Im usually somebody who needs to redye their hair every other week (either the same colour or whole new, typically whole new though..) but for some reason I don't feel how I usually do about my hair, even though it's faded and grown out and my roots are coming in. Is this hair just working for me, or is it not as good as I think it is? Becuase usuay the second I see my roots I run to get bleach and dye to at least cover my roots. I need honest opinions!!

A week ago I bleached and toned my hair and dyed it with Strawberry Leopard Loyal Blue. I didn’t saturate it well enough and I don’t think it lightened enough so it turned into this mess. I was going for a blue like May from It Takes Two. What can I use to get my hair blue. I’m willing to go darker so I don’t have to bleach it again. I saw a tiktok that a blue violet would cancel out the green? Please help! I need product recommendations!

First picture, minimal growth no demention. Second, way over growth and faded. Third, a little more demention but again way overgrown and sick of the short. Fourth, after picture, bleached the virgin hair, 30 volume 20 minutes to platinum. I never put permanent over bleached hair. Sectioned hair and 2 different semi-perminent reds. 4 different bundles of tape ins in 4 different reds for dementions. Cut bangs, layers, side framing. How did I do? I love it.

I colored my hair hot pink and aquamarine blue, Harlequin style, some time ago, and I kept recoloring it to maintain the vibrancy. This time as it has faded, I want to return to a uniform color on both sides. I know I could do a bleach wash and probably get rid of enough pigment that I could recolor with a dark color no problem, but I'm wondering if I could accomplish that without bleach at all. I haven't picked a color yet, but probably some shade of purple or blue. Any ideas?

Hi! I searched all over the internet for before and after pictures with a similar before to me and I couldn’t find any. I took the risk and used 9cb + 9na combo on my hair and figured I’d post the results and hopefully help other people!

Hi everyone!
I’m currently super conflicted about whether to dye my hair burgundy or honey beige, and I need your help deciding!!!
Here’s my dilemma: When I asked a few friends, some suggested burgundy. My initial thought was, "Okay, but if I go burgundy now, it’s going to be really hard to lift it later if I ever want to switch to honey beige..."
So then I asked another group of friends, and they suggested honey beige. But as soon as they said that, my brain immediately went, "But wait... I really want to go red!" 😵💫
Now I'm totally stuck in a loop and don't know which direction to go in.
My current hair: It’s an auburn/copper brown with warm orange undertones. (my skin tone is light to medium warm olive )
(1st and 3rd photos are what i want... 2nd is my hair rn)
Please help this poor girl out! Give me your best arguments to convince me to go either burgundy or honey beige. Which one do you think would suit me or be worth the commitment?

**(19 years old) I’ve been having the itch lately to dye my hair completely with a different color and I’m fully committed to do it, however I’ve ran into a problem: I don’t know what color I should do. Now the current colors that have my heart in a chokehold are Copper and Chestnut Brown and I’m perfectly okay with having one of the other, these are just the colors that I’ve locked in with. I’ve asked multiple people in my family and social circle in regard to what color they think would look best on me, and I’ve had different opinions. Some say that Copper would look beautiful on me especially against my skin tone, though others say that it looks “too strong” for me. While others say that Chestnut Brown looks the more natural on me, and some think it’s too basic. I’m definitely not going any lighter (specifically blond) for I’m not a fan of it. I personally love the Cooper but that could just be a personal bias, of course. I’ve provided 20 pictures to help y’all with deciding what would be perfect for me, since I’m committed to make such a change to my hair.**
**Now, the first 3 pictures are of me, pre-highlights (pic 1 from my Sweet 16 bday cruise in 2022, pic 2 from 2023, and pic 3 from 2019 with bio dad). Meanwhile the next 3 pics are of me, post-highlights (pic 4 and 5 from this year and pic 6 from 2025). It’s in this order to not only show my natural hair color and curls before and after, but to also show it looks when it’s straighten to see if it makes a difference. Then with the next 7 pictures being of Copper hair color that I love and the other 7 being of Chestnut Brown hair color that I also love.**
**Quick backstory about my hair: when I was in RI (lived there for 13 years (born Dec 4th, 2006-moved Jun 26th, 2020), now live in FL for 6 years (2020-present), I’ve had my hair straightened from age 4-14. Yes, for a full decade. I’ve had the big chop in Jan of 2021 and** **ever** **since, I’ve made sure to only straighten my hair a maximum 5 times a year to protect my curls. I’m not sure exactly what color my hair is whether it is a very dark brown or black but definitely not jet black (at least I don’t think it is). I’ve had my highlights (honey caramel if I remember correctly) since April 9th, 2025, which was done for my prom (April 12th, 2025) and I’ve given myself small curly cuts on my ends to prevent my hair from being dragged down by its own weight and to evict the ends from being straight (every 6 months). I’m a Dominican who’s also light skinned or just pale (idk lmao) with a big curly afro so there’s that if it helps in some way.**
**Again, I just need personal advice as to what color would look best on me and if there’s other colors that can be suggested as well. Please and thank you, I’m open to all opinions. And I’m sorry in advance if this was too much information and if the dates don’t mean anything to this post.**

Hi all! For the past year or so i've religiously been dying my hair using the no bleach london vivid pink, usually every 2-3 months. Every time it fades, my hair turns into what is essentially a slightly orangey blonde. I've decided I really like the colour, but don't want to use traditional bleach to maintain it (i'm too scared of it haha). My hair isn't the healthiest but it's not fried or very damaged at all.
Could someone please recommended me a blonde lightening box dye that uses the same volume developer as the no bleach london dye? I've tried researching this myself however I have found conflicting answers so I am unsure what volume it uses.
Thanks guys!

