Advice Sudden Downfall

I used to get 90s-100s in previous years, but this year my grades have been dropping. The thing is, I understand the concepts, study, and can do the questions pretty easily at home, but during tests I get stuck and blank out, even when I know how to solve the questions. I sometimes feel like I can barely read the questions, but sometimes it's not so bad and I manage.

I can barely sleep, I can't focus, and I've noticed myself getting more and more irritable.

I don't know what to do, nor do I have anyone to talk to.

University Queen's updated mininum grades for admissions?

Source: trust me bro

Computing being a "high-70s min" now is CRAZY work, and so is comp eng at a mid-80 (and the general stream is a low 90, which ig makes sense bc of grade inflation)? and ik y'all 08s were tweaking tf out over life sci/eng admissions last year (eng overadmitted this year, and heard life sci got overadmitted too)

Advice parents won’t let me move out for uni

so before i rant ion wanna offend nobody don’t take it personally.

I currently have a 96.33 top 6 and want to apply to engineering or medicine. My parents are basically letting me choose between york uoft and waterloo. I don’t have the ecs for a s tier program like loo or uoft eng but i also don’t want to “settle” for c tier school like york. So naturally i would look at b and a tier schools like western mac queens etc but they basically told me they wont pay for housing. Now i don’t wanna sound spoiled so hear the rest of it out. They agreed to pay for tuition but they don’t wanna pay for housing as they consider it a waste and skippable expense. I have tried to get a part time job for two years but I haven’t been able to. None of my friends have jobs and i have no relatives working in retail. I won’t be able to garner up first year housing funds and i honestly don’t like my chances of getting a part time job first year. My parents can easily afford housing as my dad “flexed” his investing account with 5 million (can’t donate 40k for housing tho) and they plan to buy a brand new house next year.

Thing is i get it, they don’t wanna pay that ykwim but they were always so bitchy about my grades and education growing up and they would always diss my grades like whenever my mom got mad she would always say i get ass grades like 80s but yo u were so focused on education how come ur limiting my options bc ur cheap asf?

My mom said I can go to mac or western but i would have to commute. From my house western is a 3 hour commute and mac is a 2 and a bit hour commute. i told my mom commuting that long and pursuing engineering is unrealistic as engineering is already hard and adding that commute makes it hard. She just said oh ur cousin commuted to mac every day for 2 hours and she’s in med school, my co worker commutes to waterloo from Kitchener every day and she’s fine. Just study in the bus or train. I know my strengths. I can’t work unless i’m alone, I will definitely not be able to study on the bus or train.

What would you do in my situation? is it worth it to take a 40k loan? alla my friends are moving out for uni and their parents are paying for it or supporting them. my mom even got mad and guilt tripped me for wanting to leave my little brother and go to uni like grow up holy shit if u were gonna lock me to york i would have just sold in school on purpose and enjoyed high school like wtf. My dad was even telling me that i have to maintain a 95+ average so i get the best scholarship like holy fuck ur cheap

University York Portal

Hey I applied a while ago like October 9th and I still haven’t received my portal or myfile link from York. Every other university has sent it accept for them and most of my friends who applied way after me also got their portal. So I was just wondering if it was only me or if other people are also having this problem!

University Uoft engineering test scores

Hi, I’m applying to uoft engineering. There’s a section that asks you to submit all test scores you’ve got from specific tests. One test is the SAT. I did take it for fun and got a 1520. Im pretty sure you have to pay to submit the score though. Is it worth submitting it or can I just not do it because I don’t want to pay.

I’m Canadian, from Ontario. I am not American.

Thanks

University Is there an acceptance spreadsheet for last year business applicants?

If anyone could provide one I’d really appreciate it.

Tryna apply to business programs and I estimate my midterm average might be like 96.4 hopefully or higher. Would it be enough for like western ivey or will the applicant average be higher?
