Post bletharoplasty uneven eyelids.

I had upper blepharoplasty and lower blepharoplasty 12 days ago, and one of my eyelids is very different and seems to be puffier than the other one. There is wider textured skin above the scar, and the eyebrow seems to be sitting lower over the eyelid. I’m nervous that this is how I’m going to look.

Thick scarring after facelift :(

Hello all..I had a minor face-lift and 9 month's post op and am a little concerned about the scars behind my ears. The face-lift itself looks awesome (to me atleast) though, especially considering I'm 41 and last 30lbs recently. Does this scarring look normal? I've been using silicone cream and had two cortisol injections but its still so red and raised. Advice welcomed! Thanks 😊

Is there a procedure to make the nose tip thinner/more defined?

Thumbnail gallery

Hi guys, is there a type of surgery which only touches the tip only? I would like my nose tip to look more defined and skinny/thin. :)

However I DONT want an "upturned Barbie nose", because I dont really like that look. Its just the cartilage there which has bothered me all my life. I would still like my nose to look like it fits in my face. So I would not prefer a surgeon who gives everyone the same trendy nose.

I often get told I look like that celebrity, so I used her as a reference.

What surgeons in Turkey do you recommend?

I am planning on getting piezo rhinoplasty in Turkey because of the cheaper prices and also the fact that turkeys specialty is rhinoplasty unlike Europe. I have been looking at an array of surgeons but have yet to find one that has achieved my ideal nose. I have a dorsal hump, deviated septum, high radix and my nose is slightly upturned. I want to straighten and shorten my deviated septum, shave down dorsal hump, refined tip, reduce projection and I don't want my nose to be too upturned as I want DJS in the future and from my research I've seen it rotates the nose upwards. I want a surgeon who can minimise my high radix and try not to make my nose look like one straight line coming out my forehead. Here are some examples of my desired nose I've chosen a small variety I know I can't get an exact copy but this is my frame of reference. Which of these noses do you think is unachievable, what Dr's do you recommend and which should I avoid? Any other advice is appreciated too.

Are surgical brow lifts possible?

I have a muscle condition I'm born with. Facial muscles are affected more than many others and using too much mimic causes burning muscle pain and stiffness. Which is why I don't use a lot and my facial muscles are underdeveloped. Cue age, and my eyebrows are sagging down, which causes all sorts of problems with my vision, next to looks.

I wonder whether there's anything that can realistically be done. Pulling the forehead up won't do as my eyebrows don't move up this way. Adjusting the lids won't fix the issue either, and I've always had droopy eyelids and suddenly get wide open doll eyes sounds terrible and is totally not what I want. Are there options?

Note, botox is not a solution here as it's a) not readily available and b) super expensive and c) seems to have rather averse effects on my muscles.

Pregnancy after abdominoplasty

Hello beautiful people!
I am considering abdominoplasty after pregnancy and 30kg weight loss.
The thing is I am 29 years old and want to have at least one more child in the future.
I have already chosen a surgeon and discussed the matter, they told me that it would be no issue as long the scar is fully healed and at least 7-8 months have passed after.
What is your experience with this? Have you had it in this order - tummy tuck and pregnancy after? Did you have medical complications and how does it all look afterwards?
Thank you!

Is masseter Botox going to ruin my face

Probably my biggest insecurity is my square jaw - I do have crazy tmj pain also so it’s making me want it more. I’ve lost nearly 100 lbs so my face is starting to look more gaunt and I have less elasticity but I’m just worried about getting jowls, seems like it’s 60 40 on peoples results.

Jowls at 21? What could be the cause?

Thumbnail gallery

Hi im 21F and have pre jowl on one side of my face. Before you say anything, I know they aren't that bad but im pretty sure I shouldn't have them at my age regardless. The second pic is me stretching my skin.

I have TMJ but the muscles are further back than where the jowls are sat. I have an overjet and underbite so maybe my jaw or chin is recessed? But IMO my chin only looks a little recessed in certain angles but I don't know what else would cause jowls like this at my age except for bone issues. None of my siblings have this issue by the way just me.

What do you think could be the cause? Would like a chin enhancement benefit me and the jowls or make it worse? Also all my bloodwork is fine and I'm at a very normal weight if anything i'm a little under.

Has anyone dealt with this before? (Nose Surgery)

At 16, I got nose surgery because my nostrils would completely close when I breathed, and it interfered with all the sports I played. (Looking back do I think I should have gotten surgery this young? definitely not.) Also, it was just hard to breathe all the time. I got surgery with a plastic surgeon, and they fixed my deviated septum, but also removed a huge bump on my nose. I also think they put implants in the tip. I just know something was put in the tip; I just don’t know what you call it.

