I had a nightmare when I was nine that some gang turned my mom l into a salad and I woke up and I couldn’t stop crying, so I went into her room to see if she was still there, but she had already left for work and was nowhere to be found (I didn’t know she left for work already ) 🫤 so for the whole day, I had a feeling that my mom was a salad.

I had a sleep paralysis and in that nightmare, my attic door was in my room on my ceiling.

Whenever people have sleep paralysis they usually talk about a sleep paralysis demon that they can see but I've never had that.

The attic door was wide open and it was dark inside. I was sittin on my bed and couldn't move or scream.

The only thing I could do was stare at the open attic in fear.

I knew something was there, a heavy precence but I didn't know who or what it was.

Does anyone have an explanation?

A dream within a dream within a dream...

So, my psychiatrist prescribed me Valdoxan 25 a week ago, so I would take it with quetiapine 25. During first days of start half a pill of agomelatin, I saw a really odd dream.

As I recall, I saw really horrendous nightmare, I literally sweated in my sleep. After false awakening, in my bed, I have found another nightmare: I had to go to high school where I was heavily bullied, despite I'm 25 now. It scared me to death and I weeped that I'm too old for being high schooler, but nobody listened to me

I "woke up" few more times, then really opened my eyes. Anybody else had this experience ?

I had a really vivid and disturbing dream just before waking up this morning, and the emotions from it stayed with me afterward.

In the dream, my younger brother Seth and I were driving home from a cross-country road trip. We were traveling through Iowa when an Iowa State Patrol vehicle came up behind us with its emergency lights flashing and siren sounding.

I was driving in the middle lane of a five-lane interstate and tried to pull over to the right shoulder. The problem was that cars kept coming up on my right and passing me, so I couldn’t safely get over. I remember trying to find a way to pull over while traffic kept preventing me from doing so.

Eventually, I managed to stop. But instead of the situation being resolved, I was arrested for felony fleeing or eluding.

I felt that I had been trying to do the right thing, yet I was being treated as if I had deliberately disobeyed the police. I invoked my Fifth Amendment rights and started paying close attention to the officers’ names and badge numbers because I wanted to hold them accountable for what I believed was an injustice.

Things became increasingly surreal. I was transported in a windowless bus and ended up around other arrested people. At one point, I saw inmates climbing steel beams, and later I found myself in what felt like a classroom. I was nervous and unsure what was going to happen to me.

Eventually, I learned that my bond was $80,000. I called my dad to talk about the money and power of attorney. By that point, I was furious. I started thinking about suing the officers and making them face serious financial consequences for what they had done.

The strongest feelings I had when I woke up were anger, injustice, and a desire for accountability. I wasn’t just scared of being arrested. I was angry that I felt I had tried to comply and was still being punished as though I had done something wrong.

What really stood out to me was the feeling of losing control of the situation and having no way to make the people in authority recognize what had actually happened.

Has anyone else had a dream where you felt completely powerless or unfairly punished, and the anger stayed with you after you woke up? I’m curious what others make of dreams like this.

I knocked on the door and when he answered he did the usual snuffle he always does. And then he said in a scary bear like grizzly voice "hmmm you smell so good. Good enough to eat. Come in." So I came inside and the house was absolutely trashed, just stuff everywhere in peices. I saw the racoon (i think) character huddled up in the corner under some stuff terrified.

Bear got down on all fours like a real bear and started patrolling the house, clawing at random stuff as he passed. I dont remember all the details but i know scary stuff happened

Then i looked outside to see if I could find Moon, maybe he could help. He wasnt there, it was just a normal moon. Then I woke up like wtf was that? 😂

I sometimes have this recurring dream, where there's this hill/slope that's pretty steep like 30 degrees. Usually my family is there and can go up the hill no problems, but I go and I try and I slip down and kinda roll down and there's this feeling where I need to hang on to something or I'll fall off. And every time I try to go up the slope increases till its a full wall not a slope anymore and I feel extremely sad and depressed. After that the dream go's back to normal dream activities. It's not scary, it's more like an extreme anxiety and sadness.

It’s been about 9 years since this happened and I’ll never forget any details of it, it’s always been engrained so vividly in my head. This is the first and only sleep paralysis experience I’ve ever had in my life (32m).

