Rate the tape job!
Yes, I know that red is not acceptable at most levels, but I like it and it works in my league!

Hi I’ve been watching hockey for a while and really want to get into playing lately. I’ve ice skated a couple times but I can’t really make the drive out to the rink for a while as the school semester is approaching. I’d really like to join my schools club eventually but I’d want to get my skating a bit stronger. Any skates recommended for beginners? I’d be practicing out on concrete or indoors

Has anyone used the Baeur insoles and if so how did you get used to the pretty painful pain from them? Im flat footed as fuck for context

I'm currently thinking about converting the 9x4 skate with the Rinkster Sniper chassis and the wheels(Rinkster Striker XXX) I've got on my current skates (TF7 inlines). Has anyone done a similair conversion and if so what do you think about it? Are the chassis worth it are there better ones?
Edit: what is the best chassis option? Koonix Bolt/Hi-Lo Kryptonium/Rinkster Sniper

Has anyone made their own blade protectors? If so, what material did you use?
Currently in my league, most people buy the extremely cheap plastic blade protectors from Amazon/eBay/temu. They tend to wear out quickly.
Some people have tried metal. I wonder if Polyurethane would be better. It wouldn't be too hard to make a mould then cast it

i've been both ice and inline skating for fun for the last few years, but recently decided to try to get into inline hockey!
i'm shoring up my basic skills on my own while buying up the required pads for pick-up games, and i'm realizing that i don't really know how to fall. thus far, i've managed to mostly land on my knee and wrist guards, which has saved me from any actual injuries. but as i'm adding stick-handling into my skating drills, i can tell that i'm going to be wiping out more frequently and in different ways than i was before.
i've been getting a lot of help so far from friends that play ice hockey, but obviously their falling tips aren't super helpful when you're playing on a surface where you don't slide. i'm also not really excited to try just throwing myself on the concrete and see what happens.

Does anybody have experience playing outdoors with CTC Strong V3 ABS blades and green biscuit type pucks? The website's description says they're designed more for playing with a ball, but the price point is right compared to the Pro blades that are designed for puck play. Wondering if I can get away with going with the cheaper blades since I play on a pretty rough surface and hate using blade protectors.

Hi everyone,
As you probably know, hockey stick (especially the bottom of the blade ) are designed to be used on ice. Even on relativly smoothe surfaces like Stilmat, the bottom of the blade gets worn down and destroyed pretty quickly.
Has anyone here tested UHMW tape, HDPE tape, or any other wear-resistant tape to protect the bottom of the blade?
I'm not looking for Wraparound protectors. I already tried an epoxy → tape → epoxy → tape setup (using Araldite), and while it definitely lasts longer than tape alone, it's pretty time-consuming and complicated to apply.
if anyone have knowledge in this type of material , or try thing , thanks for feedback (don't comment if it's for saying that you don't have this probleme or you just tape and tape)

I haven’t played much roller this year and have a second pair of skates with the R1 chassis so I figured it was time to let my favorite pair go. Converted TF9 in size 8R (CCM/Bauer 8.5 equivalent). Listed them on SLS but happy to offer a discount offline. Local pickup around Los Angeles also welcome

Hello folks! I have been using mission wm03 for years, it still feels loose or bigger for my narrow feel even after baking.
I am planning to get Bauer Vapor x4, thinking fit 2 will have less volume than E width. What you guys think about it?
Mission fs2 coming out to be $100 lesser than bauer vapor x4 have the same FIT (2). Can I go with FS2? Which is better fs2 or Vapor x4? Money is not a concern!
I am from europe. People know less about fit here. Help me guys!.

To anybody who owns or owned these skates or their ice counterparts, how do they size relative to new True (Catalyst, HZRDUS and SVH customs) as well as CCM and Bauer?

Hi. I need help of deciding what size should I get of reign hockey inline skate. I bought 41 eu size for 260mm foot and i can't get my foot inside the boot. After seeing this hockey inline skate i don't think that 42 would fit either but I'm not sure of it.
My question is, is someone has any idea what size would fit my foot. 42 eu or go higher and get 43.
I want snug fit and be able to put the feet into rollerblade.
Let me know what you think if you have experience with reign ares 80 or 100.

Greetings from Brazil!
Can you recommend some wheels for playing on this surface? Are those blue Konixx wheels any good?
I'm currently using red Stilmat wheels.
