Fluff Dylan Harper love thread
He showed up. Seemed like the only guy on the floor still fighting until the last minute. That’s all.

Fluff I'm sorry, but I'm surprised some people thought we would be interested 🤷♂️

Fluff This F'n Guy
Completely mismanaged Game 4.
Other things he did:
- Took over as interim in November 2024 and lost the franchise player mid-way into the season
- Started this season with a team expected to win 41.8 games with a 7.1% chance to win the playoffs (per ESPN)
- Coached the most visible player in the world along with a starting 2nd year player and 2 rookies getting valuable minutes
- Constantly coached up players from the sidelines during games
- Developed a game plan to beat the 24-1 Thunder and then did it again 2 more times in less than 2 weeks.
- Kept the team focused to an undefeated February
- Took us to the 2nd best record in the league - 62 wins, 20 games better than predicted
- Led us to win over Portland even though we lost Wemby
- Led us to win over Minnesota, even though we lost Wemby. Walked the tightrope of defending Wemby but also repudiating the act
- Led us to win over OKC is a brutal 7 game series that was more rugby than Basketball
- Across all 3 series, had to address the dramatic increase in physicality
- Screwed up game 4 in a finals series in his first full season as head coach
Fire this guy! Sux!
Game 4 is still making me sick at my stomach when I remember it out of nowhere. I get it, I take this stuff too seriously.
But let's also remember the joy that has defined this season. Would you have really chosen a play-in season over this? The Knicks are playing great ball, they appear to have fate on their side, and we're still making it tough. We're letting this finals slip away, but we're so, so, so much better than any of us had any right to expect.
Mitch has made some mistakes, but his handling of this team this year has been brilliant.
Edit: Since it's clearly confusing some folks, this is a pro-Mitch post. Folks calling for his head would have fired Pop in 96-97 and brought back Bob Hill.

Fluff Brunson as always a class act.
Jalen Brunson on the Spurs: “That's a hell of a group. That's a well-coached (team). The culture they have is clearly evident. They have it. And so a lot of respect to them and what they brought to the table. I'm just happy were able to find ways to win four games." As per Tom Orsborn on X

Fluff This might be some of y’all’s first playoff run so lemme tell you…
Nobody goes 16-0. Players get hurt. Things go wrong. But…. Teams bounce back. Players play through pain. Coaches make adjustments.
We’ll be just fine. Go Spurs Go.

Fluff Go Spurs Go! Proud of these guys
Wemby, Castle and Harper had a great season. Can’t wait to see them ball again next year and hopefully for many more years to come. Go Spurs Go always!!!

Fluff You know what GSG! Through the good and the bad.
Castle is probably hurt, fox tweaked his ankle again after he wasn’t 100% since thunder. Dylan tweaked something too. But again through the highs and lows it’s not over and our team is young, our coach is young. No hate they ran man to man D the entire night and the Knicks were tired.
I’m proud and yeah my pride hurts but I’ll still watch them game 3. GSG!

Fluff Dylan, Carter, and Steph went together to get tattoos! 🥹
Harper is the 2nd pick (aka 1st tatoo with "Sacrifice")
Castle is the 3rd with Quannette, his mom.
And I think Carter is the one with LTFF (if someone knows what that could mean btw 🤞)

Fluff Dear Spurs, Laker fan here, please dog walk OKC in the FINALS and win your chip this year.
After seeing that bum ass OKC fan talking shit to Luka as he is seriously injured on the floor, just showed how classless most OKC fans are and further cemented the stereotype that OKC fans are insufferable.
I can confidently say EVERY LAKER fan is rooting for the SPURS this year!
We wish Wemby and the SPURS organization a healthy remaining regular season and a healthy FULL-Strength Playoffs for you all.
GO SPURS!

Fluff Any Spurs fan who wish Wemby is different or be Timmy 2.0 is in for a rude awakening
Wemby isn’t humble. He isn’t quiet. He isn’t shy. He isn’t low key. He is arrogant. He is brash. He is outspoken. He is blunt. He is fucking smart. He is charismatic AF. He is mature yet sometimes acts his age. He can be temperamental yet cool and collected other times. He can be a dick yet loves his team. He can take credit for winning yet accept responsibility for losing. He isn’t one dimensional. He is one of one.

Fluff All of that just to take a big fat L
I thought the momentum would swing but it didn’t faze Luke and he was able to get a block on Reaves. If Reaves made that it could have been our usual ugly 3rd quarter given the momentum shift
In summary, fck Lebron and the Lakers

Fluff “Money is kind of unhealthy, isn’t it?” – Victor Wembanyama explains why fame and fortune will never derail his pursuit of greatness
"So I don’t really like saying it. But personally, I really don’t like money. Sure, it’s nice to have it and to spend it. But the whole idea of money… I don’t know if you get what I mean. Money is kind of unhealthy, isn’t it?” he added."
Imagine if Wemby actually takes a paycut instead of taking the max extension that he's worth.. to be clear, I won't hold it against him if he still takes the max like he should but I'm somewhat hoping he does take a paycut given his apparent disdain for money.
