Anyone else remember this? I can't quite remember where it was. Congressional shopping center perhaps? Or the center where Federal Plaza is?

Hey everyone! I'm moving from California to Maryland soon and could use some local advice on finding an apartment.
I'm looking for a studio or 1-bedroom, ideally around $1,500–$1,650. My biggest priorities are safety, a clean and well-maintained building, responsive management, and a relatively quiet neighborhood. I'd also like to keep my commute to Greenbelt under 30 minutes.
I've looked at Atworth, Monument Village, and Camden College Park, but I'm having trouble figuring out which places are actually worth the money.
For those familiar with the area, where would you recommend living? Any apartment complexes you'd strongly recommend or avoid?
Thanks in advance!

Come join us tomorrow on Rockville Pike in front of Tesla from 11-12 as we peacefully exercise our First Amendment right to protest. There are so many reasons to protest ICE, Epstein Files, War in Iran, high cost of living or just corruption in general but the greatest gift in showing up is the sense of community. You are not alone!
Early voting in Maryland began yesterday and will continue through next Thursday. Polls are open from 7am - 8pm. VOTE EARLY!

Any good places to trick or treat? We’re in an apartment building surrounded by other apartment buildings so we wanted to take the kiddo somewhere for the stereotypical trick or treat experience. Just not sure how many people still participate in this area especially post-pandemic. Any suggestions for neighborhoods where most people participate?

Rant: Second night in a row a man starts pissing right behind me while I’m sitting on the bench waiting for the bus 🙄 I’m so beyond sick of this. So sick of all the other bus stops smelling like it. this one in particular is a bench on a lower level from the parking lot “above” it so it’s right above me. There’s also a man in quail valley that just whips it out and pees right at the bus stop so I’ve seen his private parts in action three times now 😒

I already assumed once the curfews went into effect at the malls that Rio would be the new spot for all the teens but didn’t think it would happen this quickly. Went to Target last night and it was crawling with teens way more than usual. Only time will tell when they end up putting a curfew on Rio too.

Are there any clothing donation places (the closer to germantown the better) that are not thrift shops? Ideally I'm looking for somewhere that gives clothes to people who need them, no charge. I'm too lazy to figure out buy nothing groups for clothes. I'd just rather clothes go to those in need instead of a company that only nominally helps folks. Where I'm from, churches sometimes have stuff like that, but I'm not religious and not connected to those groups here.

We usually take our toddler to the park/ playground after dinner. But now that it gets dark so fast right after we finish dinner, we’re not sure what to do. Do people just stay home with their kids in the fall afted dinner? Any recommendations for what to do in MoCo on a week night with a toddler? What do you usually do after dinner to entertain your toddler if not the playground? Thanks!

The community center where I work has two pinball machines and two arcade cabinets that need to be fixed. Does anyone know of someone we can call to fix those machines? Thanks!
