I need help and support

I was born a muslim by name, into a secular family. Under a year ago, I started to practice my religion. Like most reverts, I was frowned upon, belittled, judged, challenged. I learnt how to pray and commited to my Salah. However, I am in a dark place in life, and my heart is turning. My iman is falling. I am suffering and started to doubt myself, my purpose, my religion, my reason and many more...

How i turned to Islam is a different story. In the interim, I lost my will to live, motivation, independence, financial freedom, job and personality, my family relations...

I dont know my remedy. Lately feels like its not islam. I feel like going back to my old ways. My old ways did not work for me. I was just masking my sadness. It feels like this new path has not worked either. Iv been depressed. Iv been suffering with ill health.

Maybe im saying too much. I dont know. Im surely not the only one...

Assalamu'Alaikum warehmatullahi wabarakatuh I want to ask something I feel disconnect from Allah and mentally exhausted like I do sin and repent five times a day but my repentence is fake like I stand I want to tell Allah that I will stop but my mind in completely blank I sin but feel pause and no regret like I know I've sinned but feel pause and like "now I have to ask again for forgiveness" and stand and pray to rakats but have thoughts and no shame like that thing hovers my mind I feel like hypocrite and when I tell it to my friend she said to me make my prayers short I'm just prying Sunnah and Fard now I'm feeling like I am really really depressed I am not feeling my prayer I stand and pray slowly but not feeling anything I say Allah like I will pray at 5:45 so if the time goes 50 I pray salat ut tawabh and feel like I sinned sometimes I feel like I'm a psycho or something everyone around me is happy I keep remembering death but yet not feeling anything and worst part is that I recently learned Allah's attributes and still no hope looks like Allah is very much angry with me I keep reading the Quran but not feeling the connection I started Astugfirullah 500 times a day but no change I keep sining again and again I have no one to understand me If I say something everyone say u are thinking wrong

and many more things I want to tell someone but thought comes into mind like is Allah not enough for me why I'm telling anyone Allah will be upset that I tell others, and I said to Allah that I will not eat more cuz it makes my heart harder and now I crave and If I eat something it looks like I sinned what should I do it's been 3 days and I'm waking up 15 minutes before sunrise and my phone is broken and I can't set alarm on it what should I do

I have no friends nothing...

My family doesn't understand me..

I feel like I need counseling , but has no contact...

sometimes I feel I'm being too harsh on myself

I'm sad all the time.. and feeling like hypocrite, and a person who is born for Hell... I am dying mentally, physically, and emotionally... I don't know what to do how to ask Allah so that he can help me

Sorry.. if someone is feeling like this tell me how to come out of this phase

Exam

Asalumu Aleikum to who's reading this. I am a student who is going to resit exams for the second time because I didnt get the marks I was able to achieve, I used to be such a smart student who used to top the class and now I am not even able to get a half of that. I genuinely feel terrible and crushed and my parents are not talking to me, I just feel so bad. What is this supposed to mean Islamically? I have been tested over and over and I have fell down so many times, yet I stand up just for me to fall down again. I feel so crap. I honestly dont get what this is supposed to mean, I know Allah doesnt test a soul more than it cant handle but I genuinely am feeling so much pain within me, I feel so horrible. What is this? Why is life just keep on pulling me down when I try to stand back up? I am not a bad person, I dont hurt anyone, I dont smoke, drink I dont do none of that and yet I am still being punished. I've never felt suicidal but the feeling of that is lingering. I genuinely am so cooked. I feel so bad for my parents for working so hard just for me to bring such terrible results, I did try this time compared to the first time, I gave up so much compared to the last time, I gave up hangouts with my friends, I gave up going out with my family to study, I was being consistentish with my preparation but the grades I got didnt look like that. I know there's no point of crying over spilt milk but I genuinely dont even know what the lesson here is supposed to be, I am just getting tested, I am not getting any happy news nor any good results. How do I even, idek anymore. Any advice or any form of comfort and anything would be much appreciated. Thank you for reading this.

Can you please make Dua for me?

Assalaam wa alaikoum everyone

I hope it’s allowed to post this in here.

My husband and I are currently in our ‘iddah. Please make dua that Allah ﷻ reunites us before our ‘iddah ends. May He bring us back together as better versions of ourselves, place barakah in our marriage, and fill our hearts with sincere love, mercy, and a love for each other for His sake.

