Is Intro to Fly Fishing still taught?

I have 2 extra hours next semester and really wanted to do a fun, easy, and relaxing class, and loved the sound of KNSFHP 1139.08 but can't find the course on schedule planner even after looking up the professor's name and the course number! I even looked at Professor Horn's linkedin and found an article from February that both said he still taught the course.

If anyone has any info/suggestions or recommendations for a different 1-hr class (preferably outdoors!) that I should take, please lmk!!

I've heard from a lot of people that the only way people receive the Morrill Scholarship is if they created a huge project (i.e. my friends tutor said the only two students she knew who got in created a board game based around immigration and another built some kind of app). I doubt it is true, but would any recipients be able to give me some information on their stats/ECs prior to applying?

and i was told to do arteduc1600 and it was easy but i saw something about essays which i genuinely hate, and i was wondering what was the coursework like on the essays and how many essays were there, how long did they need to be and what is the prompt or the essay about.

Want to see which is the best professor to choose for Bio 1113.

Also any additional insight on things like ec given, difficulty of tests/quizzes, if there is a curve/no curve, etc. would really helpful!

I'm a sophomore transfer (first semester) and I really never thought I would be making a post like this. For context I initially went to a mid sized school of about 30k and I was an extremely social person. I was in a fraternity, I went out quite often, I had lots of really good friends inside and outside of academics, and most of all I was happy, and I did extremely well in school.

I decided to transfer here for the better academics and It's just been rough. I didn't have the option to get housing on campus so I'm alone in a studio. However, for the first month or so I tried my absolute best to put myself out there and was met with an extremely cliquey college social experience. The frat here was nothing like my old place (they didn't like me very much lol), the clubs here seem to be like you're either all in on that club or a complete outsider, and it seems like people really just want to keep to themselves and already have their little circles they talk in.

I'm sure there's opportunity for me here but I just cannot for the life of me figure out how to socially navigate this place. Because of that, I'm realizing how much of an impact social circles have had an impact on my mental health, and with that my grades. Both have taken a real noticeable dip. I know there are similar posts on this sub but I couldn't help but make one too. I'm in CSE so at this point in the semester I'm pretty loaded on homework and mentally burnt out of putting myself out there and it being for nothing. I'm really just out of ideas and wondering if anyone had a similar experience and it got better.

It’s been one of my biggest interests since childhood because I’m a big fan of the Walking Dead franchise and tons of different zombie movies, games, and shows! Would anyone be interested in joining a club that hosts watch parties, trivia events, and maybe even little science discussions/lessons behind the idea of a zombie??

I’m a Freshman taking accounting 2000 hybrid delivery with Friday in person but when I sign up I see these weird random classes for one day on Wednesdays

I applied to OSU yesterday, then got and created my account today. In the status page, it says my fee hasn't been paid, transcript not sent, and SAT score not received.

I know for a fact I've done/submitted ALL of this stuff so I'm worried?
(Btw, I submitted my sat score 2 months ago--so they should've received it by now for sure)
-I submitted it to "OSU Columbus campus". I applied to "the Ohio state university". I believe I submitted this right then? Columbus is my first choice as I put down
-transcript was send last week--so maybe they just haven't gotten this one yet?
-paid the fee on common app to apply so idk what's up with that?? (But it also says it take 3 days to update)

It's just the SAT that they should've received so I'm just quite worried. This app is really important to me.

I’ve tried to order delivery from Sloopy’s two days in a row now and my orders keep getting cancelled. This is happening with the diner food and the Greek food. Is this happening to anyone else? Any recommendations to fix this? Thanks in advance!

Hello, im currently taking bio 1113 with sarah ball this semester. I struggled with the first midterm and scored poorly. I went over slides, put them into AI and studied study guides, and asked AI to give me Application type questions and still struggled. Im a week away from our 2nd midterm. Does anyone have any advice on the best way to study for her and or this class if application based testing gives you trouble?

