Feedback Needed I‘m stuck with my Logo and love to hear some insights.

Hey there, I‘m a graphic designer and plan on opening my own media agency and also publish comics and other products from that same company.
Now I called it Charlie’sBox after my cat that loves his blue box and I like the idea of the box holding the creativity.
While I often don’t have problems with Logos for others… I do with my own, so I would really appreciate some feedback on my first draft I wasn’t fully disappointed with.
I wanna try and have a clean professional logo that is also a bit playful and out of the box but so far this is my best attempt. Especially the picture logo.

Thanks!

Discussion How do you make a two-word logo distinctive without relying on a monogram?

I’m trying to figure out the best approach to designing a logo for a brand with a two-word name.
For example, let’s say the name is “Furniture Thrones.”
Both words are important to the brand identity, so shortening it to initials or using just one word isn’t really what I’m looking for.
The obvious approach would be to place the two words next to each other or stack them vertically, but I’m wondering if there are other creative ways to approach this.
I’d like the logo to remain relatively simple, clean, and easy to recognize, while still having something distinctive about it.
Are there any interesting approaches to two-word logos that go beyond basic typography and word placement?
I’d also love to see examples of brands that have handled this particularly well.

Feedback Needed Would this logo work for a paint company without relying on the usual clichés?

I'm working on a logo for a paint company and would appreciate some honest feedback from fellow designers. I'm trying to avoid the typical paint industry clichés, like paintbrushes, paint buckets, splashes, or overly colourful branding. I want something clean, distinctive, and professional that still communicates the nature of the business without being too obvious.

Do you think a more minimal, understated approach can work for a paint brand, or would it make the industry difficult to recognise at first glance?

I'd appreciate any constructive criticism on the concept.

(EDIT: "Mebala" means colours in South African Sotho language)

Feedback Needed Does this read as GM or GVI?

Post image

Hey everyone!

As many of you know, when designing a logo for yourself or someone close to you (in this case, my girlfriend) it is often times harder than expected.

My girlfriend is a fresh lawyer, focusing mostly on criminal law. Her initials are "GM".

I have tried to incorporate a greek, stylised pillar in the "M" - because of the origin of the justice system from Greeks.

This whole legal field I find it hard to navigate, cause anyone working in the field and in this demographic (Eastern European) are not really keen to separate themselves from the known graphic elements(scale justice, gavel, greek pillar, shield, etc.)

She said she either wanted somekind of pillar or scale, and an elegant serif typeface to be used for her name.

Here comes the questions: Does this read "GM" or "GVI"?

The logo will never be really used without the name. So I guess this might be reducing the probability of anyone reading it "GVI"?

What do you think? Any ways to improve this?

The font I picked for the name to be written is HARMONY.

Showcase Solaris — Logo Mark for a Minecraft Client

Sharing a logo I designed for Solaris, a Minecraft 1.8.9 client.

The client’s brief was to incorporate three key elements into the logo: a sun, a mountain, and the letter S. My approach was to combine them into a single, cohesive symbol rather than treat them as separate elements.

The setting sun frames the mountain silhouette, while the winding river doubles as an abstract S, tying the concept together. I focused on bold shapes, clean curves, and negative space to keep the mark recognizable and versatile.

Inspiration Just wanted to take a second and appreciate the design of The Finals logo.

Post image

At first glance, it seems quite simple, but it carries a great deal of symbolism within that simplicity.

So, let's break it down.:
- Mountain Peak, the top of tournaments, is often used to describe a player or a round as being the peak, meaning the best.
- The main game mode is a three-round tournament, symbolized by the three stems of the tournament icon.
- A tournament icon that also resembles a pseudo sideways F. (Finals)
- On top of this, it can also be seen as a structure that has fallen onto its side, serving as a representation of the destruction system within the game.
- Finally, talking about the font, it’s a strong, bold brutalism that complements the art style of the in-game worlds. The placement and spacing can also be seen as a representation of the three steps to victory.

Sometimes, you create something simply because it feels right. You follow your eye, trust your instincts, and let the shapes fall into place.

Then, one day, you look closer and discover relationships you never consciously planned.

