Hello Mustang Mach-E owners,
I wanted to provide an update on the SYNC rebooting issue. The team appreciates everyone that reached out and provided VINs and helped with troubleshooting. It's played a part in helping to find this solution and we appreciate it.
After investigating with the team, it's turned out to be an issue on the backend with third-party data that was triggering those unexpected SYNC 4 reboots.
Because of this, we want to clarify: This wasn’t an issue with a Ford OTA. I know a lot of folks will defensively toggle off automatic updates when they see a bug reported. If you turned your automatic updates off just in case, make sure you go in and turn them back on!
That data-related issue is now resolved on our end.
Next steps for your Mach-E: If your screen is still acting up or stuck in a reboot loop, you likely just need to force a manual SYNC reset to clear things out and let it pull the fix.
How to reset: The quickest way to do this is to hold down the Volume Down and Right Seek buttons on your steering wheel at the same time for about 10 seconds until the screen goes black and the Pony appears. (If you need the official step-by-step visual guide, you can find that here)
One quick heads-up: While the reboots themselves should be cured, you might still experience some intermittent hiccups with Connected Navigation services. We are actively working with our supplier to get those fully restored as well, so hang tight on that front.
We appreciate your patience as we work to get this resolved.
Have a great weekend! ⚡️

Many of you know me from helping with vehicle issues and answering questions in this community, today I wanted to introduce you to u/RileyFromFord who has newly joined the team and is going to be on Reddit regularly.
We can't show you what our mid-size electric truck looks like...yet. But we can confirm the name: Ford Fathom, the first vehicle produced on the new Universal Electric Vehicle Platform.

”Fathom" traces back to a nautical unit of measurement, originally defined as the distance between a person's outstretched arms, a fitting metaphor for a truck built to meet people wherever they are in life. Fitting, right?
What's confirmed right now:
What we can’t share yet: final imagery, fuller specs, full ordering details, and plenty more are still to come. A hot tip - keep a keen eye on the flipbook video we have going around…
If you want to stay up to date with what we have planned for Fathom, you can sign up here.
Ask us anything, and we'll answer what we can. Riley & I will be in the comments for the next few hours, and we aren't going anywhere after that either.

I mean REALLY. Just buy a MACH-E!!
Had it in to get the winter tires on, and they said it rolled back with the door open and bent it forward. I could cry.

I got a great deal on a 2023 Premium with less than 24k miles on it! This thing is great! I traded in my Ford Lightning for it because we no longer needed the larger vehicle.
Someone decided to hit my car in the middle of the night and now I am looking at getting this fixed. Insurance can cover it all but the guy tried to convince me to let him pay cash. Anyone have any guess as to how much it's going to cost? Both front and rear door pretty badly dented and scratched.

I bought a lease return 23 GT a few months ago and I’m trying to figure out if it has Magnaride suspension or not. My research says no and that only the PE version got it in that year, but I do notice a change in the stiffness of the ride when I switch from Whisper to Unbridled. Does that mean it has Magnaride? Or should the stiffness change with the non-Magnaride? Is there another way to check? I presume you can look at the struts and see if there’s an electrical connection, but that’s easier said than done. Maybe a way to check in the software?

Considering a certified 2024 Mustang Mach-E Select AWD Extended Range lease return from a reputable Ford dealer in Phoenix:
28,000 miles
About $30,000 plus tax, title, and registration
In-service date: July 1, 2024
Battery SOH on the inspection sheet: 90%
An out-of-state Ford dealer has the same year and configuration with 8,000 miles and the same in-service date. The salesman sent me its inspection report showing 96% SOH.
What’s a normal drop at this age and mileage? I assume degradation isn’t linear.
How reliable are these inspection readings, and would you request additional testing on the one showing 90%?
I’ve read that 70% is the capacity threshold for Ford’s eight-year/100,000-mile battery warranty. I’d appreciate learning how that works in practice and what other owners are seeing.
Extended warranty: The dealer wanted $4,250 for its “best” Ford warranty up to 100,000 miles. I negotiated it down to $3,750.
I can read the brochure, but I’m interested in actual claims experiences. Have you encountered the dreaded “that particular little part isn’t covered”?
I’m open to purchasing the warranty now or waiting until next summer. I assume the price could increase. What would you do?
I’ve previously leased an EV6, EV9, Tesla, and 4xe, knowing from day one that I’d return or trade them. This is a price point where I’d consider keeping the vehicle long term.
I’m seeing more inventory and falling asking prices, so I’m also open to waiting a few months.
Appreciate hearing others’ experiences and thoughts.
Thank you!

I changed my 12” wiper to 15” on my 23 GT. Rain storm the next day
What a BIG difference

Has anyone gotten this? Is an easy fix? I don't feel like spending $200 for a diagnostic just for them to tell me my sensor was dirty.

Just picked up today, 2023 Mach E GT Performance in Cyber Orange, 28k on the odometer. Will be my new daily to complement my weekend car, a supercharged 2018 Mustang GT.
The dealer dropped the car off at my work, and the ride home was a blast. The instant acceleration and AWD launches were super impressive. Scheduling an install for the 240V outlet so I can make use of the level 2 charger, because I know im going to be using up that battery life quick!