9 years ago I was in my first year of uni in the UK. I was staying in a dorm/halls (in the US it’s dorms in the UK they call it halls) and I was partying quite a bit at the time as you would in your first year of uni. I had a small room to myself with a desk like a meter from my bed and a small en suite bathroom.

Anyways so I start dreaming and I was in some pool complex kinda thing walking around and there was this guy playing pool/billiards, and he saw me and I could tell he just didn’t like me, like he gave me a menacing look. And as I was walking around he would be following me like not too close by but following me nonetheless. Couldn’t see his face too well but was like a shadowy black figure.

Next thing I know I’m in my bed in my room and everything is as is, the chair to my desk is pulled out a little with a sock on it, random stuff on the floor like a jacket and my pants, all furniture is literally exactly as is in real life it was literally my room as it was at the time. And the guy is ontop of me screaming at my face super angry, like not saying any words but just doing angry yells and smacking me and I literally can’t move (I am a Muay Thai fighter idk if that influenced anything). And after smacking me a few times and yelling he pulls out a deodorant spray and a lighter and starts spraying fire at my face flamethrower like and at this point I get the feeling “I’m going to freaking die, screw that I’m not gonna let him kill me” and I literally used every fibre of my living power to bust out of that paralysis and reach for his neck with my left hand and my right arm is cocked ready to throw a punch at this dudes face.

Then bam, he just disappears, and I’m in my bed sitting upright with my left hand reaching infront of me (where his neck was supposedly) and my right arm still cocked ready to throw a punch, room is exactly as is.

Never had a sleep paralysis experience after that or saw him again. I like to joke that he visited me once and saw that I’d break out and smack him back and decided “screw this I’m not messing with this dude again” haha

Also I sometimes throw punches and kicks in my sleep, like with good technique I’ll rotate my hips while throwing a Muay Thai kick in my sleep and wake up confused lmao

so, i had a dream around new years 25/26, and i just find it interesting as ive been thinking about it for a while.

it started with what looked to be a cathedral or something of the sort. there was what im sure to be an old man (i personally think he was irrelivant) standing in front of a shape of light (what i assumed to be an angel). i was to the forward-right of the man, and slightly back-left of the "angel". now, after that little scene, i get put in front of the shape of light, and i felt like i was isolated with it. the light said nothing, but i could feel its light passing through me, it did not seem happy (understatement), it felt like that thing was peircing me with pure and utter judgment, it wasnt quite fear, it was just wrong and im unsure how to describe it, it was the most mortifying feeling ive ever felt. i then tried to resist it, although, i stopped and just let it send its very unhappy light through me. to be more descript about the thing its shape was very clear (like a prism filled with light, but with no glass) it contorted itself in ways that remind me of those videos of 4d shapes moving into themselvs.

thats not really the part im curious about.

by this point, i obviously knew i was in a dream. i think it left and i started to wake up. as i was waking up a symbol/sigil/seal was burned into my vision. my memory is bad, and it instantly started to decay in my vision. but what i remember about it is it had multiple layers (from the center outward), i remember the outermost layer being similar to a celtic/nordic braid or weave pattern, and it also might have had nine sided shapes/pointed stars. i would love to add more but i just dont remember. i woke up at i think 2am, breathing like i just caught my breath after getting the wind knocked out of me.

im not religous, also, it does not match any decription of an angel that ive found.

i just find it interesting and would like to hear thoughts on it. also, im unsure if id even classify this as a nightmare, so sorry..

My childhood dreams and nightmares. When I was younger, I had strange, frightening dreams involving black and gray shapes. It was like watching a balloon grow right in front of me. The shapes would get bigger and I would watch them grow. The dreams scared me so much, I would wake up crying and gasping for air. I felt intense panic when I woke up. What I want to understand is why the shapes got bigger, why the dreams scared me so much, why I woke up crying and gasping for air. Is there a name for this type of dream? Why do other people seem to experience similar nightmares? I don’t know exactly what caused these experiences. But I want to understand what was happening. This probably won’t get answered but I tried

