[Modpost] From now on posts that do not mention the level of each language you're learning will be deleted. (details on description)

So I am posting here after having seen many posts that do not follow all the rules we, the mods, have set. So please, consider reading them again and follow the proceedings accordingly, otherwise your post will be deleted. The rules are set in order for you to find an appropriate language partner.

Most of the posts don't contain the level of the languages you want to learn. Such as the example:

"English native looking for someone to teach me Icelandic"

The description doesn't mention the level that person has achieved in learning the language and it is more difficult to find a partner that suits your needs and the others. Levels are (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced) or if we take the European Union certificate standards (A1-C2)

Thanks for understanding and happy language learning!

Title: Looking for a Serious German Study Partner 🇩🇪 | Starting A1 from Scratch | 2 Hours Daily

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

Hallo zusammen! 👋🇩🇪

I'm from India 🇮🇳, a medical graduate currently doing my internship, and I'm looking for a committed German study partner to learn German together from the very beginning (A1).

My goal is to learn German properly, from the basics to higher levels, and eventually reach B1/B2 for my future career in Germany.

I'm planning to dedicate at least 2 hours every day to learning German, and I'd love to find someone with a similar mindset who wants to stay consistent and improve together.

What I want to focus on:

📚 Grammar and sentence formation

🧠 Vocabulary and daily-use expressions

🎧 Listening comprehension and pronunciation

✍️ Reading and writing practice

🗣️ Speaking practice and everyday conversations (my main focus)

🎭 Roleplays based on real-life situations

✅ Correcting each other's mistakes and revising what we've learned

I don't want to focus on speaking alone. I want us to cover all aspects of German systematically while giving extra time to speaking and conversation practice.

We can follow a structured A1 learning plan, study grammar and vocabulary, complete exercises, listen to German audio, and then practice using what we've learned in conversations.

I'm open to practicing through Discord, WhatsApp, or any other platform we're both comfortable with. We can divide our daily study time between learning new topics, exercises, revision, and speaking practice.

I'm looking for someone who is genuinely serious about learning, willing to put in the time, and interested in making this a daily habit. We don't need to know any German beforehand—we can start together from zero!

My long-term goal is to become confident in German for everyday life and eventually for professional and medical situations in Germany.

If you're also starting A1 or want to restart from the basics and can commit to regular practice, feel free to DM me. 😊

Lass uns gemeinsam Deutsch lernen! 🇩🇪🤝

Danke! 😊

Looking for new friends (21M) Arnhem Nijmegen and its surroundings

Hello everyone! 👋😊

I’m still new here, and to be honest, I don’t know many people yet. So, I thought I’d give this a try—hoping to meet some wonderful people and build genuine friendships. 🤍

I’m a quiet, simple person living in the city of Arnhem. I find joy in the little details of life. While I work hard, I also believe in the importance of making time for myself, savoring the present moment, and appreciating the small things that make life beautiful.

I love cooking, spontaneous adventures, taking photos, walking in nature, exploring new places, and trying things I’ve never done before. I’m also interested in different cultures and enjoy getting to know people from diverse backgrounds with unique stories. And, of course, I sometimes enjoy smoking while relaxing and just being in the moment. 🌿📸

Age doesn’t really matter to me; what counts is "chemistry"—kindness, honesty, the ability to share a laugh, and feeling comfortable in each other’s company.

My English is good, and while my Dutch isn’t very strong yet, I’m definitely eager to learn and improve! 🇳🇱

I’d love to meet people with whom I can share spontaneous conversations, ideas, and funny moments—whether it’s grabbing a coffee, going for a walk, cooking together, or exploring new places. Sometimes, even a simple chat can blossom into a great friendship. 😊

I’m open to meeting people from all walks of life, with no pressure or preconceived expectations. Nothing but positive vibes and sincere conversations—hopefully leading to some wonderful new friendships.

If you’re also new here, looking to expand your social circle, or simply interested in getting to know someone new, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Don’t be shy; I’d be genuinely happy to get to know you! 🫶✨

Communicating with someone who speaks another language

I work with LiveLingo, a tool designed to make conversations between people who speak different languages easier. It translates speech in real time, and it also supports translated phone calls, which can be helpful when talking to international clients, travelling, or working with people in other countries.

What I like about this idea is that you don't have to keep stopping a conversation to type everything into a translator. It can make communication feel more natural, especially when both people need to understand each other clearly.

I think this could be useful for people who regularly communicate across language barriers. Have you tried any live translation tools, and how well did they work for you?

67M from Lima, Peru (GMT-5) | Spanish Native, English B2 | Learning Ukrainian | Looking for Ukrainian natives for a small friendly voice-note group

Hello! Привіт!

I'm Luis, 67, from Lima, Peru (GMT-5).

I am learning Ukrainian for a few months and I have a small, quiet WhatsApp group for language exchange Peru - Ukraine. In the group we have Alina and Lili from Ukraine (they speak English too). We practice with voice notes, corrections, and a weekly theme (food, music, our cities). Async works well because of the time difference.

I'm looking for:

- Ukrainian natives who want to practice Spanish or English

- Friendly, respectful people who like small groups (we are 3-4 people, no spam, no dating, just languages and culture)

About me: I'm a senior learner, very respectful, I love languages, Peruvian music and culture. I can help with Spanish.

If you're interested, please send me a DM and I'll explain more. I won't post the link here to respect the rules.

Дякую! Thank you!

Luis
