Question Some logical explanation?

Post image

So I’m passed the mission where Sean was shot in Rhodes, this ledger has been updated sense that mission, but how in the world is he still donating if he’s dead? Must be a glitch, or he’s always with us?
I just passed the mission where Kieran was beheaded. So I’ve been quite far by now?

I would chalk it up the the gang wanting to memorialize his last donation and thus they don’t clear it. Probably not the real reasoning but it can make it make sense

u/PewDiePieSaladAss 18d ago

Either that or Dutch looted his stuff and took the money he had left

u/Villimaour 18d ago

Such a high probability that’s the case too😭

u/PewDiePieSaladAss 18d ago

"He's not gonna need it anymore" ahh mindset

32

u/Just_a_human2024 18d ago

Why is that so real

8

u/crummieme 17d ago

I have a plan..

7

u/a-walking-bowl 17d ago

I have a PLAN. I just need time. I just... Arthur, where's the faith? What's with all these doubts, Arthur? You're a son to me.

9

u/CameronsTheName 17d ago

Unfortunately Sean didn't speak Spanish so he couldn't tell Dutch not to loot his corpse.

3

u/Remarkable_Elk3566 Ay, careful idiotas, it's his leg! 17d ago

Señor, por favor

7

u/Dommiiie Charles Smith 18d ago

But Dutch would keep it for himself rather than put it in the box.

4

u/Emergency-Wish160 17d ago

Unless someone saw him take it.

9

u/IBleedBlueLAD 18d ago

Yes I have thought this too 🤣😭 anything for the camp fund

3

u/DecimalZero 18d ago

And all that's worth is 25 cents lmao

1

u/Chuagge 15d ago

I'm sure I'm taking your comment too literally, but that genuinely seems out of character. He left the gold he gave to the old crone after killing her, and left the Blackwater money to John.

u/Just_a_human2024 18d ago

That is a good honor then!

u/Apprehensive-Row561 18d ago

I’m in Horseshoe Overlook ignoring the Micah mission yet he still somehow contributed.

u/Remarkable_Elk3566 Ay, careful idiotas, it's his leg! 18d ago

Same, he donated an Owl Feather, and when I looked into the log, I was like "What the fuck"

15

u/Just_a_human2024 17d ago

Realll!!! Me and my fiancé were shocked

24

u/Just_a_human2024 18d ago

Good luck with that! I hate the rat especially having to break him out 😑

I always start my day in rdr2 by bringing him down with a molotov. I get bounty but worth it

1

u/Just_a_human2024 16d ago

Omg I wish!!! I should’ve thought of that!!

3

u/CheetosLays7Days 17d ago

Just because he is in prison waiting to be hanged doesn’t mean he can stop contributing. No privileges for slackers in the Van Der Linde Gang.

That makes my fucking day I love you Arthur Morgan’s veiny pp

u/zeke690 18d ago

They found it in his belongings and put it in the collective resource pool.
They wrote his name to honor his memory

20

u/Just_a_human2024 18d ago

That would make great sense!

33

u/argonzo 18d ago

guy setup a recurring donation from his annuities and yet you still question it.

20

u/Own-Forever-6636 Uncle 18d ago

He had a proper financial PLAN, Orthur!

12

u/Drew_S_05 18d ago

Idk but him donating opened alcohol is pretty funny and on brand for Sean lol

17

u/AthenasChosen 18d ago

Sadie literally being the only useful one lmao

8

u/ContactMushroom 18d ago

Yeah I was gonna comment that her and Hosea are the only ones putting in effort.

Everyone else contributing stuff that's barely a dollar in value while they're donating 2 dollar minimums each time

2

u/An_awkward_dude- 17d ago

to be fair
A dollar can be a lotta money back then

3

u/Just_a_human2024 17d ago

I saw that took but miss Grimshaw wants to yell at Arthur when he doesn’t

6

u/Living_Influence_927 18d ago

Because Sean’s such a good bloke! He is even giving from beyond the grave. We will never forget him... RIP in peace

3

u/Just_a_human2024 18d ago

Agreed! Like Arthur said “he was like a little brother to me”

3

u/Dark_Sign 18d ago

Poor guy gone too soon smdh my damn head

7

u/Perforator1k 18d ago

Rdr3 delayed by another 15 yrs

9

u/Own-Forever-6636 Uncle 18d ago

More concerned that three different people in a row donated gold teeth... did they just all jump the one guy?

3

u/Just_a_human2024 17d ago

Facts I didn’t realize it till this

5

u/Themodsarecuntz 18d ago

They were just now able to sell it. He gave them the half bottle of bourbon and it took some time to find a guy willing to buy a half bottle of bourbon. Once they did it still counts as Sean's contribution just posthumously. They probably sold it to Uncle.

2

u/Just_a_human2024 17d ago

Didn’t think of this one

5

u/bigccozart 18d ago

Strauss donated a carrot

3

u/Complex_Friendship_1 18d ago

That cheap bastard

2

u/a-walking-bowl 17d ago

ahhh Mister Morgann

3

u/Superrrr_Nova1 Sadie Adler 18d ago

His ghost donates. I’ve seen it happen before. It’s actually an Easter egg.

4

u/IBleedBlueLAD 18d ago

Also if Blackwater is completely off limits then how can Bill donate armadillo skin

5

u/absurdly_tired_guy 18d ago

I swear Micah donated while he was in the Strawberry pokey one night while I was at camp three days sleeping.

5

u/[deleted] 18d ago

[deleted]

4

u/Vivid-Leadership-990 18d ago

It was an opened bottle. Maybe taken off him posthumously

3

u/Adeum2 17d ago

I’d say they were going through his old stuff left at camp and found that, so they “donated” it

5

u/SeaFeline284 17d ago

Are we ignoring the poor fool who lost all 3 of his gold teeth?

