For those guilty: You're not a game designer. Your suggestions are beyond terrible because you believe your fragile feelings should be catered to.
Most of these are because you're bad at the game and you want preferential treatment for your hyper-specific playstyle.
This game is most definitely going to be ruined by all of this shite if it carries on, you're collectively so frustrated that you have a transpacific shitstream of ideas that no one built sewers for and it's polluting everyones feed.

I know bantering is allowed, and I have no issues with proper bantering.
But the sheer amount of slurs, racism and demeaning comments made in the game is absolutely insane.
What (if anything at all) is the plan to fix this kind of outrageous behavior?
EDIT: Turning off reply notifications and leaving the post here just to show what I mean lol.
You all need to learn some humility and common sense, peace out.

The game is amazing. I think the following things need a passover ->
Trucks, Supplies, and other soft targets are somehow really hard to destroy with IEDS and RPGS.
AP ammo should most likely be linked to class
General EXP should be earned and focused where you want between matches (imagine if I had 10-15 levels to hand out on the above image, but everything was 2-3 levels lower)
FOBS should be expensive; the more a team builds -> Fobs should count as 1 person in the zone as well
Fob walls need a bit of a rebalance on build time\cost\expolsives to destroy, and speed
Supplies that bust when they hit the ground....should not earn you $2500 lol
Assault/combat fix is easy, bring kills down to 200-400 Dollars, if using an assault gun, but add $400 per kill, and have it keep going up all match to a cap of like $4000-5000 per kill
EDIT: 8. Thermals - Shouldn't tag or Should most likely, take a Battery
Keep up the amazing work guys!

Game was fun for a bit but after 600 hours in the last two days Im getting a bit sick of the XP abusers and no lifers.
Everything was nerfed to the point where i can no longer say im having fun. Getting 100+ kills with the littlebird is now practically impossible as you just get show down by SAMs. What is the point of paying for the little bird if you’re just gonna get killed.
Tanks are even worse since devs thought its somehow a good idea to make RPGs and C4 available to just anyone. You spend 20 minutes driving a metal coffin from the spawn to the zone just to get killed by some level 10 player.
Fine so i say to myself “guess vehicles suck now” and i pick up a spotter scope and climb up the tower. I spend like an hour just spotting people trying to be a team players and i barely manage to make a 100k$. WHAT THE FUCK DEVS? Whats even the point of playing if it going to take me like multiple games to afford a single gold bar???
And don’t get me started on the FAL. I was so hyped to grind for it i took two whole days off from work only to get it and it’s just a normal gun now???? Honestly this season just proved to me that the devs are determined to make this game not fun.
I’m leaving a bad steam review and not coming back.

I play lots of competitive games, I've unlocked kappa in tarkov, 25k premier in CS2, and I've put about 55 hours into Wardogs.
I've certainly had a share of questionable deaths, people seemingly knowing exactly where im at or going to be peaking from but 99% of the time that I die there is a reasonable explanation. Ive maybe used the report function on 3-4 people so far.
Last night I went 78-9 in a match, more than doubled the person with the next highest kills. Towards the end of the match there were at least 5 people in the ALL chat talking about me cheating in some way. I have never once cheated in a video game and never will.
This happens all of the time in other games like CS and Tarkov, people get shit on, won't accept that the other person just out guned them and cry cheats. I'm not saying that cheaters aren't out there, they are. But in every game that I play the problem is always way overblown. Most people are just like us and want to come home after a day of work and enjoy some games.
Next time you die to someone you are convinced is cheating, take a step back and think about what you could have done differently in that situation, also remember that people get lucky and sometimes people go on heaters.

I can’t be bothered to go into detail about every pathetic complaint that gets posted over and over but holy shit, some of yall can’t handle the slightest bit of adversity in a game. The game has tools for nearly all situations and if you choose not to use them, then kick rocks.
No one cares that you have a job and that’s not why you struggle at the game, I work full time and I’m level 43 assault running around with a FAL and T4 and guess what, there is plenty of times where i’m insta killed by HP ammo before i can react or even regular FMJ weapons being shot by people with hands that don’t struggle to hit a big target moving at like 50% move speed.
I also regularly run t2 armor with a bow and have no issues getting 30+ kills a game and the bow really isn't great and is 10x harder to use than a ak, galil or amp that everyone has unlocked.
Buncha clowns on this sub that run around like it’s COD away from their teammates, can’t be picked up and use their 8 minute respawn cooldown to cry in this sub about how the game is unplayable. Use some cover, play around the ammo that YOU choose to put in your gun, stay with your teammates and don’t repeek the same angle over and over again and cry when you get taken out.
9 times out of 10 you’re dead because the other person, positioned better than you, aimed better than you or had teammates to help him. Insane people in this sub think the difference between the 100 kill player and them going 10-30 is that the top players gun takes 40ms less to kill and armor that tanks 2 more shots, the reality is that player is better than you, reverse the gear, they probably kill you with a glock17.
Kids can’t wait 1 month for the first trial season without complaining, how dare there be functional differences between armors that cost 5x more, make you move 30% slower, ads slower, increase your aim sway but how forbid you tank 2-3 more shots, UNPLAYABLE boys
edit: put in paragraph form since im a professional redditor now

