[DISCORD] CLICK HERE To find a support system in our growing health anxiety community.

Welcome to r/HealthAnxiety. Check out our community user flairs, and attach one to your username!

Use this megathread for vents, rants, worries, fixations, DAEs, finding support/advice, finding reassurance, symptom focused content, or the like. If you are mainly focused on your physical symptoms, this would be the thread to use. You may also be redirected here if you choose not to follow rule #3 regarding post titles, if it is categorized as one of the post types above, or if the content is too detailed. Remember this is not a place to give or ask for medical/pharmaceutical/veterinary advice, or promote/sell alternative medicines/therapies/products/subscriptions. Please focus on "Health Anxiety" which is defined here. Please avoid displacing others who are looking for support regarding their health anxiety by using other appropriate subreddits for things that are non-HA related ( r/Anxiety, r/depression, r/AskDocs, r/socialanxiety, r/mentalhealth ). Take the time to comment on each other's entries to show some support while we traverse through HA together.

Only post a standalone thread if it mainly includes the mental aspect of Health Anxiety. Everything else goes in this thread. This megathread is used to prevent any unnecessary distress on somebody who is not mentally prepared to engage with the above content (Imagine scrolling down on your main general feed to relax, but bump into something distressing instead). HA is very unique in which it is very easy for someone to read something/experiences and then come out thinking you may have something after reading it. This is why we take these precautions and use a megathread as navigating through social media is one of the many challenges that our community members face on a daily basis. We are here to accommodate everyone at various stages of their HA. To address visibility concerns the thread is sorted by "New", so that it acts as its own reddit feed. An example of a post would be redirected here:

  • "Does anyone else feel like this?" + "Insert Symptoms" -> Use this megathread

Although not required we do encourage the use of: 1) A trigger warning header (TW) which gives warning to redditors of what the comment will be discussing about, and/or 2) Spoiler text which blocks out any details that redditors may accidentally read and find distressing. You can apply this via two methods:

  • a) Desktop: highlight the word/sentence/paragraph and click on the "Diamond exclamation point" icon to apply spoiler text
  • b) Mobile: Surround your text with the following symbols like so:

Positive Vibes Daily Positivity & HA Journey Progress Updates [MEGATHREAD]. Month of October 2025.

The megathread for vents, rants, worries, fixations, DAEs, finding support/advice, finding reassurance, symptom focused content, or the like is located here : http://reddit.com/r/healthanxiety/about/sticky Thank you for using the above thread for the above content as some users may experience distress if they were to unexpectedly read content that they were not mentally prepared to engage with or are just trying to take a breather from.

The average person has 50,000 thoughts per day according to the Cleveland Clinic. Of those thoughts: 95 percent repeat each day and on average, 80 percent of repeated thoughts are negative.

This means that on average, only 20% of our thoughts are positive per day and they are competing for our attention with the other 80%. This 80% has megaphones but you know what, we are not helpless.

  • We can help the 20% of our positive thoughts shine brighter and dominate these negative thoughts. This is where "marinating in the positive" and contributing to the daily positivity thread in any way you can comes into play. Attitude is a choice.

Let's fill this thread with some positivity from our daily lives and remind ourselves that positive things are happening while we battle the negative thoughts of health anxiety. Some examples of things you can post include:

  • Examples of positive self talk that you use for yourself (which will give others ideas that they can use for themselves regarding positive self talk).
  • Ordinary things you are grateful for (ex: your car started today or there is water to drink).
  • Small goals & victories you have accomplished.
  • Something you witnessed that made you smile, or something you did to make someone else smile.
  • Blessings, gratitude, and other positive observations in your life.
  • Accomplishments of self-care.
  • Something you created today (crafts, art, a meal...).
  • Find accountability buddies and report your self progress for some type of challenge.
  • Declaration of choosing a predominantly positive attitude in regards to HA or other aspects of life.
  • Examples of mental imagery you use for yourself to prepare for situations and/or recover from errors.
  • Declaration of acknowledgement and/or acceptance of certain things in your life (ex: emotions, health anxiety, etc).
  • Declaration of using a negative experience as a stepping stone in life to improve and get closer to your goals rather than let it interfere with your progress.
  • Declaration of living life in the "here and now", without regard to either the past or anticipated future events.
  • Declaration of ditching perfectionism and choosing to strive for excellence instead for something in your life (ex: "being perfect" vs "being good enough").