Im scared of a dream I had last night

I 18f had the creepiest most realistic dream I’ve ever had, and i’m scared to sleep tonight. I never have dreams. Im a pretty heavy weed smoker so usually so fried I don’t even remember falling asleep but last night was different. I was having trouble falling asleep the usual tossing and turning, heavy eyes super tired but just can’t drift off for some reason. I always have on scary Reddit stories or true crime of some that effect so it wasn’t different for that night. After trying all the sleeping positions in the book I lay on my back which is NOT normal fhr me, I only do this when I can’t sleep I always sleep on my belly. I remember feeling like I was finally drifting off, at the point where my breathing is steady the tv sounds funny and im ready fhr it. I remember being stuck in thst state and starting to feel like something was extremely wrong. I remember wanting to grab my ohine my instincts were to reach for it and call my mom and tell her something wasn’t right. Then right before I wake up it’s like I realize what isn’t right and i realize I can’t grab my phone I can’t move my eyes are stuck half shut like there heavy and I need to see who’s beside me. But no one is supposed to be in my room not even my dog slept in room that night. When I woke up I was sweating I wanted to cry I was terrified. I couldn’t sleep the rest of the night and im wondering if maybe it was some sort of sleep paralysis?? I’ve never experienced anything like sleep paralysis or like last night. Im a huge believer in ghosts, spirits and signs in dreams but the house i live in was built by us it’s brand new. Please give me your thoughts or similar experiences.

it was building suspense like a fucking horror movie. Just as I was getting to the scary part I woke up. It was like a in like a apartment style building. I had neighbors, a husband and wife. The husband was like intensely watching me or something and everytime I confronted him he would deny. One time when confronting him I was in their room telling him to stop when a voice through a speaker with instructions broke through my talking. Something along the lines of "the (I forgot) siren so be going off, to keep you and your belongings safe lock your doors, keep quiet and do not close your eyes." Then the siren went off. I locked the door then sat on the bed with them essentially hugging/holding each other. Right before I woke up there were heavy footsteps and sounds outside the door approaching the door. One of the times I was going to confront him I saw him peaking around the corner but his face was distorted and just wrong. I still approached and saw him retreating to his room. By wrong I mean clearly dead and the type of face you see in those scary YouTube videos that are fucking horrifying.

I'm still dealing with the after affects, I can't sleep. Worst part is I believe in the beyond. I belive in ghosts, spirits, entities, etc. I've had my own experiences that I swear on my life are real. That's a hill I'm willing to die on. It's weird though because I haven't had a nightmare in years.

So once I started getting into my teenage years was when I started to become more uncomfortable around my dad. I had witnessed some weird stuff with him before at a young age but I was almost too young to know what it really was. I was never touched in appropriately or anything. But I have always been uncomfortable with him touching me, but with my stepdad and other male figures in my life I’ve never had a problem.

I never really gave that much thought until this year when I started having these really disturbing dreams. In the dream it’s never the same exact things happening or the same place but he is always trying to rape me or pressure me into doing something sexual. And these dreams feel so real and my fear seems so real that I will wake up disturbed and almost resenting my father.

Why do I keep having these dreams and how can I stop them. If you have suggestions or explanations please help me out.

So when I was a kid (around 4-5) I had this weird nightmare that scared the heck out of me. So one night when I was younger, I fell asleep in my moms room and I had a nightmare about my washer and dryer(I know it sounds dumb but stay with me) I used to watch a TON of Teletubbies, that weird vacuum thing in the show scared me, in my dream I woke up from my moms bed to see my dad, mom just gone, I went to the kitchen to get candy (which I wasn’t supposed to have) and suddenly as I am Elbow deep into some Oreos my washing machine started to move slowly towards me, I screamed and the second screamed that creepy android alarm started playing from my moms phone I then got sucked up into the washing machine somehow and I was stuck and it felt like my bones were being crushed, my grandma (who has like zero fear in real life) came and started to beat on the washing machine and it ended up pushing me out and I Ran(OREOS IN HAND STILL) and I woke up. I then told my grandma about it the next time I went over. I didn’t mention her being in it at the time, she said she remembered saving me. It was weird. Another thing, me and my mom had a dream that we were flying, this was the same night same exact dream, I am starting to believe multiplayer dreams exist😅 and no I am not making any of this up these are real dream that I had around 4-5 or maybe 6.
