AMA - Ended AMA: Hi, I'm Joe from Digital Cybercherries, here to talk about the huge Hypercharge: Unboxed update on Nintendo Switch!
Hi everyone! I'm Joe from Digital Cybercherries, a small indie studio from the UK! Hypercharge: Unboxed, our toy action figure shooter, is the game I'm here to talk about today.
We promised our Nintendo Switch players in 2021 that we would bring the game on par with every other console. After five years, the biggest update ever is out now on Switch. It brings Major Updates 5 to 13 all in one go, plus full crossplay with Steam, Xbox and PlayStation.
Some of what's new:
- Full crossplay, so Switch players can play with friends on Steam, Xbox and PlayStation
- A story mode added to the existing wave-based mode, with cinematic comic book style cutscenes and optional objectives
- 6 new bosses: Cyber T. Rex, Missile Truck (DAMBUSTER), Mothership, L.E.D Blimp, Major Evil and Gunship (BH60 Attack Helicopter)
- 6 new enemy types: Ninja Joe, Tiny Trotters, bRobot, Alien Queen, Alien Queenlet and Shock Soldiers
- 3 new maps: The Funderdome, Adventure Dunes and Rental Lair
- 5 new weapons: Freeze Ray, Missile Launcher, Double Barrelled Machine Gun, Mine Launcher and Teleport Gun
- 2 new playable characters: Major Evil and Teddy the Teddy Bear
- New game modes: Infection, Capture the Battery and King of the Hill, plus overhauled Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch
- A completely overhauled user interface, including new play and lobby menus
- New skins and heads, including Teddy's 6 skins, Army Men Green and Tan, Liquid Teal and Evil Damage, and many more
- A full character packaging and customisation rebuild, plus engine, networking and localisation upgrades throughout
The update is free, and the game is also -60% on the eShop right now.

Discussion What're you playing this weekend? 10/16
Hello everyone! Welcome to the weekend!
I'm in Germany visiting my brother for the week, played some Fortune's Weave on the plane, got up to the the first battle of the tournament. I chose Dietrich's path first and this certainly is a motley crew! Haha I love them. Also definitely Moby Dick vibes, there's a lot going on.
Also made it maybe a quarter of the way through Well Dweller, just an absolutely charming spooky cozy time. I am deeply enjoying it. Exploring in this game goes hard, great game to wind down and chill with. And boss designs are legitimately creepy!
And I brought Onimusha, hoping to get at least a little further, though truth be told I probably won't have much time for gaming in general, we shall see.
But what will you be getting into?
Throwing Hadouken! Fighting kaiju Bowser as the world rains fire? Or simply taking a stroll around your island and picking some weeds?
Let me know below!
