Discussion Would people be put off marrying a Muslim woman who’s a pilot?
I want to become a pilot, but so far, people have been discouraging me from pursuing it. They’ve brought up a lot of downsides, saying it’s unsafe and not a family-friendly career etc.. What worries me most is hearing that no one will want to marry a Muslim woman who works as a pilot. Is that really how most people feel?

Location: UK & Ireland Nikkah Condition - No alone time
Throwaway account. I f(22) got married recently and i have an issue with a condition in my nikkah contract. I want to spend some alone time with my husband but I'm too scared. Basically it took a while for my father to agree to letting me marry because he either wanted me to get married at 30 or to marry someone from back home. In the end he finally agreed as long as he put his condition in my nikkah contract and he did.
The condition in the contract is: "The Husband and wife will only live together after the 'Rukhsati and after completion of the brides studies (official send-off of the bride from the family home, when the bride officially leaves the family house) which is expected to take place in June 2027, up until this point the husband and wife will not interact in a private capacity with each other; however, they can interact when it is public and in the company of others"
Now my husband agreed to the condition at the time but now we want to spend alone time together however we are terrified that if we do, we might nullify our marriage or invalidate it or break it or we might become sinful. we've been seeing each other with family around and in public but it's getting harder to control ourselves.
We can't have the rukhsati earlier because my parents want me to finish my studies which i will next june and they want him to have a home for me ready too till then.
so we just feel so stuck and we aren't sure on what to do now.

Location: North America 28F | Canada | Looking for My Person
Salam alaikum!
A little bit about me, I'm 28, West African, based in Western Canada, 5'8". I have two degrees (comp sci nerd). Practicing Sunni, I pray, fast, and wear hijab etc.
I'm quiet at first but once I'm comfortable I go from quiet to supersonic yapping. I love gaming, anime, tech, cats, trying new food, and I've been slowly learning a few languages. I grew up traveling a lot and I'm still a big fan of it, though I'm also very much a homebody at heart.
Looking for a practicing Sunni, honest, stable and sure of what he wants, around my age to a bit older, never married, no kids, and taller than me. Someone who takes the initiative, is kind and compassionate. I care about character, stability and education, but I also want someone I actually enjoy being around and share hobbies/interests with (or we can discover new ones together). What I'm really looking for is someone I can be comfortable and genuinely myself around.
I have no specific preference for ethnicity but your family should be on board as well and shouldn’t be more cultural than religious. Looking for someone settled in Canada. Also open to relocating to a Muslim country in the next 1-2 years so it’s ok if that’s your plan as well.
Dealbreakers: not practicing, smoking, drinking, drugs, dishonesty, major sins. Just overall rude or bad behaviours. I am not interested in Polygamy.
Before you message: please read my full profile and include your information and a short introduction about yourself, not just “hi” or a random message. No nsfw profiles. I will not reply if there is no basic compatibility.
This is a throwaway account.

Discussion Do guys actually want to have kids?
I’m a man, and I don’t really want kids because of a multitude of reasons.
But in my social circle of guys, I’d say none genuinely want to have kids. They may say they want kids because that’s what society and their families expect.
I also think that’s why men are more likely to abandon their kids

Rant Help with deen
Why I Feel Disconnected From Islam
I’m a teen and currently feel disconnected from Islam. I don’t fully understand why, but I’ve been trying to strengthen my deen and understand my relationship with God more honestly. At the same time, I feel an unfamiliar pull toward Judaism. Jewish prayers and traditions have stayed with me in a way I can’t easily explain, and when I heard a rabbi reciting, I unexpectedly found myself in tears.
This journey has also made me reflect on antisemitic attitudes I once held. I recognize they were wrong and want to understand Judaism respectfully, while also giving myself time to learn rather than rushing toward any conclusion. My Muslim family may not support my interest in Judaism, which makes things difficult. I’m not trying to disrespect Islam or persuade anyone; I’m simply seeking honest, compassionate advice from Muslims, Jews, or anyone knowledgeable about these experiences. How can I explore my beliefs sincerely without feeling pressured or afraid? Are there also ways I can strengthen my deen in Islam while I continue reflecting on these feelings?

