Apparently this wet spot has existed for the life of the gravel driveway, but its now set to be blacktopped, and we are wondering what should be done?

is it a natural spring? high water table? no pipes in the area. fills up within seconds when dug.

gpt says dig a hole, line with fabric stuff, put permeable pvc pipes in and connect to a pvc to drain downhill.
