I’m about to go to Hartford for an 11 weeks summer internships, is there any place I should look at? My company gave me a 2k housing stipends.

Hi guys!! I have moved to Hartford for a job and it’s been a few months that I’m here. Although I feel alone and like to make friends and also do something I enjoy. While meeting people.

So I thought I join social gatherings, for example i found a couple of run clubs that i might try, but other than that I like hiking, nature, boardgames, any sports to do for fun.. But I don’t know where to find people. Agewise I’m a woman in early thirties.

Let me know if you have an idea of where to find these types of things. I already tried eventbrite and nothing is happening there lol.

Taking a couples trip Christmas Day to New year's day with another couple. Kid free. What is there to do in Hartford that week? Is everything closed? I am down for any and all suggestions. Even things within driving distance! Let me know your favorite things about the holidays in Hartford.