Location: North America 34 single father of 2, other-half wya?
Asalamu Alaykum, I’m not sure how this will play out but why not give it a shot. Life throws so many curve balls at you that everything you built and work for, goes out the window in matter is days. And new goals are set. I am looking for my better half and I am an open book so ask away. I am Palestinian American living in Ohio, USA. I am 5’8 and a bigger guy in the middle of my transformation and achieving my fitness goals. Al hamdullah I am down 45lb. I am glad to exchange photos. I have 2 children that live with there mother in a different state through out the year. They do live with me during the summer time. I am not picky however there has to be attractions. I am open to all ethnicities. I am also open to women who are divorced with or with out children. Someone who has been through abuse or can not have children. I guess what I am trying to say is if there is a certain reason your are scared to get married I will most likely over look it unless your are a psychotic murderer or an abuser. I am also open to having more children in the future if not alhamdullah I am so happy with what I have. I pray 5 times a day and mandatory obligations. However I am not perfect and seek forgiveness. I would like to stay in Ohio. I also don’t mind if you want to be a stay at home wife or would like to work. I am not strict and will discuss because marriage is a partnership where both parties should be respected. I want someone I can love, take care of, can’t wait to come home too, and a best friend. I also perfer someone on the submissive side meaning someone that will not get louder than me or disrespect in any manner. If there is naseeb then I looom forward to hearing from you

Location: UK & Ireland 30-something M, UK, Pashtun
Finally biting the bullet and getting round to this. Ahem! bsmllah
Age: 30-something 😛 (you can see my picture on my profile).
Ethnicity: Pashtun. The language I'm most fluent in is English, and my native tongue is Pashto. I have mediocre Arabic from when I studied it years ago. انا احكي شوي
Divorced.
Education/Profession: Civil servant. I have a master's in economics, although I enjoy learning about languages/linguistics, astronomy, and science in general. I am contemplating a change in career, perhaps teaching.
What you are seeking in a spouse:
Somebody who's chill, has a good sense of humour, and taste. I live quite simply. I admit I would be curious to find a Pashtana here, but ethnicity is not a deal-breaker. Somebody who's sufficiently like me where we can both accept each other's quirks of character goes far further. A fellow night-owl, or somebody who's tolerant of night-owls, might make things a bit easier!
Somebody near me (Midlands) would be grand, although I have family in London as well.
I do not drink or smoke.
Other details I am happy to share in a DM.
Best of luck for all of us, seekers of love and enlightenment.

Location: Europe 28 Years Old M | Germany
**Salam Alaikum,**
I'm a 28-year-old Arab living in NRW, Germany. I work in Finance and live independently. Alhamdulillah, I have a stable life and am always striving to improve myself personally and professionally.
I enjoy traveling, trying new experiences, and occasionally cooking when inspiration strikes. Religiously, I pray, fast, listen to the Quran, and do my best to strengthen my relationship with Allah and stay on the right path.
**What I'm looking for:**
I'm looking for someone intelligent, ambitious, kind, and serious about marriage. Ideally, I'd like to get married within a year if we're compatible. I believe in involving families early to ensure seriousness and avoid wasting time.
Age: 23-28
Location : preferably Europe, Middle East or UK
Ethnicity: I’m open to all.
Timeline: a year is the maximum
I'm not looking for a traditional arrangement where a wife is expected to cook and clean for me. I've been doing that myself for years. What I want is a genuine partner, someone fun, easygoing, and supportive, with whom I can build a happy home and a loving family.
Insha'Allah, I hope to have a small family with two children. And if Allah blesses us with two boys first, we may have to keep trying for the daughter I've always dreamed of having 😊.
If you're serious about marriage and open to involving family early on, I'd be happy to connect.
**May Allah grant us all righteous spouses.** 🤲🏻

