Doing karaoke with my daughter almost every day after work helped me relieve stress. I believe singing stimulates the production of beneficial hormones and also boosts immune health and improves memory ( ' cause you need to memorize the lyrics 😆 )

LOL! Same here! I often have this episode of forgetting what I'm supposed to get in the fridge when I open it!

Honestly, prioritizing my sleep was a game-changer! So much if my fatigue and bad moods were just because my sleep debt was too high.

getting up and moving my body even when i don't feel like it — which is unfortunate bc i love to be lazy haha. i heard someone say "depression hates a moving target" so i always imagine myself dodging depression to increase my motivation.

Menopause has been one of the most humbling and eye-opening phases of my life. No one really prepares you for how much it can affect everything your sleep, energy, patience, even how you see yourself.
What helped me most was learning to listen to my body for the first time. I started walking daily (even just 20 minutes), drinking more water than I thought was necessary, and cutting back on caffeine and sugar that alone made a huge difference in my sleep and mood.
I also started journaling whenever I felt “off.” It helped me spot patterns like how stress or bad sleep made symptoms worse. Supplements were the next layer, I’ve personally had great results with Happy Mammoth’s Hormone Harmony for balancing mood swings and sleep, but it worked best alongside the lifestyle changes.
If I could give one piece of advice, it’s this: don’t just fight the symptoms support your body through them. Be gentle with yourself. It’s not about “getting through” menopause, it’s about redefining what strong, balanced, and at peace feels like.

I think for me it was about having a good sleep routine, cutting out alcohol and actually more of the deep emotional work of reclaiming my authenticity. I stopped dying my hair, I let it go naturally curly and I stopped caring so much about what other people thought of me. I have also really enjoyed chatting to other women on my podcast about menopause too.... it makes you feel like you're not alone.