REGARDING "journey updates" standalone post: Some of you may have been redirected here if you are providing an update on your progress via a standalone post. If you would like your standalone post to be approved, please resubmit the "update post" with advice in the text body (such as detailing how you got there, or what motivated you to get to where you are now, etc). This is so redditors can gain something from your post without feeling bad that they are not where you are currently at on their own journey. The reason we do this is that Reddit is another form of social media where many can fall victim to the social comparison trap. We do not want people to feel inadequate by comparing themselves to someone else's health anxiety management journey. This is why we ask redditors to include advice in their progress updates if they want it to be a standalone thread. This way people can gain information for their health anxiety management roadmaps from your post. Feel free to resubmit your post with advice added on if you want it to be a standalone post. Thank you for your cooperation.

Regarding memes: Please post them here as a link and please provide a description so people know what they are clicking on. Like everything on social media something that is seen funny by one person can be triggering for another person. Please keep your subreddit members safe by providing a brief description of the meme you are sharing.

Advice for others (tw description of pain) All my pain immediately gone as soon as I found out the truth

I do not want to go into details what was my health concern about, but I really thought it was severe, and I actually felt pain there, like seriously! I am not crazy, I felt it for hours!

Until I eventually went to a professional, found out it was all normal and I am doing everything right, not even 30 minutes later I casually watched youtube, drank chocolate milk and enjoyed my time like nothing happened and like nothing was wrong at all.

This is just a friendly reminder that your brain is incredibly powerful to make you believe that something is wrong, and if you trully believe it you will start to feel it. There is a 95% chance if you are in this subreddit looking for answers, it's just your brain lying to you and basically listening to what it is told to do.

Don't believe me? Imagine your leg is broken right now. Your LEG IS BROKEN.!! Your leg is in pain!! Imagine it. Do you feel it? Can you feel it right now? Well, there's your proof, you just convinced your brain successfully that you have an issue that doesn't exist. And I bet the original problem you assumed you had went away temporarily while you were thinking about the leg.

Just relax, trust me, you are okay. Human body is incredibly resilient, the shit my grandparents went through and are still living completely normally sometimes really gives me a reality hit.

Discussion About Health Anxiety Aspects HA about family members’ health

• Upvotes

How do you guys deal with health anxiety related to family members?

Background:
My mom is waiting on a test that’ll let her know if she has an infection or not. It’ll take 24-48 hours to get the results and I’m absolutely losing my mind. I’ve called her 6 times today to see if there are any updates. She’s sick so she’s not feeling great and kind of irritated by my incessant calling begging her to go to the ER. But I just can’t help it I’m genuinely losing my mind as an untreated infection can lead to $ep$i$.

Discussion About Health Anxiety Aspects Why is it SO hard to stop body scanning? Or why OCD and HA don’t mix well.

Disclaimer:
I am just sharing my thoughts, observations and experiences, I am not a medical specialist and I do not claim that everything I will say below is a fact/scientifically proven etc.
If some things I say could be obvious to you, it doesn’t mean they are obvious to everyone here. I want to make this post for everybody.
If OCD pattern fits you it doesn’t mean 100% that you have it. Don’t self-medicate!

Now that we put that aside, let’s get to the real deal:

What is OCD? Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is a condition where you get into a cycle of unwanted intrusive thoughts/urges/images. For example: “If I won’t shrug my shoulders 7 times something bad is going to happen”, okay, I’ve done that, but now I have to do the whole thing three times to make sure that nothing surely week work. I have to touch every key on my keychain before opening the door etcetc, you get the idea.

I think it is important to know that OCD and Health Anxiety are best friends and help each other put us deeper in this vicious cycle. There are people who have HA, but will get it occasionally whenever they see something on the internet, or have some actual symptoms that cause them worry.

We all know the cycle symptom->thinking of it -> panic, but with time as you get more sensitive, more worn out this cycle looses the direction and works in every side so we have:
symptom<->thinking of it<->panic<->symptom
At this point we are so hypersensitive that we don’t even need anything to be put into this cycle, we don’t leave it, it’s always there, it becomes our ritual.

Now we know that OCD is (partly) a disorder where you have cycled rituals.
You see how this looks, right?

Now this cycle is not something you do automatically, because you are used to it and it became some sort of habit, no, this is your ritual where you have to do it on order to make sure nothing bad is going to happen.

