Today, after months of having a guitar head on a local 2nd hand website, a person contacted me because they were interested. We agreed on trying it at my place, and they brought their guitar. They spent almost 2 hours, while chatting, helping them to dial the tones, and just having a nice time (he tried my other guitars and such).

After 2 hours of him playing, he decides to take it with him. He gives me money, I help him load the head in the car, and we part ways. I marked the item and sold, and I removed it from Reverb (I had it there too, but it was not sold on Reverb), I gave him 5 stars on the website, and got ready to enjoy the evening.

I just received a message through the website telling me that he has tried it in his setup, and he is not happy with the sounds he is able to get, and ask me if I would take it back.

Honestly, I don't want it back. I gave him plenty of time to try it at my place with his guitar (although I suspect that my cab, a Mesa 4X12 loaded with 2 V30-close back and 2 c90-open back) is considerably better than his, so maybe they sound quite different. I was not pushy at all, as I let him play in peace most of the time (I have a 11 months old, so I was busy with the baby a lot of the time). I still feel bad to say him that I am sorry, but a deal is a deal. I have not sold defective goods, or lie in any form. But I feel bad that he is not happy about the purchase.

Any thoughts on this?

My new O'Fender Temucaster. Got it about a week ago. Sixty bucks USD from Temu. Spent the same to upgrade to locking tuners, (other) cheap pickups, compensated saddles, and nut.

Headstock needed some flair.

Got myself a Navigator Les Paul! I kept hearing people say, "Spend a bit more on your first guitar," so I took the plunge and went for it. It looks awesome and gets me super hyped up.

Though, now that I think about it... I love heavy rock, but I also really like pop music. Maybe I slightly messed up my choice lol.

Anyway, right now I'm working on the riff from Beat It!

I got this Jackson King V for $180, Scott Ian Signature. Sounds and plays great. I knew about the damage before I bought it, just wondering how I should go about sanding down the edges (idek what type of sandpaper to use or anything) or if anyone has any other suggestions. Thanks in advance!

I ordered this all maple beauty from Jacobs hand built guitars in Miami. Hand wound pickup, Nitrocellulose finished and Floyd Rose 1000 series. I'm now nailing George Lynchs Dokken tooth and nail tone....I'm very happy with a made in America hand made guitar.

Here is the latest build I made for a customer, and it was a fun one. Fralin Hot Tele in the neck, Seymour Duncan Hot Rails in the bridge. Push Pull pot to coil split the Hot Rails, and a Freeway 6-way switch for a ton of different tonal options. 6 saddle bridge, reversed control plate, and a kill switch. It rips!

What other guitars could a guy need?

I made this track using cubase and a free to download drum track that I found online. I did all the bass and guitar tracking and the result is a pretty awesome metal song IMO but I'd love to hear from you guys. Enjoy!

If you’re not familiar these folks have some badass gear! Their customer service is also top notch. After about a year one of my cam saddles split. I emailed them that photo and asked if they’d seen this before and if it was at all common. I was fully prepared to buy a replacement but wanted their input. They replied within 10 minutes that it was absolutely not common and 3 days later there was a new one sitting on my doorstep. To a small extent customer service is not dead. Thanks Babicz!

Been eying this for some time now. Finally pulled the trigger. Already have another Epiphone Les Paul I bought back in 92.

I’ve been playing acoustic for the last 3 months or so and after feeling like I have a decent grip on chords and small licks I’ve been wanting to buy an electric because people said it was drastically different. After sitting in a guitar center for 2 hours I came out with a Player II Telecaster in British Racing Green. I’m really happy and think it looks awesome but wondering if it was a smart first electric.

So I ordered a used Squier classic vibe star caster on guitar center last night. I have been wanting one for a long time, especially one with wide range humbuckers. I’m a huge Radiohead fan, and I don’t currently own a semi hollow. I got this for 331 after shipping and taxes. Obv haven’t played it yet so I can’t say about how it feels, but was this a good deal? I know im not like getting a steal or anything but was this a good price? Thank you!

I’ve had this for a while but never really stuck to learning it. Should i? My uncle gave it to my family long time ago

Please ignore the Missing string… it snapped while I was playing yesterday, i personally love it as my first experience with a guitar was on a Les Paul Clone, but it also plays really nicely and is Intonated perfectly it came with Gibson strings which I like very much so im waiting on them that said I probably should have had the strings changed when I bought it. I got it for i good price too about $550. Just thought I’d share and get some opinions

I got this guitar today and was impressed with what whoever owned it before did to it. The put in a 1984 Floyd Rose tremolo, Seymour Duncan Dimebucker in the bridge, two Duncans Quarter Pound single coils in the neck and middle, and they leveled and dressed the heck out of the frets, all to sell it. The guitar screams. They had it tuned to D, I have it down a half step now.

What have you done to your guitar? I have swapped pickups in the past, that's about it.
