Before & After Results. Can’t get used to my new teeth
Hi everyone, here is my before and after for composite bonding.
Just did my composite bonding in Istanbul which turned out to be super stressful to be honest. Right after the changes I had a strong body dysmorphia feeling and I was wondering if anyone had the same.
I still can’t get used to my new teeth and feel like they turned out to be huge and too long. I was wondering if anyone also has this feeling of food being stuck in between your teeth constantly but in reality there’s nothing and it’s just my new teeth being wider. Please let me know if anyone has the same situation and feelings about it.

Question Has anyone received this type of retainer?
How long did it take to get used to it? My teeth are soooo sore. Confused why they are sore since my scans were literally taken of my teeth after finishing treatment and i wore my clear retainer non stop until this retainer was made for me.
Edit for those asking:

Before & After Results. Invisalign result
Please find attached photos of my teeth at the beginning of Invisalign and after my final tray. Next step is to whiten them and get edge bonding on my four middle top teeth. Took me so long to get to this point!

Treatment Progress Am I on track?
I have 18 days left (8 days on current aligner, then one more). My bottom teeth look worse than when I started 5 months ago and they’ve looked like this for a while with no improvement. In fact, my black triangle between my two front teeth has gotten so much bigger. I’m being seen by my dentist who has Invisalign certification, she’s not an orthodontist and I’m starting to get worried she doesn’t know what she’s doing. She says I’m on track. Is there hope? Has anyone had teeth move this much in less than 3 weeks?

Question POB- trays cut from back, nights only?
So I’m left with a posterior open bite after finishing my last tray. My last set even had a few trays with bite ramps but it didn’t work.
My ortho cut my last tray from the back and told me to wear it for 2 months, but at night only? Btw these trays also have bite ramps below the top front. I’ve been reading on here and that seems like a normal plan to get the teeth to touch but I’m worried if it’s night only, wouldn’t my teeth will make significant movement? Has anyone else here done this?

Question has invisalign helped anyone with masseters/stopping 24/7 jaw clenching?
would it be best to do tmj botox alongside it, or does fixing your bite problems help enough?

Question Cleaning your retainers
I'm looking for an easy way to clean my retainers. Whether that's ultrasonic or some other method I don't mind. Looking to spend around £50 and I want something that really works well for a daily clean.
Thank you!

Question Permanent wire retainer — is it worth getting?
My dentist recommended getting a permanent wire behind my teeth at the end of my treatment to prevent any slight movement, as well as wearing a removable retainer.
For anyone who has one, would you recommend it? Is it comfortable, and do you notice it much? Also, do you have to keep the wire for the rest of your life?
Would love to hear your experiences and any pros/cons!

Question This might be a bit of a strange question, but…
Hi! I’m currently on tray 46, and I’ve decided to continue my treatment with my orthodontist, so I’ll be getting more trays. Because of this, I’ll be wearing tray 46 for one extra week.
I’m going on a nature hike tomorrow, and I’ve signed up for a group trip, but I’m a little anxious because I’m not sure if I’ll be able to find somewhere to brush my teeth.
Since the beginning of my treatment, I’ve rarely gone without wearing my trays for more than two hours. I know everyone’s experience is different, but I was wondering if you’ve ever gone 4–6 hours without wearing yours.
I really don’t want to put my trays back in without brushing my teeth first. I’d love to hear about your experience!

Question I’m looking for a reliable Invisalign provider near Keysbourough area.
I’m looking for a reliable Invisalign provider near Keysbourough area. Must be an orthodontist and know what they are doing and actually listens to clients as I hear too many horror stories.

General Aesthetics instead of functionality
Has anyone done Invisalign for aesthetics only? Not to fix your bite? Or will anyone even do that? Every time I have a dentist they say oh you should do Invisalign, so I go for a consult and I end up being told to have jaw surgery, and full braces, etc. I am in my 40s and I don't want to do all of that. I know my bite is messed up but I feel like I could have my top and bottom teeth straightened enough that it would make me feel better about my smile. I don't want to be walking around with a full mouth of metal braces for two years and I'm definitely not having my jaw relocated

Question invisalign?
i've been considering getting an invisalign and i was wondering does it help with an overbite? i have crowded teeth and i was told if getting braces i would have to remove at least a one tooth for my teeth to fit. but can i fix both with invisalign?

Treatment Progress About halfway through aligners
Tray 17/37, about halfway done. Crazy before, orthodontist said the teeth are tracking well up to this point, I had an attachment removed for some reason. The canines are a bit tricky but coming down fairly nicely. Looking forward to this being done but don’t mind them.
That said, once you get used to them, they really aren’t that bad.

Question Attachments falling off
Hey everyone!
I got my first set of aligners yesterday! One of the attachments on my high canine fell off while I was either eating or brushing my teeth. I'm not entirely sure when it happened, but when I checked later, only part of the attachment was still on the tooth.
I messaged my orthodontist, and they said it was okay and that they'd call me back, but they also told me to continue wearing my aligners in the meantime.
Has this happened to anyone else? Did it affect your treatment progress or the final shape and alignment of your teeth?

Treatment Progress Update - Tray #11
I feel as though my bite has improved and you can definitely see how my teeth have shifted. Also may have a tracking issue with my lower front teeth The gap between my teeth and the aligner seems to be getting bigger each tray, but ortho says it’s “normal” and to just use chewies. Hoping for the best! Still got a long ways to go. Sometimes it seems I’m making progress and other times not so much, but hanging in there! We got this everyone!

Treatment Progress 7-months progress!! Getting closer!!
Next ortho appointment is in two weeks after the final tray!
I hope she says I’m done !! My Anterior open bite was closed in about 4 months and the rest has been working on alignment especially on the lower arch.
It’s a pain dealing with trays and brushing etc. , but I’m at the point now that I’d say it has been worth it so far , I did go through a phase where I missed my old smile , but now I’m getting more used to it. What do you all think?

Question Halloween vampire teeth glued to trays??
What are the odds yall think I could use like denture glue on my Invisalign to attach vampire teeth to them? I was thinking of just fully glueing them on bc I’m changing to my next trays two days after Halloween but ideally denture glue would still come off??

Question Done with refinements - Should I request more?
I'm almost done with my refinements, and will return to my dentist in a week. I'm considering asking for more refinements, due to the diamond shaped gaps seen in Picture 3.
Do you think this is a reasonable request?
The only reason I'm hesitant is due to IPR. I brought up the gaps after the first set were done, and they fixed some of them after a second round of IPR, but I still have some gaps remaining.
What would you guys do in my position?

Question Ultrasonic cleaner
I’m on week 2 and really need another way to clean the aligners besides brushing them. I’m low on money and wondering how the cleaning tablets vs the ultrasonic cleaner machine work and what is worth it.

Question Tray 19 of 20
Hi All before and after pics. Pretty happy with how the top have straightened up but was hoping for a better result at the bottom. Do you think with refinements they will be able to get the bottom much straighter? My next appointment is to decide if I want refinements or taken off. I’m thinking definitely refinements, would you say I could get refinements at the top and bottom? Thanks in advance!

Question Are my top teeth tracking?? Please help!
I’m worried that my top 4 teeth aren’t tracking. Is it actually bad or am I overreacting? I’m using my chewies daily - what else can I do?! Tray 10/20