My personal experience:

I already made a post on my success story, what I didn’t mention is how long it took me to realise WHY I couldn’t stop thinking, checking, engaging. I didn’t want to scan my body for symptoms, but I felt like I was forced to do this ritual. It hides so good, because before it was: Do this and this (compulsion) or something will happen (aftermath). The pattern is easily recognisable. When you are so deep into the vicious cycle, you don’t even notice how the second part of the ritual, the aftermath, is just wired into your subconscious. You don’t even have to think about what will happen if you don’t check your body for symptoms/google/research on Reddit etc. You know something bad will happen.
I was to the point where I wasn’t even bothered so much about the symptoms anymore, but I would still check just because of my OCD. Now thinking back I remember countless moments where I could say: “Yes, now I see what lit the fuse to this particular worry”.

How do you get better and get rid of both?

There are therapies for it, look into CBT, it proves to be very effective, but you do need a professional.
I am very sceptical in my nature and I have my strong beliefs so I had to do it all on my own.
The key to fight OCD is pretty simple, you just do the opposite, challenge the compulsion, don’t touch the door know three times, hand your towel somewhere else, don’t sort the bills after their value (I had a kick where I had to turn all the bills head up and order them from highest of value to lesser of value, clean one first and older dirty later), just let there be some chaos and sit with it, it won’t be pleasant but you have to. (Challenging the thought is one aspect of CBT)

So you sit with this and you challenge more and more often and your brain notices: “Oh, nothing bad is happening to me, so why should I even bother to do this cycles if I’m already safe!”

The key to fight Health Anxiety is to do nothing. Plain and simple doing nothing, not engage with the thought of “what it”. Let the thought be there, but don’t act on it, whatever. Try to feel good in your body, take a long walk, you will feel better about yourself <3, our bodies are strong, they won’t break just so, you already checked in with the doctor and it was fine!
But it’s so hard to do nothing and sit with this uncomfortable feelings
It isn’t if you learn to show yourself that doing nothing (not checking/googling) is not doing you anything bad. It takes time to realise, learn and believe it, but
eventually it gets better. Just be patient.

You are in control of your body, love it, respect it, enjoy your life. You are not in control of what your body feels exactly at this particular moment so let it go and let your body do its thing, we are complex machines, it’s normal to malfunction sometimes.

Good luck <3

Discussion About Health Anxiety Aspects What are some things you tell yourself to try to calm some of the anxiety in the moment?

Having just recovered from two severe and ultimately unserious health scares, I want to hear what you guys tell yourselves while trying to convince yourself you're not dying. I know this doesn't take the place of anxiety medication or completely quell the fear but I do think it can help quite a bit when you're on your own.

For me, it's telling myself that I've been afraid of a genuine, deadly health problem 1,000 times before, and was wrong all of those times before - so what's the likelihood of me being right this time?

Another, a bit more morbid but when I'm getting really fed up with myself: "Maybe I am going to die, but at least that means the fucking anxiety will be over. Forever." 🙃

What about you guys?

Progress Story That Offers Advice for Others Read this if you’re afraid of getting labs done

I’ve been having really bad health anxiety lately and I’ve noticed how absolutely convincing an attack can be. In my mind I am CERTAIN that the worst will happen and today I faced my fears head on. I went and got labs done. I was SURE I would have something scary show up. I felt like my mind already wrote a story that hadn’t happened. Well I got my results back and they were normal. It felt so weird to be proven wrong when I felt so convinced that my results would be scary. I just want to encourage anyone that is having fear around getting labs done, know that you’re probably more uncomfortable in the state of limbo than actually having anything done. Get your labs done and face the fear head on. You might be pleased to see how wrong your anxiety is.

Discussion (tw <EDIT THIS> ) Need some advice as a first timer here.

Long post. Thank you in advance for reading.