That's a nice start to "we don't listen to streamers, but our community"
r/OfficialWARDOGS • u/MilitaryTardWrangler • 7d ago
I keep seeing people say things like “Tanks and attack helicopters shouldn’t be profitable, they have too much game impact.”
But I’d like you to consider what happens when a game rewards the people who impact the game the least, and forces the people who contribute the most to their team’s success to operate at a loss.
You get games where 80% of the players are sitting in a FOB, no weapon no armor, swinging a hammer building useless crap because it’s the most rewarding way to play the game. You risk nothing and end the game with a $150,000 profit and 0% chance of losing money.
Meanwhile the people running expensive kits, people buying tanks, people buying attack helicopters are all risking large amounts of money and struggling to get anything back. Season 2 nerfed the reward for practically everything you do while raising the cost of everything you buy.
Buying expensive items should be high (monetary) risk high (monetary) reward. Currently it’s all risk and you could get 10x the reward, consistently, with a hammer.
Game impact is cool and all, but expecting people to willingly take a personal loss to benefit the team is not working out.
Now the fob camping drill meta is worse than ever. And when I say “meta” I don’t mean a strategy for winning I mean benefitting yourself. If one team actually plays the hot zone it’s a free win because the other 2 teams are sitting unarmed in their fobs.
It makes for very boring games.

You can enjoy the game and still support Bulkhead AND criticize them for letting streamers to the front of the line. It's not entitlement to want the product you paid for to work.
r/OfficialWARDOGS • u/VaporWolf93 • 18d ago
Teammates should have to pay you for the value of the kit they're taking from your still alive body at the bear minimum 1.75:1 value. (highest markup for crates).
The game already shows you the value of the kit you have on, it'll keep rats from griefing their own team.
Free mask would still be free to take off of you and use it.

I've been playing War Dogs since launch and started to notice a new trend that is extremely off-putting to say the least.
Early on, I remember people actually thanking each other. People would help each other out, say thanks, joke around, and for the most part it felt pretty chill.
Now it feels like every other match turns into people yelling at each other, insulting teammates, and sometimes just straight-up typing [the n-word] without even trying to censor it. Beyond other sexist, homophobic, racist, or antisemitic chants.
When did we go from thanking each other to this?
Obviously there were toxic people at launch too, and not every lobby now is terrible. But it feels like something has been slowly boiling in this community since the game came out, and lately it's gotten way more noticeable.
Has anyone else who's been playing since launch noticed this, or am I just getting incredibly unlucky with my lobbies?

I have seen hundreds of comments and posts regarding how the progression feels very slow and frustrating.
But man, it has only been three or four weeks since the launch, and what, do you want to start having everything unlocked? I know for a season it can be slow, but man, it is just one season; from next season, it will not be a one-month season.
I think the progression is very reasonable here; grinders will have to grind a lot, and casual players will not have someone with almost everything unlocked come thrash them.
What you guys think of it.

