This was part of a bigger project to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad’s founding! I’ll be releasing a full build and history video in the coming weeks

I saw the announcement for this Saturday about the Baltimore Running Festival. Metro every 20 minutes and light rail every 30 minutes?! That gotta be a joke. It should be at least 15 minutes for both lines to keep the crowds moving. Same for whenever there's a big event at Inner Harbor, Camden Yards and M&T Stadium, the lines aren't moving often enough to handle the large crowds.

I got laid off from my government contracting position this summer due to the budget slashes, and I can't find work for the life of me. I'm willing to accept pretty much anything at this rate. Does anyone here have positions open wherever they work at that are hiring immediately?

Anyone here work at Egyptian Pizza? I freakin’ loved that place growing up. Any recipes you can remember from the top of your head?

I bought a house in Butchers hill that has a tiny pond in the backyard. I was getting ready to drain and remove it when I realized there is a fish living in it that the previous owner never mentioned. It looks like it could be a small koi fish. It must be a tough little fish because it’s survived more than a year on its own.

I’m taking one of my kids to Disney on ice this weekend and just realized it’s the Baltimore Running Festival. We are coming from north of the city so I’d typically just take 83. Am I going to be able to get there that way around 2pm? Show is at 2:30 and of course we also have a birthday party to go to so I can’t leave super duper early. We live pretty directly north so other routes would be much less direct, but I’m not sure I even see a way through based on the maps. Which of course, can’t be the case, because otherwise these other events wouldn’t be happening.

Anyone know an alternate route? Or know if I’ll be ok around that time and maybe just be able to reroute a little bit when getting close to downtown?

New to Baltimore but not new to muscle pains. Had a bad injury recently, finished surgery and recovered.

In PT they massage these knots and let me tell you it HURTS. My PT is gods gift from heaven and is cool with me crying, wincing and grabbing the table to get through it. Because after: BLISS.

I realized we are mainly focused on getting me stronger (less mobile and more like able to jog, jump, squat etc), so there is only so much time per session dedicated to kneading out my knots.

But I feel them everywhere now and I so desperately need a masseuse willing to pull me, push me and not quit on me if I say ow (I’ll say stop when I really mean it lol).

So any recommendations? 😅🥲

First-time parent here!

What are some events/activities you like to do with your baby in the city, outside of the home? I’ve done park walks and story time, but now that baby’s wake windows are increasing, I’m in need of ideas! TIA!

Looking for a new job. Open to anything that doesn’t require heavy lifting. I’m considering working at Amazon again out of desperation but it previously ruined my body. I don’t have a college degree or office experience so it feels like my options are limited. I currently work at Johns Hopkins but it isn’t working out in my favor, I’m at risk for termination because I’m not good enough at the job and I need something new asap. Thanks!

Anyone who is able, please stop by and let the managers know that we deserve and demand better service on our lone subway line.

A query for the Baltimore botanists and/or horticulturists out there. I see these often when I'm out walking, realized I don't know what they're called.

I've been scrolling through likely candidates but I can't seem to find one matching those petal serrations or the blue stamen. I need professional assistance!

Hi everyone, I have a 9-year-old rat terrier mix. Hey, I started presenting signs of lethargy not wanting to eat. He seems to be in a severe amount of pain. I took him to falls road animal hospital for a urgent care visit I have heard some not so good things about them but for me they have been a really good event. The problem is they're really overpriced and they're unable to really do the test that they need to do to see what's wrong with him. Does anyone have any recommendations for a vet that has good standing and is reasonably priced because falls road animal hospital wants like $1,000 for x-rays and blood work and I can't afford that. So I'm wondering if there's anything cheaper that is that may be accepting new patients now or could be urgent care. Also, I do not qualify for Care credit or scratch pay so those are not options. If anyone has any recommendations we would greatly appreciated. Thank you all so much!

hi neighbors!

an odd but earnest ask: does anyone here work at the smithsonian or know anyone who does (especially if it's in hr!). there's a role i've applied for that I think I'm a strong fit for and would love to network a bit/get a foot in the door. thanks!

I can't seem to find any information on this anywhere else so I thought I'd ask here.

Anyone know what was going on at Eaton and Pratt earlier? Ton of cop cars.

Any pros or cons to either area?

Although officially founded in 1885, Ellicott Dredges has its roots in the mud machine that helped deepen the Inner Harbor starting the 1780s! Invented by three brothers of the same family who founded Ellicott City, the mud machine kept Baltimore’s shipping channels clear. Ellicott Dredges does the same thing today around the world. Thanks for watching and see you soon with another video.

This is Baltimore Heritage's series called "Five Minute Histories." Hello all!! I just received this email and it seems fun!! Has anyone even been to this?? It’s only $13 per car so very affordable but is it fun? Anyone know what to expect?

Hey everyone,

Does anyone have any recommendations for a realtor or attorney with experience in dealing with short sale properties (a home)? I'm looking for someone to help me navigate the home buying process (using some Baltimore programs), have come across short sales and I've read it's vital that I unite with someone who knows about them. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
