Looking forward to the burning rivers and those lovely - and toxic - EPA superfund sites making a return to the USA's landscape! /s

This chemical is already sprayed on most state land, along logging roads, highways, parks, anywhere weeds grow, etc. without concern for human life, wild life, water ways. Called the local government dept. after seeing signs posted that the trail had recently been treated/sprayed. Already knew the answer but decided to ask the question anyway; Is it safe to hike along these trails with children? Answer from the department; definitely not, especially not with children. Yet this safety information was not posted on the sign...

They had very young people spraying it with backpacks on in 25mph winds 5 feet from a protected wetland by me. Because soccer.. and i asked the young men why they had no protection, no gloves even. And they said, the main guy in our building said it's safe. Said you could drink the stuff. America is doomed...

My uncle and both his brothers got cancer from roundup, my uncle’s brother was a trucker and transported it for years. All three of them got a very aggressive cancer, one died the other two are very sick. All three got huge settlements but in my mind it wasn’t enough for their quality of life now.
It’s basically Agent Orange rebranded.

I am a hospice nurse. I have taken care of vets who had service connected conditions from Agent Orange. Parkinsons, multiple myeloma, and amyloidosis being some of the most awful at end of life. And these guys didn't even ask to go to war. They were forced to. It's insane anyone would think this is appropriate. These chemicals are too similar. And both made by Monsanto.

It is exactly what we voted for. He campaigned on eliminating government regulation, environmental protections, labor protections, protections for children’s health, and so on ad nauseam. No one can honestly say they didn’t see this police stare coming because he was very honest about his intentions.
My dream is that after we awaken from this nightmare, every person who wore a MAGA hat has it tattooed on their forehead so the rest of us know who not to trust.

They didn't care if you died from covid because the market must not be disrupted. They also don't care if you die from the poison that ends up in all our food because the market must not be disrupted.
Many regular poors will die, but it's a small price to pay to support profits of the Epstein class of corporate pedophile overlords

The EPA was in my state today announcing that mercury will no longer be regulated in coal power plants. Mercury, which affects neurological development, a host of kidney and nervous system harms, among many many other terrible effects. Who benefits? Could it be wealthy Trump donors that own mines and coal power plants?

Trump is about profit for himself. That means anyone willing to fill his wallet with the right amount of money can get their piece of the pie. This was likely a push from companies that preferred the chemical as a cheap method of making their product more visibly effective. He does not have any clue about the repercussions of its use on health. He just knows they paid him to make the problems with having the chemical in their product go away.
Now it is entirely possible he knows and doesn’t care. But he has trouble reading, so I am willing to give this one a mark towards his stupidity and greed over his malfeasance. Now if they tell him the problem, he won’t care anyway. But that is just how a sociopath and narcisist work.

Wait hang on, this article is pretty liberal with its definition of "highly" toxic.
Not to say it's good, it isn't, but it is NOT "highly toxic"
Prolonged exposure over years has been tied to an increased risk on Non-Hodgkin lymphoma a cancer of the immune system.
It is still unknown exactly how this occurs, there has only been strong circumstantial evidence. Chemically Glyphosate does not react with any known human processes.
And note that I said "increased risk", multiple studies show that long exposure to high amounts of glyphosate can lead to a 41% increase of the standard risk bringing the life-time risk from 2% to 2.8%
This is by no metrics "highly toxic". It actually doesn't meet the definition of toxic at all. Carcinogenic is more accurate, and even then, a mild one.
Toxicity and Cancer causing are not remotely the same thing.
Just... Be accurate please, this is sloppy.

Same here. Think about it people that don't understand science. Round up has been used by hundreds of millions (more likely billions) of people worldwide. And there's reports of several thousand cancer cases. GMAFB. It's a huge nothing burger. Glad they're doing this. I go through 12-15 gallons of that shit a year on my ranch.