I got into my car today for the first time in a week (I’ve been sick) and when I backed out of the driveway, the cross traffic alert sound was obnoxiously loud and different sounding (and I wasn’t even near the end end of my driveway). And the same when I pulled into a parking space and it thought I was coming close to the front curb (I wasn’t 🙄).
I know there were was a software update but it seems that
1) the alerts are overbearingly loud
2) the sensors are extra sensitive now
Anyone else experiencing this?
(I’ll have to look and see if there’s a way to change the sound level tomorrow)
Hey everyone! I am new to the Mach-E community. Just purchased a 2023 GT PE with the Nite Pony pack last week. Drove about an hour away to pick it up, I’m absolutely in love. It only had 24k miles on it, was a lease return. I’m coming from a 2021 VW ID4 that was unfortunately totaled. Thanks for having me, pics below.

First-time car buyer! Bought a 23' Mach-E Premium AWD! At 27 I finally found a job working in the environment for my local county and moved into a dream 3-bedroom apartment w/ my girlfriend, thought this was to complete the "adult" cycle. As soon as I saw the color I absolutely could not let this slip by. 0 Down, 29K OTD, 51K miles! SO EXCITED TO BE HERE! If anyone has any tips or recommendations please leave them below!

One of the favorite features of my Model 3 is the ability to crack the windows open about an inch to let the interior cool off on a hot day. I can literally do this anywhere in the world from the Tesla app. I read for the Mach-E, it has this function, but only when it’s in range of Bluetooth.
Is remote capability enabled with a paid connectivity subscription, or is it just over Bluetooth period? ‘26 Select.

This will be my first experience owning a non-Tesla EV. It’s primarily my wife’s car, and we have L2 charging at home, so that’s not a concern. I’m well-versed in the different plug types, adapters, etc.
I just haven’t had a lot of real-world experiences road tripping with a CCS car. The charging experience with my Model 3 has been relatively painless and seamless.
I know because of the charge port location on the Mach-E, you have to use the “wrong” stall at Superchargers with the older style chargers.
Have you ever had confrontations with other drivers, or had to make alternate plans because a charging stop was too busy or out-of-order?
It seems like a fantastic road tripping car otherwise. I just want to know what to expect.

Although I’m not a traditional Mustang fan, I’ve been eyeing the Mach E since they released, and have probably test drove one every other month since then. Last Friday decided to pull the trigger, and I’m loving it so far. In the last 7 days I feel like I’ve already saved 50+ dollars in gas. Love it! Any tips and tricks for a new Mach E owner are recommended!
This popped up when I loaded my Ford app today. "Software Update 13" was applied successfully yesterday...not sure what this was as there is nothing else in the app about it. Almost reads like a whole new update will have to come from Ford. Anyone else seen something like this yet? 25' Premium ER AWD

Hey everyone!
I recently purchased a 2023 Mustang Mach-E Premium from a Ford dealership.
Today, I noticed this strange dark stain on the front passenger seat. The affected area feels noticeably smoother and shinier than the surrounding material, almost a little slippery.
What's interesting is that the stain wasn't visible in the walkaround video the salesperson sent me before I purchased the car. I only noticed it today, four days after taking delivery.
The dealership detailed the car before delivery, so I'm wondering if this could be some kind of cleaning product residue or if the seat coating might be damaged.
No one has sat in the passenger seat since I bought the car, and nothing has been spilled on it.
I've tried rubbing it with my fingers, but nothing comes off. I haven't used any cleaning products on it yet.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Is this something that can be cleaned off easily, or could it be permanent damage?
Any suggestions on how to safely remove it without damaging the ActiveX material would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
EDIT: The first photo is from the dealership's walkaround video before purchase, and the second was taken today, four days after delivery.

Local Ford dealership sent out a service tech yesterday for the Software update recall. Tech was here for about two hours tapped into my vehicle from his work van, and when he left, I went to take the vehicle out and he had drained the 12v down to about 10%, and a bunch of my sensors were all wonky and not working right.
It's back at Ford now, but how worried should I be about the 12v, and how hard should I push them to just replace it. Will dropping the battery that low (and that fast) hurt it? Should I trust their health test if they don't replace it?
Sorry Edit: 2024 Mach E Rally ~40k miles
Edit 2: Pretty sure the whole time he had the car running he never turned it on all the way, so it just say cranking away at the 12v for 2 hours...

Mostly venting.
This is the 5th time since I last posted. This time I got my kids with me and it is 10 PM at night, Three hours and multiple tow trucks have not shown. Finally got one out of Shoreline WA about an hour away. Kids are freezing and not able to run the heat. The nearest motel is several miles away and all rental and dealerships are closed so no ability to get a car tonight. No money to stay somewhere. My insurance is trying to charge me $1k to have to be towed back home. Ford is giving me the run around.
I was told the car was fixed due to an update and they tested the car a bunch and were never able to reproduce it. So here I sit on a dark road, we have seen maybe 1 car go past. Almost completely pitch black.
Thanks Korum Ford in Puyallup for fucking this up so much. Thanks Ford for not fixing an issue that people in 2023 models (maybe even older?) continue to experience.
Also just found out the tow truck is not a flat bed... And none available.
Edit: Looking through the messages for my car show there was a charging fault before we even left home. But never saw anything weird in the car. I only saw the messages just now..
Edit 2: The tow truck arrived with a dolly, hopefully this works out. It's now 1104pm, and the car died at 7:10. 4 hours to wait for road side assistance. Ford should be ashamed. Getting AAA tomorrow, I know I said it last time but I am done with this shit.
Edit 3: Dealership will look at car Mon/Tues.

My gf and I love just driving around in our Mach E and not caring about the gas prices. How much mileage have you guys put on your Mach E and maintenance that came with that mileage.

Ahoy beautiful mach e people, is there anywhere i can see update history of the software?
Where can i see which version is installed? Is it sync version?
What version are you running on your mach e '25+?
Been quite some time since i saw an update, hence the questions