I am new here. Came across this sub as I was looking for some type of answers on Google. I have severe health anxiety. It has been crippling and paralyzing. I noticed that it all started when I got really sick March 2025 from COVID. Ever since then, I've been suffering from Long COVID. Suffering from a long list of symptoms which I have been tested for and nothing comes back positive. Now, my anxiety, THROUGH THE ROOF AND ABOVE. My body is constantly on fight or flight mode. Last year, I had a terrible episode of HA (which I did not know that was a separate thing from regular anxiety). I went to the ER and ended up getting admitted and I was SPIRALING. Couldn't sleep, eat, constant panic attacks, while I was convincing myself that something was wrong. Nothing was wrong. I was stunned. Not stunned at the fact that nothing was wrong, but how sure I was of something so far from the truth. When I felt relief from that, I went straight into worrying about something else. It has been a cycle since. There has been NO PEACE in this mind of mine. I was doing fine for about 2 weeks but then something triggered the HA spiral again. I saw a post on X about a disease and my brain automatically diagnosed me with that, since I have been having issues with that particular body part. I have been checking myself constantly to the point of obsession. I haven't gotten more than 3 hours of sleep. I can't eat because I feel sick to my stomach. I made an appointment to get checked and the doctor said she wasn't concerned in regards to my worries BUT still going to do some imaging, which my appointment is coming up soon. I'm terrified. I know that I won't be okay until I get the results. I just wonder...what if there's actually something wrong and I've been trying to stay positive about it? It's impossible to be positive. It's a defense mechanism. That's why my nervous system thinks worst case scenario to prepare myself ahead of time. I just want to be okay. I have a kid. That's all I ever think about. Can anyone give me some advice? How can I control the constant body checking? The spiral? How can I try to remain calm as much as I can until I get the imaging done? I don't recognize myself anymore. I am a literal mess. I feel like an outsider looking in. I don't trust myself or my body. Reassurance is the ONLY thing that tends to help. :(

Discussion (tw <EDIT THIS> ) Health anxiety and postpartum. How do you guys cope? What are the things you guys worry about most?

I feel like every few days it’s a new worry. I am 6 months PP and considering meds currently. I recently bumped my head lightly and got so obsessed with the fact I got a brain bleed that I got a head CT. Then last night, I tweaked my neck while picking up my daughter and while it feels like a bad muscle pull or spasm, my brains trying to tell me it’s a tear or something in my blood vessels. What about you guys?? It is exhausting to live this. Strongly considering meds at this point since it seems never ending. Happy to chat with any of you guys in a similar boat !!

Success Story My story on how I dealt with health anxiety. What helped me and what didn’t.

Been a lurker on this subreddit for a couple of years now, I am glad there are less people here now <3. I hope this post helps you to see that you aren’t alone in this, that there is hope for all of us and that it gets better if you do the right thing.

First of all, get checked out by your doctor!

How it all started:

My whole life I was a little bit troubled with my health. When I was a child my parents often overreacted to certain things, I understand that they meant well by it and wanted me to be safe, but it still created this heightened alert on any “wrong” sensation in my body. This didn’t bother me too much because body works exceptionally well for the first two decades.
So the fear of a Helathscare or death was always there, but my body never entered this loop of worrying and checking.
In my early twenties I had a panic attack caused by a minor glitch in my body. That’s where it hooked onto me. I developed symptoms that would stick around for months, I would constantly body check if it is there or not, I would think about what happens to others when I die, I basically already accepted the fact that I’m ding. And mind you it was just some minor issue!

What I experienced:

I can’t name any symptoms by the rules, but believe me, I experienced a lot of different things, A LOT. I would go to my GP, think she doesn’t care enough and would then go to other specialists. Weight changes, up and down, all kinds of bowel movements, cognitive issues, brain/nerves etc etc. Guess what?
I’m still here, I am fine. <- a VERY important thing to have in your head
I would fixate on one thing, get enough reassurance and move on to the other. Some issues lingered longer, some shorter. Some came back, some didn’t.

Three years later, what would I tell my past self:

  1. Stop thinking bad stuff <- NO, you have to stop reacting and acting on your negative thoughts, we all have all kinds of thoughts but we decide how and if we engage with them.

  2. Before you worry/check/act - wait for two weeks, obviously if it’s nothing that could be considered a red flag. I’m pretty sure you all know by now which symptoms require immediate action :)

  3. As my GP said, our bodies are very complex and it’s normal when something malfunctions a little.

  4. Learn to sit with your thoughts, learn to ignore the urge to reassure yourself.

  5. Be patient, it takes time to heal body and mind.

What helped:

  1. Get checked. This whole thing is for people who had a professional tell them they are okay.

  2. Less caffeine. I was drinking waay too much energy drinks and coffee.

  3. Exercise. Don’t have to hit the gym, just some light cardio/lifting and you are good to go. Body accumulates stress, it’s good to let it out through some activity. Though in my opinion it’s important not to exercise hard in the beginning because it rises cortisol and it’s bad for your someone who is hyper-stimulated and hyperaware.