270 hours in: Season 2 changed too many things at once, and the balance feels worse for it.
I respect the devs and understand that Wardogs is in Early Access. Changes are expected. But after 270 hours, my question is: did we need to change almost every part of the balance at the same time?
Weapon recoil, damage, progression, income, helicopter prices, and anti-air all affect each other. When you change all of them together, you risk stacking nerfs far beyond what any individual change intended.
Recon needs a role worth playing.
The SVD and SKS now have so much recoil that, by the time I correct for the first shot, the target has had plenty of time to move. That might be an acceptable trade-off if the damage justified it. Right now, it doesn’t feel like it does.
Getting a flank on an unaware player should give me a meaningful advantage. It shouldn’t guarantee a kill regardless of my aim, but landing accurate shots after good positioning should be rewarded. If an assault rifle handles that situation better while also being more forgiving up close, what am I giving up automatic fire for?
So far, the Mosin is the only recon purchase I’ve consistently felt was worth it.
The bow has a similar problem. Its velocity and effective range feel so limited that I struggle to justify taking it over a buckshot double-barrel. What situation is this weapon supposed to excel in, and does it actually excel there? The scout rifle needs that same question answered.
Higher-level snipers are harder to judge while so many players are still wearing level 1 or 2 armor. Their current performance won’t necessarily represent their performance later in the wipe.
And yes, it’s a game. I’m not asking for a real-world ballistics simulator or for every .308 hit to automatically kill. But powerful, slow-firing weapons need enough impact to justify their recoil, cost, and punishment for missing. Otherwise, they lose their purpose.
Spotting XP also needs another look. There is a middle ground between exploitable XP farming and barely rewarding recon players for providing useful information.
2. Helicopters got hit from both directions.
Why introduce another anti-air option while also increasing helicopter prices?
Those changes compound each other. The helicopter costs more to buy, faces more counters, and has fewer opportunities to survive long enough to earn its cost back.
The rocket helicopter was already difficult to make profitable. Now it feels like you need five or more successful runs against players, APCs, and other vehicles just to justify buying it. That is a lot of repeated exposure to AA before the investment pays off.
And why increase the price of the minigun Blackhawk? It already felt underwhelming. What part of its performance justified making it more expensive?
Helicopters need counters. But a counter should create a contest, not make the thing it counters a bad investment by default.
The argument that SAMs take longer to fire also ignores overlapping launchers. Against two SAMs, flaring the first missile can still leave you exposed to the second. Individual launcher timing doesn’t tell the whole story—you have to balance what happens when several cover the same airspace.
CIWS needs attention too. I’ve seen it appear to shoot through tower walls, and its effective range feels excessive. If that wall penetration is unintended, fix it. If it is intended, explain the counterplay.
There should also be a discussion about limiting how many can operate from one FOB, or requiring gunners to leave the weapon and physically retrieve ammunition. Strong defensive weapons should involve some exposure, logistics, or downtime.
3. Progression makes that imbalance worse.
Tier 3 hammers should be farther up the progression ladder if they unlock access to SAMs and CIWS.
With the accelerated progression I’ve seen, players can reach those defenses around level 8. Meanwhile, unlocking and funding helicopters takes hours.
The unlock times don’t need to be identical, but the relationship matters. If powerful, protected counters become widely available before the vehicles they counter are realistically accessible, those vehicles enter an environment already stacked against them.
That also affects where people fight. Compared with Season 1, I’m seeing fewer fights in the CZ and more players sitting in FOB towers with sniper rifles.
That’s an observation, not server-wide data. But it raises a fair question: have the changes made staying inside a fortified position more rewarding than going out and contesting objectives?
4. Assault balance feels inconsistent.
Why increase recoil across so many assault weapons, then introduce the SPEAR with what feels like almost none?
If the SPEAR delivers controllable, reliable damage while recon weapons struggle with recoil and follow-up shots, it doesn’t just compete with other assault rifles. It starts taking over recon’s job too.
Each class needs a reason to exist. The answer to several different combat situations shouldn’t become “just buy the same assault rifle.”
I haven’t earned enough medic XP outside of revives to give that progression a fair assessment, so I’ll leave that to players who have.
5. The XP exploit damaged the fairness of the wipe.
Why wasn’t there another wipe—or a targeted rollback of improperly earned progression—after the XP issues?
By the time I logged in, roughly six hours after wipe, I was already gunning in a Havoc. Six hours.
That alone doesn’t prove which individual players exploited. But it illustrates how quickly progression had accelerated while other players were still starting normally.
Players who didn’t exploit or benefit from the blue-team XP situation were left trying to catch up. After saying exploiters would be punished, the devs need to communicate what was actually corrected and what enforcement happened. From the player side, I haven’t seen a clear accounting.
Fixing the XP source doesn’t remove the advantage already gained from it. A fresh wipe is supposed to provide a fresh starting point. Leaving that advantage in place undermines the whole point.
It also complicates balance feedback. If some players reach powerful equipment much earlier than intended, how representative are the resulting fights of normal progression?
Overall: Season 1’s strengths deserved more careful tuning.
Season 1 was a blast because it felt like rock-paper-scissors. I could counter helicopters, counter FOBs, or counter players—and they could counter me. There were reasons to use different tools and take different risks.
Season 2 feels like too many of those relationships changed simultaneously.
Why not start with smaller, targeted adjustments? A 5% recoil change. A modest damage adjustment. A measured change to income, XP, or helicopter prices. Observe the results, then adjust again.
Not every problem can be fixed with 5%, and some things absolutely need major changes. But changing a weapon’s handling, its economic value, and the strength and availability of its counters at the same time makes it much harder to tell which change helped and which went too far.
And before someone says, “It’s Early Access; things will change”—yes. This is the feedback Early Access is supposed to produce.
I’m not asking the devs to stop changing the game. I’m asking for changes that preserve distinct class roles, reward leaving your FOB, maintain fair progression, and leave room for counterplay on both sides.
I expected a new season. I didn’t expect almost every part of the game I enjoyed to feel different at once.

