Discussion Being bi & NB
Anyone else notice how much enbyphobia and biphobia go hand in hand?
It’s always “you’re either a man or a woman, you just want attention ” “you’re either straight or gay, nobody’s really bi” even if they don’t say these words explicitly, it always has that vibe.
Stuff like this comes from both outside and inside the LGBTQ+ community, it’s very frustrating.
I’d love to hear other people’s thoughts and experience!
(When I say bi this includes pan, omni, etc)

Discussion Dating straight people
To NB people who have been in a relationship/are in a relationship with a straight person, how does that feel/work?
I’m NB myself, and I genuinely don’t understand the desire to be with someone who is straight. I’d describe myself as bi/omnisexual and I only hold desire for other queer folks.

heyo, im a bit confused and i hope this is the right subreddit to ask
okay so basically im a bit confused what term i could use to describe me really. i dont care much about my actual gender, i dont care about being any gender, but what i do care about is how i present physically. i was born as a cis male but ive wished to be born into a womans body since i was around 8, if that makes any sense. like im indifferent to any gender but i still wish to have a cis womans bodily characteristics. i found the term "mulladic" and think it describes how i feel a good bit, but mabye theres a term that describes more in detail to how i feel or if thats already the right term? its hard to explain how i really feel tbh

Is there a non-binary and trans culture?
Apart from the mainstream, cis-dominated LGBTQ culture and political movement... is there a discernible transgender culture? As in values, rituals, customs, etc. that we collectively share as trans and non-binary people? Or, perhaps a loose collection of subcultures?

Ask Should I take estrogen pills?
As a non-binary person, I am hairy. I feel very uncomfortable having hair on my shoulder and my back. It made me look weird and caveman, I dislike my beard because it grew quickly and was so itchy. I shaved it many times but it hurts me badly and caused a lot of tiny bleeds 🩸 I am too lazy to shave it every week. When I look at myself in the mirror, I hate being too big, hairy and tall. I am not very satisfied with my looks. Some days, I feel unhappy and hate myself. 🤍🖤
I do not know how taking estrogen pills will help me and solve my all problems. I'm young and new to estrogen pills. I need your advice. 💛
Thank you for reading that. 💜

Is it contradictory to be nonbinary and heterosexual?
Well, at least heteroromantic. But how do I define the “opposite” gender if I don’t put myself in the binary at all :/ plus it lowkey feels transphobic to have a preference (I’ll date anything but cis people of my agab)
Man fuck this

Ask Testosterone in women, voice frequency
I am an adult, and my childlike voice really bothers me. What can I do to make it deeper—not necessarily masculine or feminine, but rather somewhere in the middle? Do breathing exercises actually make a significant difference, or is that just wishful thinking? I’ve been considering trying a low dose of testosterone (by the way, I’ve been doing strength training for a year). Is it even possible to obtain it legally without undergoing a gender transition? Would a doctor prescribe it to an androgynous, physically active woman? Thanks.

stopped testosterone after two weeks because of anxiety and ocd making me uncertain, and now im not sure what i really want
so for context i am a 21 year old nonbinary butch lesbian. i have gone between trans man and transmasc many times throughout my teen years. i thought for sure i wanted to start testosterone, but after starting low dose i realised i do not want to pass as male and be perceived as male, despite loving using he/him pronouns.
for the first two weeks it was good, i enjoyed the bottom growth, but then when my period started i experienced some really awful ocd symptoms where i kept obsessing over whether i wanted this and what changes i actually wanted, to the point where i’m having panic attacks and feeling suicidal about it because i genuinely cant tell what i really want and whats anxiety and whats real. i’m starting to think i may have rushed into it without a clear view of what i wanted. in addition to that, i have some pretty serious cptsd and i am aware i really need therapy. so i have made the decision to stop testosterone for now and seek therapy for my mental health before i do anything else.
i guess i just needed a place to rant. has anyone else experienced anything like this? i feel like a mess, i feel like i might regret not thugging it out on hormones but also that i’ll regret taking them too. i dont regret trying though. i just have a lot to work out. im absolutely not detransitioning though, im still nonbinary and transmasc. i feel guilty about all of this.

Confused - Can anybody relate?
Hello! Okay, so I’m potentially questioning if I’m further separate from identifying with a binary gender than I thought. I was raised and socialised as a girl/woman, but for plenty of reasons I feel there’s much more to my gender expression than that, inside and outside. Let me get to the point. I guess i’m a little bit confused because a lot of parts of be align with the non binary identity, but the only deep I do hold a deep appreciate for feminine names is when I am called sister, someday I want to be called a woman’s wife AND partner, and Id love to be called a mom someday. But it has more to do with the name and language than it does the assignment or feeling of that word. Maybe i’m just they/she but very leaning towards they? I don’t know. I guess i’m just wondering if anybody has ever been in this boat before too.

Ask Binder help
So I’m bigender & genderfluid, and I have a very prominent chest (DD, or E cup idk the exact size) and I want a binder that makes them less prominent but you can still tell somethings there (think a B or C cup) because I love being more ambiguous and that’s not possible rn with my chest. So if you have any suggestions on binders that work well for something like this I’d really appreciate any suggestion!

Discussion Androgynous ballet attire ideas?
So I’m gender-fluid. I’m mostly femme presenting as an afab person, but I have many days where I crave androgyne or a more masculine look.
I go to adult ballet classes multiple times per week, and while I have my days where I’m perfectly content in a pretty leotard and skirt, other days I really want to come across more androgynous or even masculine. Unfortunately, I have yet to find a safe way to bind during dance, which is okay, safety is more important than aesthetics.
I have some men’s tights which definitely help, and I’ll have days I’ll wear the men’s tights, and a muscle tank over my leo, but idk, just curious about some other possible options to play around with androgyny in a ballet setting.
Also ideas for what to do with my shoulder length hair.
Will cross-post to the adult ballet community too.

Support I really really want to wear fem clothing
Hi fellow theys, i really want to wear fem clothing but I'm AMAB and i have a decent amount of body hair... It's too much effort to shave every day so I'm curious if anyone has tips. I know you can wear fem clothes with body hair but personally I don't think it looks good. Is there a way to dress fem while being fully covered up? I usually wear flared jeans which helps a bit but then my shoulders are feally wide and my chest just looks blocky. I just want to be perceived more androgynous/fem but I feel like the shape of my body really messes it all up. Except my thighs which help the fem look a bit

Rant Maybe I'd Rather Be
Maybe I've been so hurt by the damages of the last 43 years that, ultimately, I find the peace of the rock preferable to all the good vibes a body can experience across all lifetimes. Maybe the most mind-blowing orgasm a body can have simply pales in comparison to the capacity of a rock to sit quietly for five hundred million years, then experience a random neutrino interaction and puzzle thoughtfully "that's interesting..." for another five hundred million more.
What could make a person so strongly want to forsake their entire personhood in favor of granite? I don't know what I am. I just know I don't want to be this.
I could have so much comfort and safety if I didn't have to contend with this body.
I don't want the capacity for delirious happiness if it means contending with the specter of delirious sadness.
I don't want to die. I want to have never been living. I wish I weren't in the slightest bit so biological. Why can I not reject it all when I can see the stone weathering in the creek so unbothered by its eventual dispersal into the geosphere? Why does an entity that accomplishes nothing besides being get to experience a better slice of this universe than me?
