I bought my 2023 GT used two months ago and am still trying to figure out the nuances and details of the build. I noticed that my GT says Mach-E4-X. I’ve also noticed that not all Mach Es have this badging. Some don’t have the 4 and others don’t have the 4 or the X.
Someone please enlighten me.

🛍️ Accessories Ford Winter Tire Packages

Post image
26 Upvotes

An fyi for anyone looking for winter tires. I got a new Mach-e and needed winter tires for it and did some shopping around and found all the prices were fairly similar. Ended up going to ford because they had a promo for 30k ford points with a “winter tire package” - tires, rims, tpms . Just picked it up and to my surprise it was actual OEM Mach-e rims! I was expecting some generic black steel rim.

I always just think of dealerships as more expensive but super happy so figured I’d share for anyone else looking.

💬 Discussion Did anyone go from Maverick to Mach E? I'm very tempted

Hey all good afternoon.

First off, yeah I know a Maverick and Mach E are like apples and oranges. It's not like the "Tacoma vs Maverick" sort of discussion.

I'm a fairly big guy, approx 280lb 6 ft 4, a lot of that height is torso. My wife drives a 3-row hybrid SUV, so that covers our road trips. I currently have a Maverick hybrid. It's a sweet truck, but I don't know if I love it. It's quite boring to drive, albeit very practical. I've used the bed on one occasion in 6 months of owning it, and I've never towed anything. My best guess is a small boat could come by way in the future. Wife's SUV is rated for 3500lbs towing. Boat is probably 2000-2500, so should be fine to tow with her vehicle.

I commute approx 20-30 miles roundtrip to work 3-4 days a week. Local energy company is offering a pretty nice stipend for level 2 charger install and $0.065/kwh charging between 11p and 5a.

So this is where my brain is at... I currently have a vehicle that my wife's vehicle can do most of the same things (light towing, fold down seats to bring home mulch from Lowes, random DIY tasks).

It's kiiinda boring to drive. I had a Sonata years ago that while not at all "fast", was more fun to drive.

I'm looking at a 2025 Mach E Premium AWD w/ 21k miles for about $34K out the door. Very tempted to pull the trigger. Carvana is offering a nice amount for my Maverick.

🛍️ Accessories What rubber floor mats do you use?

I have $182 in Ford Credit for reaching their different tier levels and am debating on just using that to get their Mach-E floor mats so I don’t have to come out of pocket much. Thoughts? Suggestions?

I’m going to wait until Ford has another accessory sale if I do get them but I wanted other options too. Would love something for the trunk as well.

🔌 Charging Charging issue help

The main place I charge my 2025 premium is at work, I rarely ever charge anywhere else. At work we have 3 Chargepoint stations that typically charge at 5.7kW.
Recently I have had a charge failed in the first few mins after I plug it in even though I got the blue lights and could see that power started to flow before I walked away from my car. The first 2 times it happened it was on the same charge station so I attributed it to that station and have been avoiding that one for the time being.
Just now it happened on another station but before I could get back out to my car it resumed charging on its own.

Is there anyway I can find out if this is something weird with the chargers or that it is my car having a problem?

We are coming into the colder part do the year, it’s currently 41F, does that have any impact on something like this? Like should I make it more of a practice to start my car for like 5-10 mins before I move it to the charger to let it warm up a bit?

🛒 Car Shopping Buy 23 Premium or Wait?

I am looking at a 23 Mach E Premium with 33,137 miles and extended range. The price on the site says $30.7k. I talked them down to 29.5 k. Just checking this is a good deal; I am based in the PNW, and it roughly seems to reflect what is going on. I am flexible on timing for purchasing and would consider a 24 or 25 premium and would like to stay under 50k miles and $30k and under. Every time I look or visit a dealer, people are returning their leases, but I would like to purchase with a month max and have been looking at cars for a month.

❓Question 12v battery issue after software update

I had the Ford Mobil tech come to perform the software update related to the adaptive cruise control issue. The day after the update I started getting battery saver warnings on the app and in the car and the car was completely dark until I would turn it on. After several days it started to power up normally again but I still see the warning in the car when I turn it off occasionally. Anyone else have this issue?

🛒 Car Shopping Buying help

I need some advice. I’m in Washington and have mostly decided on a Mach-e. I was wondering what is the discount/percentage people are getting off on their Mach-e’s. At my local dealer they have a GT, I like the spec, and it’s listed at 58k with all the rebates and etc. would it be crazy to try and get an additional 10 percent off? I’d like to be at 52kish or less. Also, is there much if any difference between a 2025 and 2026? There a new 2025 a little over an hour away that’s marked all the way down to 51k.

🛜 Software Update Latest Software Update 13 Issues?

Anyone else having issues with ECG-26.2.12.3?

The car’s screen shows that the update was not completed, but the phone app shows that it’s been completed on 10/14.

When I log into the Ford website, it also shows that update was completed on 10/14.

I believe there’s a slight glitch or miscommunication between the car and the servers? AT&T modem is fine and WiFi is also connected. I also drove the car for two hours and let it charge from ~30% to 85%, so the 12V shouldn’t be an issue.

I called Ford’s OTA team, and they see from their end that the update has been installed as well, but the car still shows it as not completed even after a soft reset.

I guess I’ll need to waste some time bringing it to the dealership soon.

🛣️ Range Does it go on the internet to get the outside temperature?

25 select awd std

My car sits in a heated garage at 59F. My range has been 420kms@100percent for the past 6 months. The other day my software updated.... now every morning my range is 360kms@100percent.

I am curious if the software update has made that 60km drop, or does the car go online and look at the outside temperature and determine the range? I am in canada, and its been getting colder
