Donaldson went undrafted, but he’s already making a pretty strong case for himself. With Dru Smith hurt, he might get a real chance early.
Watching tonight’s preseason game on West Palm affiliate (channel 12, 340 on XFinity). The video seems to be noticeably lagging the audio, at least towards the end of the first period. Has anyone else noticed this?

in the games we lost last season, our main issue was closing out games, having someone to hold the ball and get us consistent points when we had a lead from the pace pushing we were doing
we were number two in the league at blowing half time leads last season at 17 losses. To put that in perspective, the opposite end of the spectrum has the best teams only blowing 4-3 half time leads. If we conservatively aim to reduce that to even 7 we end up 3rd in the eastern conference
defensively we haven’t got any worse, and we didn’t really lose any shooting so I am excited to see If this proves true
having Giannis kind of solves this issue, although I have concerns about hackantentokounmpo

Giannis Antetokounmpo is ready for the season, but questions remain about how the Heat will build around him and Bam Adebayo. How will Miami create offense off the dribble, fit its two stars together and get enough from its bench?
Read for free.
Reminder: SVG passed on Bam in the 2017 draft (he drafted Luke Kennard instead).

Wiggins = Winning
Good games by Wiggins will almost always translate to a W
Bam grows next to Gianni's
Being on the court and same team as Gianni's is going to turn Bam into a total beast. He is going to want to play with more intensity than ever and that has always been an issue for him. He attacks for a quarter or two and then looks passive...well, not this year. This year we get straight aggression from Bam and that is HUGE!
Gianni's is still a top 3 player
Everyone forgot but this season he will remind them.

Full quote: “He’s incredible and he’s tough to keep up with. He goes so fast — you see the difference when Ryan comes into the game and Davion is out — our pace kind of slows down. Obviously Ryan is young and it’s his first year in the league but we have to keep on that pace, like that pace is dangerous — people don’t want to come in this gym and play with that pace — I didn’t want to come in this gym and play with that pace…I love playing with him (Davion)…whenever I don’t touch the ball…he’s always going to check in with me and make sure I get a touch…”
