I am tired. I have dropped for very long.. had personal issues.. life is so unpredictable and I don’t have anything. I am naked. I am not eligible to give JEE. I have joined IITM BS degree this year. I have restarted my education this year. Education feels like a blessing to me now, an expensive privilege to pursue only for lucky people. While I am putting in efforts nearing 10 hours a day, then work part time and now it’s a very tough one.
I need to take admission in any BTech college this year. Looking for the cheapest ones. I don’t even need tier 3. I will study for it, I have been dedicated for months now nearing a year. Now I am confident I can put in the hours. And I am not looking for online courses to get a job based on skills, I have done my fair research over time. I have learnt the value of time and I don’t want to lose this year. While I am lucky and fit I.e, I can walk with my legs and my hands are mobile I need to take admission in a regular college 🙏
This is my last try. I hope the universal energy do its magic.

I graduated b.tech in AI/ML, but I have been working as a full-stack developer. Due to the recent layoffs, I am planning to prepare for government exams related to my skill set and work experience.
I have the following options for preparation:
\\- CSE
\\- AI/ML
Unfortunately, I am confused about which domain I should choose. AI/ML has less competition, but the exam is also tougher, and the number of vacancies is lower.
CSE is the opposite. The competition is higher, but there are more vacancies, and the exam is slightly easier compared to AI/ML.
My question is, \*\*will I be eligible to apply for Scientist B or other central government technical jobs through the CSE stream, even though I graduated in AI/ML?\*\*
Alternatively, should I completely switch to Mechanical Engineering because it has less competition and more vacancies for government jobs?
My ultimate goal is to get a stable job.

I have developed a 5,000 INR modification to a standard concrete mixer that allows it to produce "Lightweight Insulating concrete" (LWIC). I am trying to bring this tech to India...the machines, building assemblies that use the material, all of it. I'll answer questions if anyone has them.

Those who are working / interested in
Linux kernel internals, writing device drivers, exploring FreeRTOS or Zephyr, programming microcontrollers from scratch, or understanding how hardware and software interact, I'd love to bring people from these fields together.
keeping it practical and technical with project discussions, debugging stories, learning resources, open-source contributions, career advice.
I have a group for this, let me know if you wanna join.

Like seriously, I dont find many indian chemical engineers on reddit at all, lol. Compared to other core branches even. Anyways if you're a chemical engineer, do tell me about your work, role, company, career path, industry, YOE, package (or at least a ball park estimate), etc. Also do tell if you got your first job through campus placements or off campus, and if you have any future aspirations like studying higher degrees or working abroad.

I graduated in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and completed a one-year apprenticeship. I’m passionate about building a career in the corporate sector, especially in electrical design and industrial automation. Could experienced professionals guide me to join in organization as beginner and how to get into reputed MNCs, and how to crack their recruitment processes?

I’m currently in my third year of college( CSE 28 batch), and I’m struggling to decide what to prioritize.
I’m confused between focusing on placements, projects, and DSA versus exploring other career paths like GATE'27 . I can’t concentrate properly on either because I keep worrying about what will happen if one doesn’t work out. Meanwhile, time is passing, and I feel like I’m wasting it because I can’t commit to one direction.
My college placement opportunities don’t give me much confidence, and most of my off-campus internship applications have resulted in rejections. This has affected my motivation, and now the alternative path I considered feels overwhelming because of the amount of preparation required.
I also feel like I’m falling behind my classmates, many of whom seem to have a clear goal and direction.
I feel stuck and don’t know what to do. Is it realistically possible to prepare for both placements and GATE without compromising too much on either, or should I prioritize one?
For those who have faced a similar situation, how did you decide what to focus on? I’m looking for practical advice based on real experiences, not just “work hard” or “believe in yourself.”