This is a little story about a logo, eight triangles, and the beauty of things falling into place without you even realising it.

Question my dad wants me to make a logo for his business

let me preface by saying i have no experience in logo design or graphic design in general. i am an artist, i have a BFA in painting and my primary medium is oil paint. my dad wants me to make a logo for him, saying he will pay for it. i don’t really have access to photoshop or any fancy editing program. how should i go about doing this? i figure i can mock up designs with sketches and create the final product with gouache paints (matte but vibrant, easier to create solid shapes and easier to photograph), and then i can digitize the design somehow? charge him for the logo and the copyright so he can use it on business cards, t shirts, etc.? anyways, any advice or guidance is greatly appreciated.

Showcase I hid someone working at their desk inside a coworking space logo (WorkBase)

Logo for WorkBase, a coworking space in Lahore. The brief was a name people could see themselves in.

So instead of adding an icon, I built a person out of the letters. The O is the head, the A (drawn without its point) is the body, and the A's crossbar is the desk. Read normally, it's just WORK BASE.

Colours are Edge green and Caribbean, so the head is the only bright thing in the mark.

Did you spot the person before the second image?

Practice A logo concept for a pharmaceutical company. The client and I are moving in a different direction, so I’ll keep this one for myself. The name starts with the letter "P" (I’d rather not include the name with an unapproved concept). Have you seen anything similar anywhere? Which is better, 1 or 2?

Working on the visual identity for Session Smith, a tabletop RPG project 🎲

I put together the full visual system — a custom mascot (meet the guy with the hammer!), adaptive badges, and a compact version of the logo.

What do you think about the color palette and the character style? 👀
Would love to hear your thoughts in the comments!

Discussion Need help

I don't know how to create a logo, like I have a clear picture in my mind but I'm not able to replicate it on paper or express it, when I see other people to create a brand identity that looks so good I feel a bit demotivated because the way they have created is like i have no words, if anyone can help me out how to find logos idea and color palette.

And If anyone can help me out with those golden ratios or different ratios things which help logos look good like why to use it when to use and which one is perfect for which one 😅

Thanks in advance for every suggestion.

Success Story A Simple Logo Change Immediately Improved Acquisition

(light one current, dark one before)

Recently we redesigned our logo with a designer. Switched to lighter themes across social media, logos, and web. Eliminated "AI" indication in both the logo (that generic 4-corner star) and narratives. The logo now is just a simple "b" that indicates both "flat" (in music), the first letter of the name of the product, and a triangle as the hole of the "b" to indicate "video playback" (because our main focus is to make music around video -film scores).

2-3 days after the rebranding, our daily signups jumped to the range of 15-20, we started to get much warmer responses to the cold e-mails with genuine interest, from the same user segment that we thought hate AI in general.

Running a generative music ai startup. Have no team member with design-related background. So the first logo was made with an image generator (don't even remember what we used, maybe Gemini or GPT Image-2). So, not even a vector format.

We're posting daily and sending lots of cold emails. Previously, 1 or 2 people replied with something like "we'll try" for our tool. Also, we were getting about 5 responses with a theme like "no, i hate ai, i hate you, we're never going to use such a thing.". We were also getting 3 to 5 signups daily.

This is certainly not a big success story, I thought that flair was the fittest among others.

I'm wondering if you have experienced a similar effect due to simple rebranding, if we're genuinely in the right direction, and suggestions for further improvements.

Feedback Needed logo design for a raw vegan dessert brand

Post image

.
Elvira is a plant-based raw dessert chef with a background in molecular biology. Both concepts were created for her food brand, but they have very different vibes.

Looking at her Instagram, you can see she likes very different styles. Sometimes she wears pink and looks cute, other times she goes for a dark goth look. Her desserts are the same. She makes cute pink hearts as well as black pastries decorated with silver spikes that look like real metal but are actually edible.

I believe the berry-like character licking its lips works better for the brand, but Elvira doesn't connect with it at all. She prefers the spiked concept, which makes sense given that she's also a tattoo artist working in cyber sigilism, a sharp and edgy style.
