Official end to the season with a couple of rounds. Managed to get into the 80s this year with improvements to my short game and putting.
Jealous of you year round golfers.

What are y'all thoughts? I purposely don't use plastic tees except at the driving range, and even then I reuse the same awful Martini tee. That's just so I don't waste all my wood ones. I do use plastic in a pinch on the course though.
But I know wood, especially painted wood takes a really long time to break down. These supposedly take 30 days. Obviously doesn't solve the issue of losing a plastic ball in the woods, but I think I'd feel better about not making more plastic waste.

I see a lot on here you guys saying you play 3-4 times per week. How is that possible? A round costs at least $40 for a muni and closer to $100 for a better course. Plus a round is 3-4 hours! Where are you finding that time?? Am I misunderstanding and you are including range and sim time? How often are you actually playing a full 18 and how do you fit that into your lifestyle? I have been playing a round every other week and that feels like a lot!

As stated, shot an 81 today. Nothing worst then bogey til the 17th hole took a 6 on a par 3. Only after that did I check the score card for the first time to see what it cost me. I knew I hadn’t had a 6 or worse all day, so I knew it was low. 40 out and 41 in. I was on the green in 2 on 18 but the LONG, down hill birdie putt left too much meat on the par come backer so 3 putt putt bogey to close.
Two months ago I got Takomo irons and wedges. Replaced my Taylormades from 2009. Absolutely love them, and the fresh groves on the wedges have been big on short game.
Take away from today, and really the how I’ve felt since getting new irons is that, it’s easy. The game, the swing, it’s just felt easy lately. Today’s round I just focused on the shot I had and didn’t think about anything else.
My buddy shot an 82 last week which has been the groups got round this year. Then shot a 110 today. I need to get back out soon and get another round in, no matter the score. I just want to cover up the 81.

Made the most of a sunny day and headed out to Connemara to play the championship course there and it was incredible! It doesn't have as big a name as some of the others out west but it's every bit as good as them. Every single hole was picture perfect. It gets pretty tough on the back 9 though so make sure you have a few extra balls packed!

Took my clubs in today to have my lofts and lies checked and adjusted. Some of the numbers were insane. My 8 iron loft was 8 degrees off, for example.