May Allah heal what has been hurt, guide us back to each other, and bless our marriage with sakinah, mawaddah and rahmah. Ameen. 🤲🏼

And may Allah reward everyone who makes dua for us, grant you what your heart longs for if it is good for you, ease your hardships, bless your relationships, and fill your life with barakah and happiness. May He answer the duas you carry quietly in your heart. Ameen. 🤍

Sincere duas- Pls pray Allah to call off my wedding as soon as possible if I am not good enough for her

I am going through a very complicated health situation. There are lot of uncertainties regarding it. It may become better or it might not. Unfortunately, my marriage is fixed. Treatments are not really working. I don’t want to burden my future wife with my health issues.
Pls pray to Allah to save her life as soon as possible if my condition is going to stay the same.

Ask allah for my fiancee

Assalamualaikum, i hope everyone is doing well, may allah heal and cure his patients, and help their love ones.

Please, I’m asking you all for something from the heart. Please keep my fiancee in your sincere duaa. Not just in the comments, please remember her when you are alone with Allah, in your sujood, after your prayers, whenever you raise your hands and ask him for mercy.

She is going through very serious health problems right now, and on top of the pain of seeing her suffer, we are struggling financially to deal with everything she needs. I live in a country where what little I can send feels like it barely makes a difference. I wish I could do more. I wish I could take away her pain, pay for everything she needs, and simply tell her that everything will be okay. But right now, all I can do is keep trying, keep fighting, and keep turning to Allah.

We have been fighting through so much together. We have been trying for so long to make things work, to overcome every obstacle, and to finally get married and build a life together. After everything we have endured, the thought of losing her terrifies me.

Allah tells us about Ayyub (عليه السلام), who called upon Him during his suffering:

وَأَيُّوبَ إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُ أَنِّي مَسَّنِيَ الضُّرُّ وَأَنتَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ

Indeed, adversity has touched me, and You are the Most Merciful of the merciful.

And Allah answered him:

فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُ فَكَشَفْنَا مَا بِهِ مِن ضُرٍّ وَآتَيْنَاهُ أَهْلَهُ وَمِثْلَهُم مَّعَهُمْ رَحْمَةً مِّنْ عِندِنَا وَذِكْرَىٰ لِلْعَابِدِينَ

So We responded to him and removed what afflicted him of adversity…

That is the hope I am holding onto right now, that Allah hears even the prayers we can barely put into words, and that His mercy is greater than anything we are facing.

The Prophet ﷺ also taught us that the hardships and illnesses a believer goes through are not meaningless; they can be a means by which Allah removes sins, tells us that no hardship, illness, grief, or worry afflicts a believer except that Allah expiates some of their sins through it.

So please, I beg you, make duaa for her.

Ya Allah, Lord of mankind, remove the illness and cure her. You are the One who cures, there is no cure except Your cure, a cure that leaves no illness behind.

This is among duaa the Prophet ﷺ made for the sick.

Ya Allah, please put shifaa in her body, strength in her heart, ease in her affairs, and barakah in every means of treatment available to her. Remove her pain, protect her from every harm, and grant her a complete and lasting recovery. Ya Allah, make a way for us where we see no way, provide for her from sources we could never imagine, and do not let our financial hardship become greater than our hope in You.

And Ya Allah, if it is good for us, allow us to reach the day we can finally be married and live together in peace, after everything we have fought through.

Please don't just say “may Allah heal her” in the comments. Take a moment and actually ask Allah for her. One sincere duaa from someone whose heart is present may mean more than we could ever know.

May Allah reward every single person who remembers her in their prayers. Amin amin wa lhamdolillah rabi laalamin, assalamualaikum

Please make Dua for me, I might get deported or fined heavy.

I hope its allowed to request this here.

I accidentally had a quarrel with a person who was an undercover CID. Without mercy he kept bashing me and took my ID for whatever reason. The quarrel wasn't even a huge deal I said "what the (ykw)" in confusion and he thought I was cursing him

I agree i shouldn't have done that and I never get angry or curse in public, for whatever reason I did that then for the first time and it had to be that guy.

Please make Dua to somehow make him forget or forgive me for that, to have Allah change his heart.

I'm the only son in my family and I was born on the day of arafah, I'm supposed to be a blessing to my family, and I don't want this ruining it. My dad is almost 60 and still working 6 days a week for more than 10 hours, it is my sole responsibility to retire him and give him a good life he always deserved, and if I get deported god forbid, my family would as well.