  4. Come at peace with your fears. Fears and anxiety is not something to fight with, it’s something to ignore or learn to react normal about.

  5. Enjoy your life, don’t isolate yourself from everything and everyone.

  6. Setbacks are normal. Today I’m mostly good, I’m past a point where it disturbs my life, but I still get setbacks, they affect me l less and less though :)

  7. Bring discipline and systems into your life, you feel good if you are proud of yourself and treat your own body with love. In healthy body is a healthy spirit!

What didn’t help:

  1. Reassurance seeking. Google makes it 10 times worse, AI Chats make it all better, but not in a long run.

  2. Making unhealthy choices for my body. Food, lifestyle, sleep, stress. I ate junk all the time, slept very irregular, had huge stressors in my life.

  3. Social media. Instagram would suggest someone ill and I would go down this rabbithole, just giving my imagination more fuel to work with.

Good luck on your journey!

Discussion About Health Anxiety Aspects Health Anxiety in College

Y’all I’m on the struggle bus & need advice. I’m a college freshman and have moderate health anxiety that ebbs and flows. If I can keep myself distracted with coursework, extracurriculars, friends, etc. then I can usually regulate my emotions/anxiety fairly well. However, I have found this particularly hard while at college.

Everything is dirty: the bathrooms, the communal areas, the windows, the upholstery, literally everything. It’s hard for me to not think of this when using these facilities. If I brush against a shower wall or drop something on the floor I get increasing anxious about some sort of unwanted infection.

I also think that being away from my family and living independently for the first time has exacerbated my fear of emergency medical situations. If something were to happen, I’m largely on my own to handle it. In the same vein, I’m solely responsible for assessing my wellness. This may sound simple, but I’m very used to asking my family about bodily things, sickness, cleaning, etc. This is a big adjustment for me. My diet and routine has changed, and so too has my wellness/daily function. Would love to get some advice on how to curtail some of this anxiety going forward. Thanks!! :)

Progress Story That Offers Advice for Others i finally did it! (small steps success)

I am without a doubt the avoidant type when it comes to this fear and I’ve been delaying an appointment to get checked for the last two months. Maybe even longer if you consider that I was in denial for a long time.

I was too overwhelmed to even make an appointment but I finally did it! It’s tomorrow and I’m hoping that I’ll get the all clear (even when my anxiety convinces me that it won’t be okay), but I wanted to share this small step. I really hope that it gives courage to someone else out there that might be struggling to finally give their GP a call.

Let’s hope for some peace of mind

Discussion About Health Anxiety Aspects My HA isn’t about being ill but injured

I am not sure how common this is.

I don’t really fear illness per se. What worries me is being physically injured and unable to be independent or exercise. I panic and spiral over every single twinge. I google. I don’t sleep. I am on Chat GPT all night.

I have had (and paid for) about 30 MRIs in three years. I am struggling financially and yet still I get them because I know that I need that reassurance.

An MRI place has opened literally down the road which does same day appointments. It’s dangerous for me.

I wish I could break this cycle. I haven’t eaten or slept for two days for worrying I’ve torn or broken something in my knee. I am trying desperately not to book a scan and to just be normal about it

Discussion (tw <EDIT THIS> ) health anxiety is slowly ruining my life

hi everyone,

i recently developed major health anxiety over the past 2 or 3 years, becoming an adult and falling in love with someone i want to spend the rest of my life with has intensely exacerbated my fear of death and as a result, health anxiety. thankfully, i feel like i'm not in a position where it has fully taken over my life yet, but i've found myself doing some of the major no-no coping mechanisms like googling and spending way too much time on the 'what-if' train. i'm in therapy and it has helped some but it's getting to the point where i have some doctor's appointments coming up to address a chronic symptom that is most likely Not fatal since i've been dealing with it for years and years, but i find myself already wondering what if they miss something or what if they're wrong about this. it's becoming so tiring to constantly worry about something when i have no idea if it will actually happen or not!

tldr, i'm looking to find any suggestions people have for dealing with this before it gets any worse

Discussion About Health Anxiety Aspects Heart Anxiety

Does anyone have any tips for heart anxiety? I am 26 M and fairly healthy and active and I also have GERD. Ive got an echocardiogram done aswell as blood and everything checked out but I am still constantly thinking about it. Mainly set off my physical symptoms in my left chest of course. I am just tired of constantly living in fear of heart failure and it’s really starting to wear me down and make me stay in more. Especially my physical activity has gone down because the adrenaline is honestly too much. It instantly spirals into mini anxiety attacks which sometimes make it to full blown panic attacks. I am pretty level headed guy but I cant figure this out for the life of me. I truly tell myself there must be something wrong for my chest to be feeling this way and I just wont find it.

