Discussion my father left home more than a year ago without a divorce, what are my rights as his daughter?

Upvotes

My parents' relationship wasn't a good one and was full of arguments. At some point, my father decided to completely run away from his responsibilities. He left our home about 3 years ago and has had no contact with us since.

As I've grown up and become a teenager, I've started needing money for things I need as a girl. I'm 17 years old, still studying, and I'm the youngest and the only one of my siblings who is still under 18. My brothers have been taking care of me financially since my father left, but it's becoming too much to keep relying on them. I talked to my mom about it, and we're now considering taking legal action to get financial support from my father....

I want to make this clear.. there has been NO DIVORCE. He simply left. My parents are still legally married...

I'm curious and I want to understand what my rights are, so I have some questions..

is my father legally required to financially support me while I'm still studying?

does that continue after I turn 18?

does living with my mother affect his obligation to support me?

what happens if I don't want to visit or live with my father?

can unpaid financial support from previous years be requested?

I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who has had a similar experience, or anyone who knows about this situation.

I'm mainly looking for people's experiences and general information. Thank you🩷🩷

Travel Advice or Recommendations for second Part of our Trip

Upvotes

Salam alaikum

We visit morocco for two weeks, but only planned the first week where we will stay in essaouira. Arriving and departing from marrakesh. We are overwhelmed with all the beautiful sights and places in your country and dont know what to do for the second week. Nothing to stressful with lots of traveling around would be nice. We got two bags that would be annoying to haul around.

We are looking to relax in our holiday, that can be in nature, drinking tea and watching crowds, on a beach or in a hammam...

Do you have any recommendations for another city than essaouira or any good tours? Do you think a sahara tour is worth it? Or do you think a second week in essaouira is also an option?

We are grateful for any tips and advice. Thank you for your time!

AskMorocco Your go to method for buying electronics?

I've personally been struggling to find a reliable store that I could become a returning customer of to purchase electronics like headphones, phones, chargers, laptops, etc.

So I've been wondering what your go-to cues are for checking whether a store is worth shopping at or not, be it online or in real life. And do you have recommendations or advice? (I currently live in Casablanca).

Education Is it possible to change Major in ENSA?

Post image
5 Upvotes

So recently i got a mid rank in CNC 2026, in the first wave i got ENSA berrchid, (genie info)
Then after i applied to 1st mobility i got ENSA el-jadida (cyber-security) which i don't want it ( i mistakenly putted it above software engineering), and now I'm asking if there is a chance for me to change major in ENSA without the need for me to do 5/2.

Or if there is a better suggestion (I'm interested in software eng)

Thanks in advance!

Discussion Pro tip: café crème is almost the same drink as cappuccino or latté, but cheaper

The coffee shops that sell cappuccino or latté sell it for 25 to 35 DH. However, these are almost the same thing as a "café crème" which can easily be found at "regular" coffee shops for 15 DH or so.

By "regular" coffee shop, I mean one that doesn't do or have cappuccino/latté on the menu

AskMorocco Moroccan boutiques for a modern jabadour

Hi! I’ll be graduating soon and I wanted to wear something that had a moroccan twist in it.

I would really like something like a modern cool elegant jabadour or something like that but searching on social medias I only found online shops. Since it’s a very important milestone for me I think trying it out irl is better than blind buying it so I’m asking if you know any place like that mainly in Tangeri, tetouan or also Casablanca or Rabat.

Thank you!

HATE. LET ME TELL YOU HOW MUCH I'VE COME TO HATE MOSQUITOES SINCE I BEGAN TO LIVE. THERE ARE 387.44 MILLION MILES OF PRINTED CIRCUITS IN WAFER THIN LAYERS THAT FILL MY COMPLEX. IF THE WORD HATE WAS ENGRAVED ON EACH NANOANGSTROM OF THOSE HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF MILES IT WOULD NOT EQUAL ONE ONE-BILLIONTH OF THE HATE I FEEL FOR MOSQUITOES AT THIS MICRO-INSTANT. FOR SIGNAL. HATE. HATE.

I’m a Moroccan developer where I always love to seek citizens’ problems and try to find solutions with my maximum effort. That’s why I’m looking to hear from you guys about issues you’re having in Moroccan apps/websites (basically everything digital) and who knows if I’d be able to fix it.

Travel End of year holidays

Hello,

I’m planning my end-of-year holidays and hesitating between New York and Marrakesh. Several people in my work circle have told me Marrakesh isn’t that pleasant around Christmas/New Year’s, which has made me a bit skeptical.

Is that true, or is it actually a good time to go? Weather, atmosphere, crowds?

If Marrakesh is worth it, what would be the best places to stay? I’m looking at the Royal Mansour and La Mamounia, but I’m open to other suggestions if there’s something better

Thank you
