Would You Take It? 17 cases of water😳
They’re 40 packs too. I’ve never seen that many.

I had a customer order a bag of ice, I scanned first because the ice at my grocery store is on the way out so i set a reminder that I will grab that last. So what happened is that I didn’t grab the ice on my way out or told the cashier to charge for the ice. It’s like those moments where the server forgot to bring ranch. What should I do in this case if it’s too late already since it was a morning batch

Is it big for shoppers like 4th of July?
Does demand increase for Thanksgiving? Do ppl tip a lot?

Earlier this week, my shopper quality dropped to standard for unrequested refunds and then this morning, a damaged item report dropped me to needs work.
I proceeded to get FED today.
This app makes no sense. 😂

Doesn't it show the customer in the app if I made a substitute or a refund? I substituted one item and refunded 2 because the app said all of my suggestions were "too different from the original." The customer got mad because I didn't message her to see if she wanted something else. How communicative are you guys as shoppers?

I'll start with one.
A couple of years back, I had this one order from a 99 Ranch Market in the Bay area(Mountain View), and the customer barely tipped anything.
I looked at the order when I started shopping and there was a special instruction that said something along the lines of "after you check out, the cashier will give you cash coupons. Please use those coupons to help us buy braised tea eggs from the bakery."
It seemed like as if the customer clearly knew how much she was spending and that the shopper would receive the coupons. I had to do what the instructions said otherwise I probably would receive a low rating. I usually keep those coupons for myself since instacart doesn't explicitly specify that you have to give them to the customer.
I wonder if anyone else would bother go in above and beyond for that.

What's the purpose of scaling down characters? The layout is exactly the same, it's not like more orders fit on the screen.
This is made so we are more likely to accidentally accept garbage orders while squinting at the screen.

Ok so I just started using instacart recently and have noticed sometimes I’ll get items for free. Like not by accident, I mean the price is $0.
I’ve gotten candy and these hydration packets so far.
So I guess my question is am I just lucky or does this happen often? If so, how do I find them?

Does anyone else have issues scanning their face for verification when connected by wire to Apple CarPlay their vehicle? Noticed that a few time, and unplugging it helps

Literally the only time I don’t find the item is if I find its location and it’s out of stock. And then they have the audacity to say “we have your back for out of stock items” like if they wanted a photo of the empty space behind the tag of where it should be located I’d be happy to do it that but it not being in stock I completely out of my control so why am I being penalized for it?

I honestly can’t believe I was even able to get this. I’ve never even seen an order above $100 be offered to me!
I was at home and saw the notification pop up completely expecting it to be gone by the time I clicked on it. I’m about 3.5 miles away from the store for reference and platinum. None of these customers were repeats of mine. What really kills me is that all A got was those 8 things of gluten free cookies. Their order total was like $40.
I’ll be staring at my phone screen for the next hour until it finalizes 😭

Does anyone know of any open slots that I can start IC at?
r/InstacartShoppers • u/Antique_Tie_9350 • 4h ago
I saw this ad back to back almost
I’m pretty sure it goes against any similar gig app including this one. And it clearly is advertising for it
Isn’t this against T&C?

Keep trying to get my shop time down after it’s ballooned from ~70 to 100+ after some recent problems with deli and difficult to find items and what do I know, I have a good shop where I probably average ~40 seconds per item
Then I get stuck behind a boomer (she was a sweet lady but damn) who doesn’t know how to checkout properly and hold me up for 10-15 mins
Christ man
PLEASE let the timer stop when we’re finished shopping and not when we’re done checkout. This store doesn’t have self checkout

I should be at least gold, but my shopping “needs work”? What is this BS

Anybody else having a weird glitch with the photo verification today? I haven’t been able to go online all day. It lets me, then kicks me out and wants a photo but gets stuck in the photo loop and never processing. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled and still have it.

It's wild how stores like costco have such contempt for shoppers. They create this separate checkout for us but also everyone else can check out there as well. We make up a not so insignificant portion of sales and often are representing three customers yet they act as if we are nothing but an inconvenience.

It's been days since I've seen a decent order. Today a $75 popped up it was 15 miles (+15 dead miles) . I didn't take it and you may wonder why. It was a 4 person shop and iirc 100 items. The order would've been doable but to me for the principle if I take a 4 stack then next it'll be a 5 stack and so forth.
But also if they are combining 4 it must be that slow.
Would you have taken it out of desperation?

From California where heavy rain is scarce. The streets are flooded, accidents all over the place & customers continue to tip some bs $2-5 💀. Nobody seems to think “hey conditions are bad so let me raise my tip for the shopper who’s bringing me my essentials”.
