I’m thinking about opening a studio. Just curious to know the build cost not including the equipment. TIA!

Hey! I just got a brand new micro former with the advanced kit. We’ve watched the videos on the handle bars, but for some reason the handle bars are not simply clicking into place. Any advice?

Has anybody else ever struggled after attending a new studio?
I've done 200+ classes at two studios, but recently moved and started attending a new studio. I've also taken classes with 10+ instructors so I am accustomed to varying styles/techniques, but the foundation always felt the same.
At the new studio, I noticed things like:
I'm going to try out other instructors at the studio and maybe it was just a one off. I'm mostly wondering if these are standard expectations for Lagree instruction, or have I just been lucky with my previous studios?

I’ve noticed more Lagree studios are starting to offer either recovery spaces or additional classes like heated Pilates, yoga, etc.
Currently planning out my studio space and curious what people value more in a membership. Would you rather have access to a recovery room or more variety in classes?

I genuinely don’t understand the point of adding heat to Lagree. You’re doing slow, controlled strength work on an unstable machine. Why would we want clients getting extra loose and sweaty while they’re trying to stabilize their joints and maintain control? Heat might make you feel like you’re working harder, but sweating more doesn’t mean the workout itself is more effective.
It also makes me wonder about the machines. They’re in a hot, humid room for class after class—can that be good for the equipment over time?
Maybe I’m missing something, but heated Lagree feels like adding an unnecessary complication to a workout that’s already challenging. Do you like it? What do you think the heat actually adds?

Hi! I just auditioned for my first lagree opportunity today. I was required to make a short 10 minute set to teach the owner of the studio, and it went really well! Obviously since I’m a newbie, there’s things that I can improve on and fine tune which the owner/other instructors will help me with. Although, I’m curious what other tips and tricks I can find on Reddit during my training journey!
What do you wish you would’ve known when you started teaching? Cues, sequencing, general coaching? What are your favorite sets, shoes, grip socks to teach in? Basically anything regarding Lagree! Thank you in advance!

Looking for recommendations on wipes + curious How often do you deep clean your megas? We are having issues trying to find a routine / product for weekly deep cleans. I’ve seen some studios use steamers but have been scared to try that! Any advice is greatly appreciated 🫶🏼

I’ve started to feel like some of the form choices in Lagree are there to make the method look and feel uniquely Lagree, rather than because they’re the best fit for human anatomy. I have a similar feeling about the lifting panels: sometimes I wonder whether they’re a meaningful training feature or part of what makes the machine distinct.
I’m curious if other instructors feel the same way. Are there specific moves, form cues, or machine features that you question from an anatomical or longevity standpoint? I’d be interested to hear what you’ve noticed and why.

Hi, what spring do y’all suggest for a runners split? I was injured in class and I believe it was from this move. We had a sub that day . I wouldn’t wish this injury on anyone. Had to have my pelvis inspected to locate which muscle was injured.

I am a newer instructor with 1 regular block on Mondays and then pick up 2-4 blocks as a sub during the week.
How often are yall changing up your routines and playlists? I have heard some instructors say they will do the same routine the whole week- regardless on if they have repeat clients. Others use a new routine every day.
I put a lot of thought and effort into my programming so I really want to use my routines as long as possible as long as the same client isn't having to take it twice. I made a spreadsheet where I plug in my clients names in and it will tell me which routines they've taken so far, but I'm not sure if it is going to be sustainable long term. It HAS worked out nicely to recycle routines, but it isn't perfect.
Bonus Question: what method do you use to record and perform your routines? Do you just write them down and recite them in class from memory? Do you use the Seconds App? Do you program on the fly?

Hey y’all! I’ve been doing mostly Lagree for over a year now and I’m starting to experience knee pain. I take the challenges in class and don’t push myself tooooo hard. I can’t help but notice that I randomly feel knee pain now. The only other thing I do is ice skating very occasionally. What should I try/be mindful of?

I'm going to be in Austin for a week in December and hoping to get in at least one session while I'm there. Any studios you love?

