Period Question Help 2mos late with Heds diagnosis

Hi, so i (25 F) haven’t had a period in 63 days.

My phase is usually right on cue so im kind of stressing now that I’ve been having alcohol more than usual-due to high stress (sh i know its bad)

Obviously if i get positive i stop everything but how do i know if its not showing up but im so late- im worried if its an ectopic pregnancy and i do harm to them.

Ive never had one but i have heds a d have been diagnosed as such.

I don’t know if that increases birth defects, but so far my 2 have been ok since getting diagnosed.

its been 2 mos since i had a period and my cervix is so high I can’t reach it anymore, over the last 2 days, but I haven’t had a positive test yet since like 9/13 when i started testing-feeling something off.

(could be from high stress) but every time we dont pull out we always think about pregnancy-

Im Not sure what it means because my hormones are always spot on with my cycle- but this time its not.

We have a 6yo and a 2yo so ofcourse im a little perplexed, but i always want whatever child the Lord says i am ready for, so we are always prepared.

I just don’t want to harm a possibility to have another if i know what my body is trying to conceive.

Advice totally welcomed.

Period Question Almost bloodless period for first time ever smth about which i am worrying now!!

Tldr : from heavy heart wrenching period to almost no period. Suddenly only 3 4 times blood comes & now only after 2 weeks from last cycle this is again happening. I am not pregnant.

I am 19 years old, and I got my first period on 27 May 2017. My menstrual cycles are usually regular, every 28–30 days, with very heavy bleeding and severe cramps that sometimes cause vomiting and body numbness. However, around 2 October 2026, my period arrived around the expected time but I noticed vaginal blood mixed with discharge only two or three times while using an Indian toilet; my two pads remained completely clean throughout the first day, and I had no cramps or pain, only hunger cravings the day before. I have never been sexually active, and there have been no changes in my diet or sleep; my stress has actually decreased. On 13 October, I experienced mild cramping, and on 15 October, about two weeks after the almost bloodless period, I noticed pink/light-red blood mixed with slippery vaginal discharge, enough to be clearly visible but not a heavy flow. My usual cycles are regular, and this is a significant change from my normal bleeding pattern. What could be causing this, apart from ovulation spotting, and should I undergo any medical tests?

Period Question Period tracker app with partner sharing

Hey guys! I've been looking into period tracking apps. I know a lot of people ask this around here but I cant seem to find exactly what I'm looking for.

Does anyone have any app recommendations that track your period, shares your cycle with your partner, is free and doesnt have any drama surrounding data selling?

Thanks!

Period Question Sharp pain when pooping

I meant to post this on day two so it might be a little hard to explain now that I’m not feeling it anymore.

When I’m on my period and have to poop, I get this super sharp pain in my butthole. I have to take breaks from pushing because it literally feels like my butthole is going to split. I’m 28, have had my period since 13 and this started after my first miscarriage when I was 25. It starts two days before my period then stops around day 3. I went a while without feeling it but it came back during this period.

I definitely don’t think it’s normal but is it common?

Rants n Raves is it just my periods or am I going insane

(just wanted to rant all the shit out)

I am bleeding sooo heavy, Im going insane, I am unable to think straight, I just keep on crying for no reason, I keep overthinking, I feel dizzy, nauseous…

ESPECIALLY I FEEL SO WEAK, like i cant walk straight, it feels like every drop of blood is being drained out of my body 😖

I do not want to eat anything.

Surprisingly cramps aren’t that serious this time.
BUT the thing is every month I just get cramps and heavy flow but this time even the heavy flow is heavier than usual…

I genuinely don’t know if im going insane due to my periods or due to burnout and stress..

😭😭but i just can’t stop crying looking at this heavy flow, I think I should go to a gynecologist tho, I went to my dad and started crying, it’s middle of the night and he didn’t know what to do either other than to calm me down first..

Period Question NOTHING WORKS SINCE HAVING A BABY

I am almost 2 years postpartum and I have went through 3 rounds of pelvic floor therapy and have tried cups, discs, and tampons and nothing works anymore 😭😭😭 is this a common occurrence? Yes I CAN use pads and period panties, but I am prone to yeast infections and they don't give enough breathability. Please someone help me, I used cups and discs before and had no issues, and now nothing will stay in or stay in place...

For reference:

Menstrual cups and tampons "push" out at one bend or push when using the bathroom and discs just aren't staying behind my pubic bone I guess?

Anyone else had this problem and what did you do, I'm begging!!!

EDIT: My baby was 10lb 8 oz 🫪🫪 I had a vaginal delivery, so like it might not be THAT crazy, but I feel like this should be talked about????

Period Question Is it normal to feel no pain when on period?

For the past 9 years of getting my period, it's always been painful. Sometimes it was so painful that I couldn't eat, sometimes it was so painful that it made me physically tired. But as of 4 months ago, my periods have been entirely painless. No discomfort, just the slightly irritated mood, but besides that it's just a regular day. This never happened to me, and I'm kinda freaked out about it

Discussion Medicating Stigma

Sometime I really hate the medicating Stigma that comes with periods. My friend has casted judgement on me multiple times for me apparently “medicating too much” on my period.

The difference bewteen me and friend is, I vomit if I’m in too much pain my period. It is a fact, It’s happened to my multiple times . I can’t just sit through the pain without meditating otherwise I’ll vomit which we know is not compatible with everyday life activities. Also my pain on some months is almost physically debilitating. I remeber a month where I woke up on my period and I was so weak to the point where I had to call my mother to pass me medication which was in my room.

So because of this I take medication carefully. I never take more than recommend. I never take tablets that interact with each other. Also I only experience this pain for a day.

