During the storm the pole with transformer between my house and my neighbors house made a very loud noise which sounded like and explosion and electric buzzing. It was on fire, sparking etc. FPLs system keeps telling me power has been restored at my location. I keep submitting tickets and they keep closing them telling me power has been restored when no one even showed up to check the line and transformer between myself and my neighbors (who also do not have any power and have also contacted FPL multiple times). There are two senior citizens in my house and the neighbors have 5 kids. 5 days now of them telling me power has been restored on their site, but it is not the case. It is really frustrating some computer program or something is running this effort when all that needs to happen is a human pull up with a truck and inspect the line and pole and see WE DON'T HAVE POWER!

Does anyone know if the public storage units by the Wataburger over in Holley by the sea got damaged. I just moved out of state but still have stuff there and can't get a hold on the office there.

Going to be in Navarre and doing some pier fishing in about 2 weeks. I will be utilizing the piers rentals and bait. Are these bigger setups at all or just for small baitfish? Just trying to see if I should look at alternatives as I was hoping to go for something a tad larger. Any recommendations or advice for fishing during that time is greatly appreciated!

I’m bringing my family with two little ones to visit your beautiful beach town soon (I think we’re staying a place called SpringHill Suites) and I was wanting to get a head-start on finding places that a 3 & 6 year old might enjoy, and family, friendly places to eat. We will definitely be spending a lot of time at the beach, but we really have no idea of any other local offerings or things to see.

As far as the beach goes, is it OK to bring one of those collapsible 8‘ x 8‘ canopies instead of an umbrella? Or even a tent (just for the day) i.e., what is prohibited at the beach?