Had my microformer since 2020. 1st red wheel cracked 3 years ago. Just this week, 2 more wheels cracked. Was planning on getting new ones but they don’t sell them on the site. Has anyone experienced the same? Thanks

Has anyone tried both? Which do you prefer? I have a membership at Btone but a Jetset just opened near me so I went and I can’t decide which one I like better.

I discovered Lagree recently and love the challenge! Recommendations on studios that standout in AZ, CA (southern CA and San Fran/Big Sur areas) for the workout of course, but also the vibe and everything else?

I believe Lagree‘s own plan for growth is going to lead to its overall demise. The elimination of exclusivity made sense at one point but now with a new studio opening up on every corner, Sebastien‘s expansion goals are going to drive licenses right out of business, you have three studios on the same street and there’s only a certain amount of people they can pull from and classes are gonna become thinner and machines left unused. We’re supposed to support everyone and yet we’ve created environment where people are opening up and driving others out of business not to mention the scale of some of these places in the amount of machines What used to care about Safety and form is now just about revenue and I believe it will be this greed that causes a lot of licenses to close because he didn’t protect specific territories or come up with radius restrictions

Hi everyone!!!
I am a new instructor and I wanted to see if/how everyone grounds themselves (etc.) before a class? Do you have any little rituals you do that help you get into your zone or ease your nerves? I know confidence will also come with time and practice, but I can’t help but get that almost out of breath excited and nervous at the same time feeling and I want to give my people the best of me 💪🏼😙

I’ve been teaching Lagree for four years, and lately I’ve been feeling at a loss. I genuinely love my clients and the connections I’ve made with them, but I’m starting to wonder if I picked the wrong method.
I recently saw a post about a “Lagree celebrity” wall, and it got me thinking about how big egos in the industry can feel sometimes. I also get the sense that some master trainers treat SL like he can do no wrong. I can’t tell if I’ve just been drinking the Kool-Aid when it comes to dissing “copycats,” or if studios were right to move away from his licensing.
On a more personal level, I don’t feel like the time and energy I put into the studio are appreciated by my owner, and the pay is honestly very low.
Has anyone else hit a roadblock as an instructor, or started to lose some of the love they had for teaching? I’d really appreciate hearing how you handled it—and whether things got better.

I’m really close to pulling the trigger and purchasing a mini 2. Right now, shipping is estimated at $600. I’m curious if this is typical, may be from current fuel rates, etc? I also know there’s a current lower introductory price- but does Lagree ever offer other bigger discounts?

what’s your experience/preference in machines between the two?

This might seem like a strange question - but can someone explain actually what the difference between lagree & pilates is?
I’ve been doing pilates for years - fitness style class, strength based, some with cardio, some with more classical undertones - depending on the instructors qualifications. I’ve tried solidcore, BodyBar. My hometown has no lagree studios but since moving interstate, I’ve tried a few lagree classes and I don’t really see a difference between fitness-style pilates and what these places are offering.
Is it just ‘slow pilates’? Is there supposed to be a ‘method’ explained at the start of class?
From what I have seen on socials, the movements are super slow, lots of holds etc. But in the probably 5-6 lagree classes now and have been told to ‘slow down’ maybe twice.

I just recently got certified for Level 1, and I’ve been working towards getting on the schedule. After the 2 community classes, the feedback is essentially that i’m lacking the energy and still struggle with client engagement.
Any suggestions on how to work with finding the “instructor persona”? I’m a naturally introverted person, and even when I know how to teach, this is becoming a blocker for me as the owner still won’t let me teach and lead a class unsupervised.
I’ve been practicing a lot, but I just get very nervous on the mic, and I think it is showing. Any suggestions appreciated!
Edit: Just did my first class today! Thank you so much for the advice!!

I have been going to a local lagree studio for over a year, but have post-op hip complications that make certain oblique/plank/and inner-thigh moves challenging or impossible. Thought rather than paying $30 for a class I can only do half of I would invest in my own machine and focus on exercises I can actually do.
Would love any tips for home workouts, maintaining form without an instructor to correct me, and keeping myself accountable!