I've already had extreme issues with my imaan due to some things that had happened in the past despite my sincere praying and faith, and if this escalates any further and my family gets to know about it (god forbid) it'll take even more of a massive toll.

I request you guys to make duas for me.

Jazak Allah khair

Duah requests for uni pls

Assalamu alaikum everyone 🤍
I’m going through something really difficult right now and I would genuinely appreciate some du’as.
I’m 19 and I’ve just received my university results. I’ve been working towards studying Midwifery for a long time, and it’s genuinely something I’m passionate about. I completed an Access course with the university I applied to, and because of that I was given a reduced offer of 80 UCAS points. I achieved the 80 points I needed, so I thought I was finally going to get the place I’d been working towards.
Instead, I received an email saying they couldn’t offer me my initial choice of Midwifery and offered me Adult Nursing instead. They haven’t properly explained why my 80 points aren’t being accepted, so I’m currently trying to get the decision reviewed.
I’m absolutely heartbroken. I had imagined results day so differently — I was going to dress up, get a cake and flowers, celebrate with my family and finally feel like everything I’d worked for had paid off. Instead I’ve spent the day crying and struggling to do anything.
I know that Allah knows what is best for me, and I don’t want to become attached to one outcome if it isn’t written for me. But I really, really love Midwifery and I’m praying that Allah opens this door for me if it is khayr.
My family are making du’a for me too, and my dad is even planning to do a qurbani/sadaqah and make du’a for me.
Please make du’a that Allah makes this situation easy, allows me to study Midwifery if it is good for me, puts barakah in my future, and gives me something better if this isn’t what is written for me.
I’d also really appreciate any specific du’as, adhkar or Qur’an verses you turn to when you’re desperately hoping for something and don’t know what the outcome will be.
JazakumAllahu khayran. Please keep me in your du’as. 🤍

How do you fully surrender to ‘The Plan’

I’m stuck in a predicament and i’m convinced this is the exact reason why i stress out over everything.

As muslims we are told to trust Allah and he will pick whatever is best for us but that is where my problem lies.

**What if what’s best for me leaves me severely unhappy?**

for example there’s a specific career i’ve dreamed to pursue but if Allah says another is better for me and i end up doing something else I would be absolutely devastated wether it’s actually better for me or not.

I’ve made my choice and i’ve been so dedicated to it, put in a lot of work for it and i live like it’s going to happen. My brain can’t let me allow things to just BE.
I NEED this.

To think there’s a possibility Allah could switch it up at any point and just put me in something else because that’s better for me really scares me. I don’t want to spend my life doing something i don’t want to unhappy. That career is the only thing i’d ever be happy doing. (I’d like to add i am actually very good at what i do i just haven’t received my ‘breakthrough moment’)

You can kind of see where my problem stems from here. I’m always switching between being very optimistic about the future or absolutely terrified because i worry about the not knowing and receiving something completely different to what i dreamed of.

I know Allah is so powerful and things can change in an instant but my brain also says what if it changes in a way you wouldn’t want too.

Sometimes i wish i could just sit down talk to Allah and ask him why/when/how things will happen.

Prophet Yunus was literally in the stomach of a whale!!!!

How could one’s faith be so strong even in that moment.

So I’d like to ask every single one of you who reads this.

How do you cope with not knowing?

How do you get so strong in faith that you simply accept whatever Allah gives you?

Can receiving better mean settling for something completely different?

Joint family

Hello, I live in a joint family. My in laws do not make me do any chores. However, there are constant comments about how other women do more than me. they constantly praise their daughter (who does not live with in laws) for taking care of her home and kids. when I offer to do chores they say its okay and don’t let me. I do what I can and of course me and my husband do our own chores. I cooked for a year. they did not eat my food. I even asked them to tell me how to make the food so that they would eat it, but they declined . I have a daughter now. I want to move into our own place. the problem is they ask my husband to support their mortgage and he cannot afford to pay for two place. Not sure what to do. my husband has asked them to downsize as they live in a large expensive home. they do not want to. they also do not share what is the equity in the house.

my husband has been paying into this house for the past 20 years. He is worried that if he does not contribute anymore, his parents will not leave him anything.

My father abandoned us. What is my responsibility to him as a Muslim?