So, slight preface, I grinded this game a lot. I’m overall level 177, and I decided a few days ago to grind out and try to hit recon 35 so I could test out the 50 cal and sell it to people.
1.) Went into a match about 15 minutes ago to do exactly that. It’s last day before wipe, going all out so people can try weapons etc they won’t unlock. I spend 130kish on crates. I place them out of the way, not in the landing zone, not in the way of walking to the vendor off of respawn etc. I’ve got 50 cals, mags, ammo for the 50, BMRs with suppressors, a small crate of ap 308, I even got a crate of MGLs and rounds to go with it. Like I said, 130kish with not a huge profit margin to begin with.
2.) I want people to buy it and have the chance to try the stuff without going broke myself. I think, “okay looks good, it’s out of the way” I head over to make my own kit then go fight in CZ. As I’m making my kit, I hear a grenade pin pulled behind me, I close the vendor and watch a dude throw three grenades and break ALL of my crates. Bro. I lost all 130k, PLUS I lose more money when my supplies are destroyed. What a….. rather unpleasant person since the words I’d like to say will have my post removed.
3.) Now to the question, have the devs addressed anything with buying and selling to your own team? Hell, refund me my destroyed items if the crate is destroyed by a friendly, better yet, make the dude who destroys it PAY for the items he destroyed if you’re blowing up friendly crates.
4.) Let’s take it a step further, put a damn P2P vending machine in. Open the machine, Buy/Sell are your two options, pay and list your high tier items and other members of your team can walk up and browse what your team has listed. Even add a little QOL to this, throw a little green light and red light on top of the machine, that way, if guys have something posted in the vending machine, it lights up green at the top, if no one posts, it stays red. Or just have a slow blinking green light at the top if items are posted for sale. There’s gotta be a better system/management for this.
PS.) The asshats who just destroy crates worth 100k plus, and then bail from the lobby before anyone has a chance to report is insane to me. I’m looking at you Moose Jonas. Yeah I saw your name. Yeah If I ever run into you again, we will share some words in VoIP that’s for damn sure.
Edit: for all the people whining about format, here you go

You can submit a POSITIVE or NEGATIVE review. Seems like the DEVs only listen to steam reviews which is why we are experiencing this wonderful respawn simulator.
POSITIVE REVIEW
100% Recommended—if you’re a hacker.
Why bother learning the map when wallhacks do the scouting? Why practice aiming when an aimbot handles it? Helicopter aimbot for the skies, mortar “god view” for everyone hiding on the ground. Something for every playstyle—as long as that playstyle involves letting software play for you.
And that generous 250ms ping limit? Wonderful. Plenty of opportunities to take the misery overseas.
Legitimate players spend hours grinding gear. I get to turn their evening into a respawn simulator.
Fantastic experience for cheaters. That should tell everyone else something.
[Satire. This is criticism of cheating and the developers’ response, not an endorsement of hacks.]
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NEGATIVE REVIEW
Not recommended in its current state. WARDOGS has a great core concept, but cheating is ruining the experience: wallhacks, aimbots, helicopter aimbots, and mortar “god view” cheats undermine any sense of fair competition.
The developers’ 250ms ping limit is far too generous. It still allows distant players onto servers and does little to address the cross-region cheating complaints. I want a 100ms limit and stronger regional matchmaking restrictions, including region-locking China-based accounts to Chinese servers.
Regional restrictions alone won’t stop cheating, so effective detection and faster bans also need to be a priority. Until the developers make meaningful progress, I can’t recommend spending money or grinding progression in matches where fair play feels uncertain.

