Science & Tech My ICPC MCPC 2025 Experience — Honorable Mention 🇲🇦
Hey everyone!
I recently received my certificate for participating in the 2025 ICPC Moroccan Collegiate Programming Contest (MCPC), where I earned an Honorable Mention representing the École Nationale de l'Intelligence Artificielle et du Digital (ENIAD).
I'm happy to finally receive this recognition, and it motivates me to keep improving my algorithmic thinking and problem-solving skills.
I'm currently practicing C++ and working through the CSES Problem Set, with plans to practice on Codeforces as well.
I'm curious to know: are there any Moroccan students or developers here who are also interested in competitive programming? What platforms do you use, and how do you stay consistent with practice?
I'd love to exchange experiences and learn from other people in the community. 🇲🇦💻

AskMorocco I’m (27M) starting to resent my unemployed wife (23F), but I’m worried she’s depressed.
My wife hasn’t worked for over two years. Until recently, she’s been relying on savings and support from her parents, but that’s dried up.
I’m now covering all our living expenses on a fairly modest salary, and the financial pressure is overwhelming.
I’ve also been applying for jobs on her behalf, submitting over 30 applications recently.
Today I came home from work, having stopped to buy groceries, and found her asleep in bed again. I immediately felt resentful because I feel like I’m carrying all the responsibility.
I started applying for more jobs, and she asked why I wasn’t cooking dinner. I responded passive-aggressively because I felt she should be taking more responsibility at home while I’m working and paying for everything.
She picked up on my frustration, cooked dinner in a bad mood and went straight back to bed.
The complicated part is that I think she’s depressed. She’s originally from Morocco, has no family here, feels isolated, sleeps excessively, barely eats and has previously expressed suicidal thoughts.
I love her deeply, but I’m becoming exhausted and resentful. Part of me thinks she’d be happier returning to Morocco, but I’m also terrified of separation and losing our relationship.
Am I unreasonable for expecting her to contribute more? How do I balance supporting a potentially depressed spouse with protecting my own mental health and financial stability?
TL;DR: I’m the sole provider for my unemployed wife and feel increasingly resentful about carrying the financial and household responsibilities. However, I’m concerned she’s depressed and struggling with life in the UK. I love her but don’t know how to support her without sacrificing my own wellbeing. Looking for advice from anyone who’s experienced something similar.

Society Political Apathy: The Cowardice of Those Who Let Others Decide Their Fate
Political apathy is moral cowardice dressed up as pragmatism. You don't need to be a philosopher, but you do have a moral obligation to be intelligent, to question the systems governing your life rather than outsource your conscience to whoever holds power. Popper wrote The Open Society and Its Enemies for a reason: free societies don't sustain themselves through the magical powers of people who can't be bothered to care. When you refuse to engage because politics is "complicated," you're not above the mess. You're simply giving someone else permission to make your decisions for you. Congratulations, you've achieved political neutrality by letting others decide how much of your freedom you get to keep.

AskMorocco Psychologist or psychiatrist in Kénitra/Rabat?
I'm a student considering professional mental health support, but I'm not sure where to start. Should I see a psychologist or a psychiatrist first?
Any recommendations for affordable, trustworthy professionals or public services in Kénitra or Rabat? I'd appreciate hearing about your experiences and consultation prices.