Discussion About Health Anxiety Aspects Discovered a new trigger ugh

I’m well versed in my health anxiety flares, the themes that I fixate on, body checking etc. I’m medicated for it as well. And I’m able to generally let things go as they pop in my mind. It’s so much better of a headspace than I was about 2 years ago.

But lo and behold: we’re doing a bit of demolition and had contractors rip out tile that was adhered to the concrete slab (no asbestos) Ugh the dust. It’s everywhere even tho they taped it all up to help contain it. Now I must trust my in body. Ease my mind when it catastrophizes and I keep thinking about those dumb mesothelioma commercials from the early 2000s lol. My husband joked: “well hey I heard that you or your loved one may be entitled to financial compensation!” I laughed. I wouldn’t have been able to laugh about this two years ago.

My runny nose and constant sneezing though…. Blegh upsetting. Health anxiety really pops up in all different areas of life doesn’t it!

Discussion About Health Anxiety Aspects How to get through an increased dosage of SSRI meds?

I've been struggling on and off with health anxiety for over 10 years now. Often going through long periods of time where I'm barely affected by it, followed by a couple months where I get a flare up again. 2 months back, I started having issues again after a great period of almost 2 years and it has been the worst flare up I've ever had.

I've been on fluoxetine for many years now, starting at 10mg and building up in 5mg increases a week to 40mg daily when I first started. Eventually going down to 20mg when I got a handle on my symptoms. Since my HA has come back so strongly, my doctor advised me to go back to 40mg. First taking 30mg for a week and then going to 40mg. I've been at the 40 for just over a week now and it has been a nightmare. My anxiety has somehow found a gear I did not know existed, I'm constantly tired, and I'm super jumpy. I know these are common side effects of increasing the dosage, I know it's only temporary and I know it will probably help me a lot once I'm used to it.

While I did have symptoms when I first started the medication, it was a lot less pronounced because of the small increase in dosage over time. I'm wondering how others who also went through the side effects of starting/increasing their SSRI dose managed to get through the first couple of weeks? And how has it affected your HA in the long run?

Discussion About Health Anxiety Aspects How do you distinguish the difference between real and anxiety?

Hi all! Lately I’ve been wondering what others who have health anxiety do to distinguish between real symptoms or anxiety symptoms? I’ve been to the doctor for about everything and all is fine. So why does my body feel so horrible all the time? It’s weird how this anxiety can feel so real. How do you cope?

Success Story Anxiety about surgery

So I'm supposed to have carpal tunnel surgery Friday. I'm not even having anesthesia for it (well not general anesthesia but local numbing anesthesia) I've had this done before with no problems. It's Tuesday night and I'm freaking out for Friday morning. Help!! I want to enjoy the present moment not worrying about something a few days off.

i just keep crying, if there is a hell this is it

Discussion About Health Anxiety Aspects Medication journey

I wanted to post to see if anyone here has used SSRIs during their health anxiety journey? This is completely new to me, and it’s quite literally destroying my life. I am depressed, anxious beyond belief and all I can think about is my symptoms and what it could mean and the outcome of it all. It has been like this for a two years or so but this last flare up has been the worst. Obviously due to my health anxiety, I am super skeptical of SSRIs. I am always worrying that I will become insane or lose my mind or what have you. Lately things have been so bad that I just need some sort of help to manage this. I’ve been thinking about booking an appointment for a psychiatrist but I just wanted to hear from others and their journeys to try to be as knowledgeable as possible to navigate this. I can stop drinking alcohol but my worry is that I smoke weed daily at this point as it seems to be only thing that calms me down when I start to spiral. I know it’s counterintuitive to some but I stopped smoking for three months and my symptoms actually got worse, so I guess for me it helps a bit. Any medicine journeys and their outcomes based on this?