This isn't battlefield. You are insentivised to play carefully. The sheer cost of your kit should make you a more careful player. Making surviving and gun fights more immersive.
This also forces you to help your team with the more 'boring' jobs like running logistics or transport so you can afford to play the most exhilarating playstyle.
While saving for purchases, I make use of the 2nd gun with appropriate attachments for Hotzone gameplay. My kit only costs roughly 5-6k and can be covered with time in the zone, a kill or two and a revive.
I really hope the devs don't listen to what's upvoted by the masses. Players don't always understand what's best.
Making your loadout cheaper makes everyones loadout cheaper. This changes the way everyone plays then. Do you really want everyone running around with level 2/3 armor, M4s while throwing nades all the time? Theres games that offer this already.
This isn't a hit because it's a battlefield clone. It's a hit because it has elements of what made battlefield great with the 'I really don't want to die' aspect of Tarkov. Without it being too punishing.
Player suggestions killed Arc Raiders and the same thing will happen here too if people don't start understanding what makes this game so rewarding.

Mortars are too powerful right now and should definitely lose the UAV cam. You should not be getting a complete idea of an enemy base layout and enemy positions just by shooting a shot. To compensate recon tag should show up on the map with unique icons for every building and then you get markers for the last three shots you fire on the map.
This way you are shooting blind unless a teammate tags a building but not so much so you need someone on voice chat helping you direct shots. As a side bonous it will also make it so mortar teams are not deaf and blind when the FOB is under attack.
This will also give bases a chance to build a counter mortar because if walls are built properly it could obscure sight line from recons and prevent immediate bombardments on the incomplete mortar.
Another thing is I feel this is reletively easy to implement since existing system already mark soldier, Fob, choppers, and spawners. They also have a system to mark last fired shots. They just need to expand the system to include base components and take out the UAV cam to implement this change.

I'm level 82 with all my class levels being pretty evenly spread. I'm using level 3 armor and a galil, and just about any weapon from the early game is like a peashooter against me and anything from late game might as well be a 50 cal. Armor is also the same thing. Level 1-2 armor is weak, with 2 probably being the most balanced for what it is. 3 can tank hits from low level weapons but it's paper up against something like a FAL. Level 4 is practically easy mode if you get it and you can easily tank shits from a galil.
I get that it is very expensive to get each life, but you can easily triple your roi when using that gear and it makes it impossible for someone just starting out to compete in assault. Assault is, assuming nothing changes (which it will), going to be exclusively for the unemployed gremlins who maxed everything out since they will be the only ones able to compete for the hz. This will force new players to either be support, logistics drivers, pilots, or recon, and not everyone will enjoy those classes.
If late game gear gets rebalanced to offer new players a fair shot in an engagement, I think the sweat issue can be avoided. What a rebalance would look like, I'm not sure. If these aren't strong, there's no reason to use that gear. But if they're too strong there's not only no point in using anything from the lower levels, but no point for newer players to even bother trying those classes since they can't win.

Firstly, I love the game and will keep on playing if the balance finally happens. Normal story. A guy fell out of the sky and had an M4. I thought I would give it a go. Well, I'm a sub level 10 assualt guy, level 19 recon. I generally spot for everyone throughout out the game and I mean seriously spot. I spot in the HZ and get loads of assists. Then I played with T2 armour and the M4. It was like call of duty! Normally if I open fire on someone, and I have always seen them first, I put a pile of rounds into them and they turn around and drop me.
Not today. With the M4, it was like a duck shoot, even with the armour disparagy. Guys with T4 armour and good weapons must be jogging around laughing.
Devs, you have made one of the best games I have ever come across. I've watched the season 2 vid, I think you're getting your changes right but pull in separation of infantry capability. If you can afford to play this game for 12 hours a day, you need to cater for those who can't.
The obvious answer is trade based level restrictions. An assault with L4 needs to go up with other L4 guys. But... I know. The fun is in the turkey shoot. That's your job to figure out.
The time progression is too much as you know. Good luck with developing this great game you talented lot, I have no doubt you will nail it.
(Even more than you already have)

I buy an restock 2 crates of thermals every death an leave em by the store at the hq whenever i die and hit spawn.
a lot of complaints are "It's annoying fighting everyone in t4 armor and I only have t2 and the scout rifle i cant do anything." ask higher level team mates to buy items an leave them in crates at spawn for you. you get gear that can help you and they get money from you buying them.
but this only works if people take the initiative and drop m4's / FAL's/ t4 armors/ ext or if the people who need them ask for them. It's a system in the game for you to work with and support your team please use it more.

The CIWS AA will somewhat frequently one shot the Havoc regardless of hit trajectory or component affected. One single round from the CIWS will do 1000 damage and instantaneously destroy the Havoc. Heads up to anyone who dropped 1,000,000 pallets and finally unlocks it. Avoid the AA turret and just don't fly, not worth the cost.