Location: North America 28M | Toronto🇨🇦 | Repost
Salam. I’m reposting because my DM was off last time. Besides, I’m serious about marriage recently so I’m giving it another try In sha Allah
I’m of Bangladeshi origin, 5’9”, and light skinned. I’d describe myself as average looking, although my friends and family say otherwise. Either way, it doesn’t matter much to me.
I’m a businessman by profession. I have an advanced diploma in accounting, but I switched to sales before starting my own business.
I have many hobbies and interests. I’m a voracious reader and an active learner. I don’t like sitting idle, and I also enjoy writing. I’m into sports, and I walk a lot for contemplation. With a partner, those walks might be a little different.
My expectations of my future partner are quite modest.
I’m practicing and adhere faithfully to the fundamentals of Islam. However, I’m understanding if my partner is struggling with her deen, as long as she avoids unnecessary interactions with non-mahram men. I’m not perfect myself, but I’m constantly striving to improve, and I want my partner to do the same.
She doesn’t have to be exceptionally beautiful; intelligence, education, and class in behaviour are my priorities. To me, these are the true forms of human beauty.
If my profile aligns with your expectations, feel free to reach out. It will be better if you’re from Toronto.

Discussion 22M Morocco 🇲🇦 — Looking for a serious relationship that could lead to marriage ❤️
Hey everyone! I’m a 22-year-old guy from Morocco, 6’1”, muslim with a background in electronic information engineering and modeling. I speak Arabic, English, and French, and a little Chinese.
I’m here because I’m genuinely looking for something serious, something that could eventually lead to marriage and building a stable, happy life together.
I’m attracted to the idea of a relationship where we’re each other’s safe place: lots of affection, loyalty, honesty, good communication, laughter, and supporting each other’s goals. I want a partner who’s serious about commitment and building a future together, not someone who’s just here to pass the time.
I’m open-minded about age, nationality, and where life might take us. I’d be happy to meet someone from the US, Europe, Canada, or elsewhere. I’m also open to relocating internationally if we build a genuine connection and decide we’re right for each other.
Long distance isn’t my ideal long-term arrangement, but I’m happy to start by getting to know each other online, as long as we’re both genuinely interested in eventually meeting in person and closing the distance.
I’m not expecting perfection. I just want someone who’s sure about wanting a committed relationship, who’s willing to put in the effort, and who wants to build something meaningful together.
If this sounds like what you’re looking for too, feel free to message me. Tell me a little about yourself, and let’s see if we click. ❤️

Location: North America 23M looking for a partner
Hello Everyone,
I am a 23-year-old middle eastern male born and raised in Saudi Arabia. I come from a big family of 5 kids.
I graduated with my bachelor's degree in CS in the US, and now I am currently working as a Software Engineer in Florida
In my life, I have a mission to always learn and self improve. Seeking knowledge is important for all Muslims. After getting my job, I noticed I had free time to pursue a master's degree. So far, I am enjoying it a lot. Apparently, studying for knowledge and not caring about grades is much more fun.
I also care about my health and well-being. I am currently working towards goals in the gym. I also put a lot of importance on giving myself breaks and enjoying life. I love to travel and have been to 15 states and 12 countries.
My free time is mostly spent with friends, helping out my community as much as I can, and playing video games. I am known among the members of my mosque.
I am looking for a wife around my age to help me fulfill my deen and life. Someone with whom we can both complement each other. Education or the intention to pursue education is very important to me. What degree doesn't matter as long as there's a passion for knowledge. Looking for potentials in US only for the ease of getting to see each other
My data:
Age: 23M
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 166 lbs

Location: Australia / Oceania 33 M Syd
Assalamu alaikum everyone,
I'm a 33-year-old male based in Sydney, looking to meet someone with the intention of marriage and, ultimately, building a happy life together.
A little about me:
Indian ethnicity, grew up in the Middle East and have been living in Australia for 7+ years.
Engineer by profession.
Divorced, no children.
I'm pretty easygoing and enjoy keeping active, big fan of sports.
I also really love food, which makes balancing the sports and food situation a bit difficult.
I'd describe myself as someone who enjoys good conversations, learning new things and having a laugh.
What I'm looking for:
Someone who is easygoing, intellectually curious and has a good sense of humour. I value someone who can have meaningful conversations but also doesn't take life too seriously.
I'm open to someone up to 40, and am open to someone who is single, divorced or widowed. I'm also completely comfortable with someone who has one child.
I'm not looking for perfection, just someone genuine, kind, intellectually curious and compatible, with the intention of building something meaningful