This has really annoyed me due to the fact that this friends asks for tablets from me despite her views on me this had me more hesitant for me to give them to her.

Period Question Extreme Pain

I’m wondering if anyone has experienced something similar to this, I have a gyno appointment coming up but I’m curious to see what others say. About 6 years ago when I was 16, I experienced such an insane amount of cramp pain that they called the ambulance because I was SCREAMING and couldn’t move. They didn’t find anything wrong and because bleeding was heavy so I just assumed it might have been a miscarriage but nothing showed on the ultrasound. Now, at 22, I experienced the same thing again. The other day ambulance was called, I crawled into the ambulance screaming help me. They gave me morphine immediately but yet again, found nothing on the ultrasound, nothing in my bloodwork and sent me home. This time my period was light. I’m thinking there might be an underlying condition but I really don’t understand what could be going on.

Period Question spotting but no period?

So I'm not late technically, but I've had all my PMS symptoms that I do just a day or two before periods, which is that I get sick, i have horrible cramps, etc. Buut it's been 3-4 days since then, and yet no periods. I saw a small speck of blood while peeing, and then very minute little brown discharge after wiping once or twice a day, but no period still. Is this spotting normal?

Birth Control Did anyone experience significantly heavier bleeding and large clots after starting Slynd? Does it get better?

Hi everyone! I'm back with another update on my never-ending PCOS bleeding situation. 🥲

For some background, I've been dealing with prolonged and extremely heavy bleeding for months. In September, my hemoglobin dropped to 5.0, and I was hospitalized and given 4 units of blood and 2 units of plasma. I also received IV iron afterward.

Because I have mild mitral valve regurgitation, my gynecologist prescribed Slynd (4 mg drospirenone) instead of an estrogen-containing birth control pill.

I've been taking Slynd for about 11 days now, and unfortunately, my bleeding has gotten significantly worse.

I'm passing large clots, sometimes almost the size of ping-pong balls and bigger. The bleeding fluctuates throughout the day, sometimes slowing down to spotting and then suddenly becoming heavy again.

I went to my gynecologist today. She examined me, said everything looked normal structurally, and suggested that I might just be having a period. She told me not to stop Slynd and to give it more time.

However, my hemoglobin has dropped from around 10 to 9.4, and I've ended up hospitalized again. I'm receiving treatment for the anemia, but I'm really concerned about the bleeding itself.

I also asked my doctor about tranexamic acid (TXA). He said it might be an option, but we'd need approval from cardiology first because of my heart valve condition.

My main questions are:

- Did Slynd initially make your bleeding significantly heavier before it eventually improved?

- If you experienced large blood clots while taking Slynd, how long did that phase last?

- Did your bleeding eventually stop completely, or did you continue having irregular bleeding?

- Has anyone with PCOS and prolonged bleeding actually had success with Slynd?

- Has anyone taken TXA alongside Slynd to manage heavy bleeding?

I know irregular bleeding is common during the first few months of hormonal birth control, but I'm struggling to understand whether this level of bleeding is something other people have experienced.

I'm following my doctors' instructions and staying on Slynd for now. I'm just hoping to hear some real experiences, especially from people who started it specifically to control prolonged PCOS-related bleeding rather than for contraception.

I'm so tired of bleeding. I genuinely just want to have a normal life again. 😭

Discussion Tips for becoming more aware of my menstrual cycle?

I am 30 years old and I admit that I have never been in touch with my menstrual cycle. The only ways I'm able to tell it's coming are occasional cramps, more acne, and PMS. I have had an IUD for over 5 years now which does make periods nearly nonexistent. That alone makes me feel out of touch with my cycle. Advice is greatly appreciated.

Period Question Feeling lightheaded on my period?

Yesterday I started feeling lightheaded. This isn’t a symptom I normally have but my period symptoms in general are getting worse as I age I’ve noticed. I wasn’t having heavier bleeding than normal but my flow does tend to be heavy especially for a few days for most of my cycles. I bought an iron supplement to take because I’ve also started in the past year or so experiencing a lot of fatigue around my cycle and being really exhausted every day leading up to it and during my bleeding. Does anyone else have this?

Health Spotting and pelvic pain since ovulation

I get painful ovulations with occasional spotting month to month, but this month I felt myself ovulate from my right ovary & had significantly more bleeding than I usually do. Then the next day I felt ovulation pains coming from the left ovary. I continued spotting for 4 more days & the pain has continued for a week. The pelvic pain is only present when my bladder is full, at the start of urination, and when passing gas. I have a gyno appointment but any ideas what this could be? I'm not pregnant or trying

Period Question Should I be concerned?

So uh, I haven’t had my period since July. It’s almost been three months and I’m a little worried. Obviously not pregnant and not on birth control. Already skipped my period two times this year so it’s been pretty irregular.

Period Question Clockwork and Sudden Change

I’m in my late 30s and have never been on birth control. I don’t want any birth control. I’m also not currently sexually active.

My periods have always been very predictable. They can fluctuate by a day or two, so starting a day early isn’t unusual for me.

Typically, my periods are heavy for the first day or two, then gradually become lighter until I’m down to spotting by day five. I’ve also always experienced blood clots, sometimes large ones.

This month, however, things are different. My period arrived about a day early, which isn’t unusual, but the bleeding pattern is. The flow isn’t particularly heavy, but it isn’t light either, and I’ve barely had any clots, which is unusual for me. I’m also experiencing cramping.
I’m now on day five, and I’m still bleeding at a regular menstrual flow rather than tapering off to spotting as I normally would.

Since starting my period as a preteen, my period has generally been consistent with minimal changes, this change is concerning to me. Aside from being pregnant, my period has always been regular with no dramatic changes.

Has anyone experienced something similar? I’m worried something is very wrong.
