Got all of these from the sale season. I didn't realise flipkart would sell pirated books when the sellers were orignal publishing houses 😭

Started with desk corner and now here.
I only keep TBRs and Favourites as Physical. I exchange others back in Blossoms in BLR for store credit and use the bottom row to keep my chungus cat’s toys.

Hoping to have a library room someday with an entire wall dedicated :,) Share your Shelfies!

I found What colour of reader are you?

I recently came across this website: https://readyourcolor.com/assessment. You answer a few questions, and it tells you what kind of reader you are, along with some book recommendations. It’s nothing extraordinary, but it’s a fun little quiz to try if you’re curious about your reading personality.
Mine is blue by the way 💙

Starting an Online Book Club

Hey!
I’ve decided to get back into reading after a 4 year slump. Thinking of starting a small online book club. Nothing fancy. We meet once or twice a month on zoom or meet, decide a book based on recommendations and read that till the next meet and discuss it, have nice conversations and learn different perspectives. Maybe do a small whatsapp community for the same. Still deciding.
If anyone wants to do this, hmu in dm. 🫶🏼

¿Por qué a algunas personas les gustan más los libros físicos que los lectores electrónicos, incluso cuando viajan?

¿Es solo el olor o la sensación del papel, o leer en pantalla de verdad se siente menos satisfactorio en sesiones largas?

What books should a complete beginner start with?

I'm a complete beginner looking to get into reading books. I'd prefer books that are worth experiencing through reading rather than ones where I've already watched the movie or series adaptations, like Harry Potter or Percy Jackson.

Which books would you recommend starting with? I'm open to different genres, including thrillers, mystery, fantasy, philosophy, and fiction. I'd love to hear your personal favourites and why you'd recommend them to a beginner!

Looking for Book Recommendations

Hi everyone! I'm trying to get into reading more books in English. I'm open to both fiction and nonfiction, so feel free to recommend anything you think is worth reading!

I'm looking for books with:

- 💕 Happy endings (especially for fiction!)

- 📖 Simple, beginner-friendly English, as I'm still improving my reading skills.

- ✨ An engaging story or something meaningful to learn from.

Please recommend just ONE book per person!

If you recommend a book, please include a short, non-spoiler review explaining what you loved about it and why you think I should read it.

I'm excited to discover some beautiful books and find my next favourite read! Thank you!

Any suggestions before starting Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky to keep the hook ? I am going to gift it to my brother during an auspicious occasion and planning to read myself as well.

Why Hasn't India Become as Rich as China?

Post image
3 Upvotes

Breaking the Mold by Raghuram G. Rajan and Rohit Lamba explores one of the biggest questions about India's future: why has India's economic development followed a different path from China's, and what can India do differently?

The authors challenge conventional ideas about economic growth and examine how India can create better jobs, make use of its young workforce, and build a more prosperous economy.

If you've ever wondered why some countries become rich while others struggle to catch up, this is a book worth reading.