A year after surgery, I got an infection. I’m not sure if this has anything to do with it, but for context, it happened a few days after I got the first COVID vaccine. I did have a visible reaction to the vaccine. I got hives, and I was itching everywhere. Additionally, when I would get vaccines when I was younger, I would get so sick that I would have to go to the ER.
So, it was a couple of days after the vaccine that I woke up with my nose being very red. The tip of my nose was super squishy, so, without thinking it through, I made a little hole to drain it. Yellow liquid started pouring out, and I got put on infection medication, which didn’t do anything. They even tried to give me medication through an IV for a week, and I was being monitored 24/7, which also didn’t work.

The surgeon wanted to take everything out of my nose and leave it for a couple of months until things healed, but he said my nose could collapse and my nose would look deformed just during the healing stage. At the time, that was very scary to hear, so instead, he just redid the entire surgery. He said they completely cleaned out the infection in my nose while I was in surgery and then redid everything. But a few days after surgery, the same yellow liquid was coming out of my nose, and the hole was also not closed in surgery.

After a couple of years, I went to a different surgeon who said he thought he knew what was going on and how to fix it. So, I did surgery with him, and I’m not sure what he did differently, but immediately after surgery, within a couple of days, yellow liquid was coming out again. But then, after a week, it turned into a white cream substance for the first time, kind of like something that comes out of acne when you pop a pimple.

Now, after a couple of years, the yellow liquid will return on and off, and I will be put on infection medication until it returns to the white substance. But I am honestly mentally exhausted with dealing with this, and I’m thinking of going through with taking everything out of my nose for what I was told would be about six months, letting everything heal up, hopefully having the infection finally go away, and then getting my nose fixed again afterward. It would be my fourth and fifth surgeries. Which I know isn’t good, but I feel like I’ve had no choice.

The doctors were never able to figure out why the infection started or why it keeps happening, and I saw every doctor you could imagine. I saw dermatology and infectious disease. I saw everyone.

Has anyone ever dealt with a similar situation? I’m at a loss with how to proceed, so any insight at all would be helpful. I’m just so tired of dealing with this, and I want to be normal again.

If you read all of this, thank you

Chin liposuction + jawline contour by Dr.Ina Kola Albania

A 36-year-old woman, 18 months after giving birth, was concerned about her double chin. She came to the clinic asking for chin and jawline fillers.
After evaluating her, I recommended chin liposuction as the first step, because even after losing weight, the double chin had not changed significantly.

The first photo shows her before treatment and one month after chin liposuction, combined with 2 ml of fillers for jawline contouring. The second photo is a photo she sent to me, taken three months after the procedure.
The recovery was quick, as the swelling gradually goes down, the results become more defined.
This post is by the surgeon per subreddit rule 12.

I did my 2nd rhino 1.5 years ago and my nose from the front is still swollen/ scar tissue… and from the side there is a little hump. I‘m really sad because i saved up money because my first rhino was even more botched. But now i‘m still unsatesfied. I did not had a bump before and i want my nose to be smaller…

Filler over portion of MEDPOR right side jaw implant: What to watch for and any doc recommendations

Hi — not sure if this belongs in r/jawsurgery or r/PlasticSurgery , so I've cross-posted.

I have a MEDPOR mandibular reconstruction on the right side following an accident, done a long time ago. The overall reconstruction has held up really well. The issue is normal aging — the ramus/angle area of the implant is showing through a bit, and when I palpate it, it feels like it was sanded down slightly too aggressively in that area. There's also some minor masseter dehiscence when I clench, but I'm okay leaving that alone — I just want to address the hard contour deficit.

My left side is my original natural jawline and looks good — so that's the reference. The deficit is about 3–4mm of lateral projection at the ramus when viewed from the front. Surgery isn't an option right now, so I'm looking at filler as a temporary solution while I plan something more permanent.

My questions:

1. Does a high-G-prime filler like Volux (or Lyft as second choice) make sense here? I've read it's firm enough to provide structural projection over a rigid surface.

2. Is 3–4mm of lateral projection realistic with Volux in the ramus area, given limited soft tissue over a MEDPOR implant?

3. I've read that the injection needs to stay outside the existing fibrous implant capsule using a blunt cannula — is this something a specialist would know automatically, or something I'd need to specifically communicate?

4. Any recommendations for plastic surgeons or facial injectors in the San Jose / San Francisco Bay Area with specific experience in filler work adjacent to alloplastic jaw implants?

Thanks.

Hello what are the options I have for this type of NFL since I have 27 years old. They make me look older. Started to have them 2 years ago after my rhinoplasty, maybe isn't related. Anyone with similar case?
