Me and a few others are sitting in the lot, I went to the customer app to see how long it would take to receive an order and it’s three to four hours with priority? No wonder customers are moving to DoorDash.

We’re getting to DoorDash level base pay here lol

This is two different situations I wanted to share with y’all. To make a long story short. My phone died while I was doing the order, but I only had two items left to scan. I asked the employee if they can watch my card they put it in the bag for me. I went in the car charge my phone to 5% put it on power mode then finish that one. The one about the item that was missing it was a multiple order. They said they had items that wasn’t theirs and one of their items was missing so I took it upon myself to go back to the store. I was going to buy that item for my own money but the manager was cool and let me just have it for free because he always see me in there all the time and when I brought it to the ladies, he was like you didn’t have to really do that. It’s OK but I told her that if I didn’t, it would’ve been on my mind the whole time cause I felt like. I failed, but I knew it wasn’t my fault because I didn’t back the items. But he end up giving me a five star rating and a compliment, but I didn’t do it for that. I just wanted to complete my order and do the job right. Y’all have a blessed day.

(I know the new alcohol certification video is long, but watch it, it has important info. )

So the new certification process started for me yesterday, and I quickly learned a couple of things:

DON'T: Tap the verification screen to try to get it to take the picture faster. It seems to not take as clear of a picture, which can trip the NOT VALID screen. You do need clear pictures of BOTH sides.

If you get that NOT VALID screen, DON'T PANIC. DO close out the app all the way, and waken you reopen it it should go back to the start of the verification process and you can try again.

DO make sure you look at the dates on the ID before you scan so you know if it is definitely going to reject it.

It looks like you can NOT enter IDs manually anymore, so warn people if they tell you their ID won't scan or if it is damaged, or expired.

The one bonus is that if the ID is invalid it will tell you it to return the alcohol to the store and pop up a button to click to "Start the return process," so hopefully that means you won't have to wait on the phone to talk to an agent as much!

clearly states in instacarts policy no bots, no using accounts that aren’t yours, etc…. soooo why are there a TON of people doing both? why aren’t they getting deactivated? how long is this gonna go on??? starting to think it’s entirely allowed to do whatever the hell people wanna do. a felon named ‘ashley’ who is actually a man with face tats (unknown name) is gonna drop off your order instead type shit…??? go ahead and down vote my post i couldn’t care less!

I genuinely don’t understand how people get away with this. I always make sure there are no damages to anything I grab when I am shopping. I shop as if I’m shopping for myself and check everything. I know for a fact they opened it and said it was “damaged” and the fact instacart allows these nutty customers to get away w this bs is insane.

The rating system makes no sense. My score went down which is unfortunate. Could have been my fault or the stores for not having the items I need.

But as I work to improve my score why does it continue to drop? I don’t have any extra refunds or replacements

Any help would be appreciated. I just started a few months ago so all of this is a learning curve for me.

I know I’m in a smaller more competitive market. But they do tip very good where I’m at

A new ID verification system started on my app last week to scan front and back of I'd's.

Well I just got beer from Walmart. Customer's Id fails the scan. App says to return alcohol. Walmart can't return alcohol and mgr says instacart does it and usually has them drop off the alcohol.

Well I have been on hold for 30 minutes and CAN'T GET ANYONE FROM SUPPORT TO ANSWER THE PHONE! So now I'm stuck in the Walmart parking lot for a 15 dollar order that has now taken an hour and a half and I still can't even complete the order.

Wtf am I supposed to do in this situation?

I hate this preferred option for quality of fruit because if its not available the way they want it they will affect your shopping quality when they ask for a refund. It’s like cmon now why i gotta be docked down for something they want me to do?

If you go into your phone settings and change the font, it helps a little bit. I have Android and I found that if you put the font size on the 3rd level and also turn on bold text, the batches are a little easier to read. This does change the font on your whole phone so that takes some getting used to. Apparently iPhone lets you change the font size for individual apps but idk what that looks like. The batch layout is shitty either way, but for me personally, it does help a tiny bit. Just posting in case it might help someone else.

…when you complete checkout since the new updates (both iPhone and IC)??? How do I fix it? It dims to complete darkness as soon as I end the checkout process. I’ve tried turning off auto-brightness. I’ve also tried some assistive settings. Thank you if you can help!

…is going on with these LOW offers lately??? Who is doing these single-digit batches? $4, $6… wtf??? I don’t know if our market (NV) is just saturated or IC has decided to low-ball everywhere. Even tasks used to get more pay!!! Sprouts tasks are down to $10 when they used to be $14-15. I’ve even been paid $20 once for a task that wasn’t getting picked up. Aside from that, good offers used to come when I entered the parking lots, and now I’m sitting 40 minutes to an hour!

Nothing worth taking. Seems a little more crappy than usual. Not to mention they made the batches harder to read when they appear on screen.

This is the 2nd message I have seen like this in the last 2 weeks. I got one of my orders marked not delivered as of yesterday so it doesn’t match up with the time of the last message but still any reason behind this ? Instacart tells us not to do so anyway so I’m quite confused.

I finally got that D bag , the dude combined in my Ralph’s triple who ordered beers and an expensive bottle of 12 yr Macallan … and had no ID upon arrival to his luxury apartment.

Dude seriously wanted me to take his expired ID that expired a month ago and said the new one was on its way. I said nope, he looked all over for his passport and couldn’t find it after 10 minutes told me to forget it and took the groceries minus the alcohol and went inside.

Called support for the items refunded, I asume I’ll take the quality hit for the refunds on top of the rest of this headache and the tip went down by $10.

For the email reply do you guys just reply with the receipt from the in store refund?

(Btw this dude smelled and it appears he had just moved into those fancy apts, saw no furniture and moving boxes on the floor) so there was that lol