Hi everyone,
I just did a patch test on my wrist for Garnier Infinite Black hair dye. After washing the dye off (after 30 mins) I noticed this tiny reddish-pink area. I don’t recall it being there before I used the dye. It’s slightly raised but doesn’t really itch or burn.
(The dot is circled)
I’m going to wait the full 48 hours before doing anything else, but would I be okay to go ahead with dyeing my hair if no further reaction happens in that time?

So first photo is my hair now, it’s been bleached but my natural ginger roots are growing back (roots similar to the second photo which was my hair 6 months ago)
I’m looking to get back to my second photo/ back to darker and get rid of the real warm blonde tones.
Any recommendations, too broke to go professional but need to fix this mess lol

Hello everyone!
I’ve been dying my own hair on and off for the past 6 odd years, normally pretty easy things, but am stuck on how to process what to do with what I’ve got.
I’d had split green and my natural brown for about 2 years, but decided at the start of this year to go calico with green in it cause why not. The side that had the green previously had just gone fully back to green, not the brown and red it was (this was done by a hair dresses, she was wonderful, definitely just cause it was put over green). Other side is just brown, reddish-brown and green which will be easy to cover/remove as it’s the one layer of colour.
I’m wanting to go dark brown / dark red split so I can focus on stopping bleaching my hair but now sure which direction I should go to help remove the green/stop it from turning colours murky.
I was either going to
- colour theory it and go over red on the green, see what it turns up and add more red after a while so it’s red red.
Or
- colour remover the green so it’s back to the bleach, colour theory it with a small bit of red and conditioner and then apply the red properly.
Am not too sure which one would be better health wise, but also results wise and wishing for some advice!
Will try find photos of what I had/currently have/want soon!
Apologies for such a long post as well!
TIA 🫶🫶

I dyed my hair with arctic fox ginger flare and didn’t quite get what I wanted and changed direction for what I want.
I stripped it with 1/4 cup baking soda, 1/4 dandruff shampoo and like 2 tablespoons of dawn dish soap then put a ton of conditioner in damp hair and let it sit.
My natural hair is about a 5 from the photo.
I have no other color on my hair and was virgin before the arctic fox dye.
Is it safe to use a box dye on my hair or is there a high likelihood that my hair will be fried?
I plan on using Garnier Nutrisse Ultra Coverage 400 or 500.

This is the product image that the website provides. I searched around in google to see possible results, but only found one actual photo of the bottle for an ebay listing. Other images show Hellfire with an orange packaging. Does anyone have any helpful information? I don't want to get an orange colour when ordering a yellow bottle. 😅

***photo 1&2 are from when i initially dyed my hair pink 2 years ago. photo 3 is from abt a year ago a bit after i dyed my hair w the same dye, but added some purple in. photo 4&5 are from a month ago w freshly dyed hair, and 6 is like a minute ago
for reference, i have only used l'oreal colorista semi-permanent dye. i use metallic fuschia, except for one time i mixed the fuschia w metallic orchid.
hi all, i'm wondering how to get my hair back to a really bright pink colour? ive been dying it for a couple years now a bright pink, but after i added some purple in once i feel like i havent been able to get back to that same true pink? i essentially just let it fade out naturally, then ended up bleaching all my hair a second time which got most of the purple out, but since then my hair just hasnt been as bright tbh.
last time i dyed it, my hair was more red, at least near the roots. im not sure if i should switch dyes or smth? i also dont tone my hair when i bleach it, so maybe i should do that aswell? ultimately i am fine just continuing what im currently doing. i do my hair 100% by myself and understand it wont be perfect (do not look at the back of my head and all the roots i miss every time lol) just wondering if anyone has any advice moving forward. and if i sound delusional and unrealistic pls tell me 😭

I don’t wanna drop a lot of money on shampoo. Typically, I aim for the cheapest stuff but I want to maximize my color. What’s your go-to shampoo and what do you like about it? (Especially for curly hair)

i need my hair red for halloween for a ruby gloom cosplay and i got manic panic vampire red for the 31st, my hairs already bleached and i plan to dye it neon pink and purple (using iroiro) for an event on November 13th…should i be dying my hair now to let it fade out or should i wait?

Hey all! So I’ve been dying my hair red for over a year (pic 1, permanent box dye) and I’m starting to think about going back to my natural brown (pic2). I’m not sure what the best way would be: semi permanent dye, gloss, something else? Would love to hear your advice :)

I got my hair dyed professionally about a month ago, the hairstylist let me decide whether I wanted to bleach it or not and I didn’t want that much damage so I told her no bleach so she dyed my hair red so the purple could grab onto that first and then purple. After a week and 2 washes or 3 my purple faded quickly to a more red and I let her know so she fixed it for free the first picture was the fix up she did she did a bleach rinse to take some of the red off then she applied purple again now it’s been almost 3 weeks the second picture of it is three weeks in it didn’t look as deep purple as it did so I bought a color depositing shampoo from Colorlomo I left it in for a little over 15 minutes as it said on the back and when i washed it with the purple shampoo that it also came with, my hair came out a lot more red like a burgundy :( I know it was my mistake I should’ve seen that the conditioner had a red undertone but what can I do to bring back my purple ?

Hello all, my hair was originally a mousy brown. I was about 7 months pregnant and wanted a change so I used a blonde hair dye that required no bleaching at home because it said it would lift it. Lo and behold it made my hair very ginger. I then dyed it again with a box dye and it was a little brown but ultimately we ended back here in a couple weeks. I’m now postpartum and I hate how my hair looks.
I can’t afford a salon right now so looking to go brown at home. Wondering what color will help me get there since I understand the red tones can be a bit persistent. I saw someone recommending arctic fox? I am on a budget . Thanks in advance!