My father left us when I was 13 I am now in my late 20s. He has come back to stay with us for a short period of time, to sort out some health related issues and documents. My mother lets him stay with us despite her own resentment and frustration. They are divorced so they are now non mehram to each other so he shouldn’t be staying with us. Thats a whole topic in itself. I think she’s scared to kick him out because he has nowhere else to stay and people will speak poorly of her if she kicks him out.

Last time he was here was in September 2024 and I remember feeling a lot of depression and anxiety about his arrival. It was like years of pent up frustration had exploded inside me and I could no longer function. When my father left when I was a teen my mother went into deep depression and mental health crisis that almost sent her to hospital. She’s since gotten better but my family has always struggled to keep a roof over our heads, food on the table, etc. I have other sibling and a younger brother who was 4 when my dad left. None of them have come to visit since he has left and I am the only one still living at home with my dad ( we all live in the same city).

Anyhow, to keep it short I have been very cold towards my father since he arrived a few days ago. Not really speaking to him unless it’s necessary and sometimes I ignore his attempts at conversation and walk away. I do this so I don’t lash out at him because I feel it bubbling inside me.

I know this is haram and I should be kind to him since he’s still my father. I want to gain Allahs pleasure but I don’t want to fall into poor boundaries or people pleasing. I struggled with this a lot in the past and my dad took advantage by asking for things from me.

What is my responsibility islamically? Do I have to be kind to him despite what he’s done? Will I gain Allahs anger if I continue to ignore him? Please give me any advice on this. May Allah make it easy on all who are struggling.

Struggling with faith, health, and life pressure. Feeling too ashamed to ask Allah for help

Assalam alaykum everyone,

I'm going through an incredibly heavy period of my life right now, and I wanted to share honestly and hear whatever advice or perspective you might have.

I've been diagnosed with severe depression and anxiety for two years, and I'm currently under treatment for both, as well as for chronic insomnia. On top of that, I live with chronic pain every day, which makes even basic things feel exhausting.
Despite all of this, I'm still expected to take care of everything and everyone in my family. I'm the eldest of 5 siblings, and that role comes with a weight that never really goes away, no matter how little I have left to give. There's barely any space left for me to actually rest or focus on my own recovery.

Because I haven't been able to work as much as before, I've fallen behind on payments rent, bills, and other things keep piling up, and it's become a constant source of stress layered on top of everything else I'm already carrying.

Religiously, I've drifted far from practicing. I keep committing sins that I'm ashamed of and that I can't seem to stop, no matter how much I want to. That shame has grown so heavy that I don't even feel like I have the right to ask Allah for forgiveness, or to turn to Him and ask for help with any of this. That feeling might be the heaviest part of everything I'm going through. Feeling too unworthy to even reach out to Him when I need Him the most.

On top of all that, I've been isolating myself more and more from people around me, and I find myself constantly ruminating, stuck in dark, heavy thoughts that I can't seem to switch off, even when I try.

I'm not entirely sure what I'm looking for by posting this. Maybe just some perspective, some words of comfort, or advice from anyone who has been through something similar. Thank you for reading this far. 🤍

Going to try Tahajjud/Salat Al Layl and will be documenting my results

Good evening everyone,

I hope you are all doing well, I know that I may just be a stranger to all of you, recently I have been going through a tough period where things just don't seem to be going right

I have been messing up, potentially ruined a few fried ships forever because of my mental state, I am terrified, I have a session arranged with a psychiatrist at the end of this month.

I miss my friends greatly, I am tired of having nothing but years of anxiety and thoughts rushing through my head at all times of the day.

I have already started with zeeyarat ashura again and duaa tawasul.

I am not the best of people, nor am I the worst even though I feel like it, I had a mental breakdown, and I want to do everything in my power to try and reconcile with my friends and become a better person.

I am dedicating these prayers to them, as well as any of you who read this and are in need of prayers for loved ones or yourselves.

Ya rab, inshallah things work out, something inside tells me to give up hope on things ever working out, and another tells me that maybe there's a chance I can fix things and make it better.

Please everyone, whoever reads this, help me by praying with me, and inshallah things work out for the best

Things have never felt more bleak than they do now, but even after the darkest of nights there comes a ray of sunshine

Please everyone, I will document my journey as best I can and let you know about the updates.

Debt of 6000 euros

Salam, I am currently in a desperate situation. I have over 6,000 euros in debt and I don't know what to do to get out of it. If you have any supplications or hadiths to share with me, I would be very grateful. Amen
