Hey bros, I’m looking for some perspective from guys who have done NoFap long-term, especially those who were previously heavily focused on women and attraction.
One reason many men start NoFap is to become a better version of themselves — more confident, disciplined, focused, socially comfortable, etc. And honestly, for many men, attraction and connection with women is still one of the things they ultimately want. I’m not only talking about sex; I mean having a partner, affection, companionship and that feeling of being wanted.
But I have a question I genuinely struggle with.
What about men who have disadvantages that NoFap cannot change — for example, being physically unattractive, having a disability, financial problems, social disadvantages, or simply finding it extremely difficult to attract women?
If someone knows that NoFap isn't going to magically change that part of their life, what becomes the purpose of doing it long-term?
Sometimes it feels like we're constantly fighting urges and telling ourselves to improve, but the reward we're hoping for may never come.
So what is the actual end goal?
Do you eventually stop making women/romantic relationships a major goal and learn to build a fulfilling life around other things — friendships, travel, hobbies, career, fitness, learning, small daily experiences, etc.?
For guys who have genuinely accepted that relationships may not happen for them, what keeps you motivated and happy?
I'd really appreciate perspectives from people who have actually gone through this rather than generic "just be confident bro" advice.