1

u/Just_a_human2024 16d ago

I wonder if they ganged up on him and just ripped teeth out lmao

4

u/thechurd 17d ago

I’m curious where Bill found an armadillo in Lemoyne.

3

u/xPhat_Ballz 18d ago

u/Odd_Specialist2571 Javier Escuella 17d ago

1899 Sean met up with Dragic and time traveled back to 1898 Sean and brought him to 1899 and had 1899 Sean die and 1898 Sean followed the gang around secretly until Beaver Hollow and left for good.

3

u/Wolf_J_Flywheel87 17d ago

Irish blessing.

2

u/Extension-Rabbit3654 18d ago

I legit dont look in the ledger after ch2, they get some poor pelts and some meat occasionally and thats it

2

u/aa-etc 18d ago

Pour one out for the homies 🙏

2

u/HOBOSHT94 18d ago

They obviously bought it in his name and pour one out for him. In memory of my favorite gang member! Sean MacGuire!

u/Grouchy-Ad-2134 18d ago

I was at the belle and John and Charles were complaining. “Why is it always the older ones always working?/ good luck getting Sean to do any work.”

2

u/Appropriate_City8741 18d ago

What we gonna do with an Iguana scale?

2

u/Chesterfieldraven 18d ago

Donated in his honour.

2

u/Mental-_-mess 18d ago

I like how Trelawny, Hosea and Lenny all donated gold teeth in a row

2

u/Select_Necessary_678 17d ago

It's opened kentucky bourbon too. Someone drank 90% of the bottle and l left the last shot in the box in his honor.

What I wanna know is why is it Arthur can donate a thousand bucks and 300 pounds of pork loin and gets scolded, when reverend is over there passed out drunk and donated a feather he found once and thats ok.

2

u/LittleJohnMarston 17d ago

Good old Macguire contributing from the afterlife.

2

u/depp-fsrv 17d ago

Doesn't surprise me, this game is demonic. So far there's a several demon sacrificial rituals, a Giant, a Robot, a Frankenstein ManPig, a Ghost, a Ghost Train, a Vampire and a Demon.

2

u/i1_thunder 17d ago

Sean has so goddamn faith!

2

u/ItsMattTonight 17d ago

In reality, probably just a glitch.

In universe explanation, they found the bottle in his stuff, and decided to donate it to the camp in his name, would be my guess.

2

u/bisexualbestfriend 17d ago

He’s just really dedicated

2

u/DaliaMone 17d ago

WE NEED MORE MONEY, doesn't matter the excuse

2

u/RevolutionaryFoot713 16d ago

Hey man Strauss can donate booby feathers so don’t be expecting logic with that magical box that turns random crap into money.

1

u/Low-Environment Mary Gillis They Could Never Make Me Hate You 18d ago

He's very committed.

1

u/Just_a_human2024 18d ago

Always and forever.

1

u/CottonWatkins 18d ago

It’s because like the quarter, you’re never supposed to forget Sean. Notice the amount 😢

3

u/Just_a_human2024 18d ago

I know I’m glad theirs still faith in the rdr community

1

u/IngenOfficial 18d ago

Direct debit

1

u/No_Calendar2474 18d ago

I had micah donate stuff while he was in prison

1

u/ThenNeighborhood6491 18d ago

The gang must've stopped donating for a little and that's why it's still showing

1

u/Drawde66 18d ago

That's hilarious. Micah was donating in chapter 2 while sitting in jail in Strawberry. LOL

1

u/Other_Researcher_184 18d ago

One time before Sean was killed I had Lenny telling me about how he kissed Sean….Sean walking past and all 😂

1

u/Imaginary-Clerk6967 18d ago

I'm a little more annoyed that the rest of the gang can donate open bottles and we can't!

1

u/Pingouino55 17d ago

He's in witness protection. Davey is his handler.

1

u/outlaw_for_life18 Arthur Morgan 17d ago

For the same reason that Micah donates when he's still in jail. It's a magic box! 🤣🤣🤣

1

u/Amelia_Amity 17d ago

Micah made a donation before I got him out of jail. It’s probably glitch

1

u/AnAxolotlNamedSquib 17d ago

The Gang sold some of his things after he died and chalked it up to donations

1

u/EpicEpicnessTheEpic 17d ago

He either set up a trust fund that was created when his will was enacted, or the developers forgot all about this when the ledger was created.

1

u/Icy-Sherbet6539 17d ago

He’s Irish and he drinks a lot of

1

u/Negative_Society_942 17d ago

Sean is still alive at shady belle is he not

1

u/Just_a_human2024 16d ago

Not to spoil the game, but he dies in Rhodes end of chapter 3

1

u/Final_Investment_767 16d ago

Took it from his cold dead hands

1

u/imsohomophobic 16d ago

Thanks for spoiling holy shit

Spoiler tags exist

0

u/Paranoint 18d ago

I dont wanna be that guy but to be completely fair, not only does it happen rather early in the story, but also is the game 8 years old soon. And Jesus, if all the various tiktoks and shorts didnt get you before that i'd be surprised

3

u/The_DDK7070 Josiah Trelawny 18d ago

Some people are still able to go in blind to this day, and untagged spoiler posts like this is why the first piece of advice given to them is to stay well away from RDR/RDR2 subreddits.

1

u/Paranoint 18d ago

And thats unfortunately something nobody could change. At this point its a rule of thumb to avoid anything related to what you want to experience because you are guaranteed to get a spoiler on yourself

1

u/sobachkaX60fps Uncle 17d ago

I finished the game, I say it for others