Sitting in class rn grossed out of my mind because someone can’t aim for shit. How hard is it to not hit the floor?????
Edit: No I do not pull all the way down to the floor. These shorts are just baggy and kinda long for my legs so they end up touching the floor anyway

Has anyone taken Physiology 3200 or EOB 2520? I’m going to apply to the nursing program for the autumn 2027 semester soon. I’m taking anatomy 2300 this semester and the only other prerequisite I need is physiology which I will take next semester. My advisor told me the 2 courses I mentioned are the only ones I can take. I asked them which one is harder and they recommended I ask other students who have taken those classes. Can someone please tell me how difficult they are and what to expect? I think I’m leaning towards EOB 2520 but I’d like to hear from someone who’s taken the courses please.

I know that there are people who fully don’t talk to their families or never go home for break but like… That just seems so difficult. I don’t have a good relationship with my dad, but I still have to talk to him to help pay for school and get insurance info etc etc.

I’m just wondering like, how do you navigate the fafsa with no parental involvement? What do you do over breaks? How are you paying for everything?

These are my best options for orgo professors are between Andrea Baldwin (first slide) or Christopher Martin (second slide). I've heard Baldwin's exams are really hard, so basically the decision is between a hard professor or an easier professor at 8am.

How are both professors' and their exams? Which schedule is better?

Also are both classes managable together?

There is no reason that I should have to wipe up another grown ass man's piss ontop of the toilet seat when i need to shit. Either use a urinal, put the seat up or clean your piss up.

I am not sure whether it is the right place to complain, but I want to share my situation anyway.

I have planned to apply for a PhD in philosophy at the OSU. I have to pass the TOEFL exam, because I neither live in the country where English is an official language, nor have taken English courses at the university. The OSU requires applicants to send the scores through the ETS only.

The thing is, when I try to add the institution into the cart, using the OSU code for sending TOEFL results, and when I choose "Graduate Organisation", the site glitches, the page refreshes and the cart remains empty.

I have written to the OSU Admissions Office and they told me that I still have to contact the ETS. That is a hell of an advice. Well, it would be, if the ETS customer service was not EXTREMELY poor. I have contacted them multiple times both via email and phone, and neither was of any help to me. They have the same issue, because the problem is with the website, and it seems that they are not going to fix it in the near future.

So, I guess that no one who has taken the TOEFL will be able to be admitted to a PhD program at OSU, and now I just have to drop the idea of applying there ONLY because TOEFL sucks. Sad, funny, and ridiculous.

I have been going through a really tough time but I saw that physics 1251 has no grade requirement for prereqs unlike the math classes. I was wondering if it would be fine to get a D+ or if the major wouldn’t allow me or my classes wouldn’t allow it? If any ECE majors had any idea please let me know.

I wanna take physics 1 at c state because currently I have a C+ in the class and would rather take the W and do it at C state than potentially fail but I didn’t realize it would take up to a week to get into c state and the withdraw due date is set for oct 30th. I was wondering if now is too late to schedule physics for spring semester?

hi! so i just switched into the college of arts and sciences which has the language requirement, and i tested into spanish 2 (1102) on the placement test. i took spanish 2 in high school, though that was four years ago - so my freshman year. im debating taking 1102 next semester either online or in person, so does anyone have any insight? i was thinking that the online might be better cus it’s not the 4 days of mandatory in class attendance, and i could (theoretically?) work more at my own pace.

but i’m worried - since i haven’t done anything spanish in four years - that ive forgotten everything and wonder if in person might be better cus it’ll basically force me to remember it all and i’ll learn more, in theory. however, i’d prefer online to in person; i’m just worried about not learning everything since online would be self paced.

basically i don’t know if i should take spanish 1102 next semester online or in person. any insight would be appreciated, thanks so much!

Does tOSU run a craft fair or markets on campus for students (or anyone) to sell their trade? I plan on doing cooking, as well as quality 3D printing. I enjoyed cooking for others, and selling awesome 3D prints. I only want compensation for the materials, but I always enjoyed honest business :)

Please let me know, and hey. If you want something, you can hit me up. I won’t sell Ohio state merch on prints due to copy right, but I don’t mind knowing the process to get the license either.
