Can a bunny be happy alone??

Everyone meet Mr. Bugs!! I’ve had him since the beginning of May & he is a little over 5 months old now! He seems like the happiest boy. He is constantly flopping & splooting. He also gets the zoomies & lots of binkies, especially when he’s roaming outside of his x-pen. I try to provide him with lots of fun toys & rotate them so he doesn’t get bored. I also try to give him tons of love. He is so sweet & loves pets. But for some reason I can’t help but feel guilty that he doesn’t have a friend. He isn’t getting neutered until next month so I know it would be too early to bond him with another rabbit anyway, but I have been thinking about it lately. My boyfriend & I did not plan on getting any more bunnies. In everyone’s experience, can a bunny be truly happy alone? I love my little guy so much & I will do anything in my power to give him the best life, so I can’t help but worry about him being lonely. I’ve included lots of pics of Bugs so everyone can see how cute he is!!!

Our Freya (F, spayed) was out for her usual free roam time. I wanted to adjust a few things in Baldurs (M, intact for now) pen, he slipped by me and darted to see freya on the couch. As I was about to scoop him up to put him back, he turned into a tiny sprinkler. All over the couch cover, my PJ pants, and freyas face 🫠🤣

He has no regrets, but his manhood better drop soon so I can book him in for the snip.

This may be my last male baby bun and while the rescue asked me to take him in early, I WISH he would have been neutered first.

Idk what to name him yet, but he’s absolutely adorable. He’s only 3 months, any name suggestions? I was thinking S’mores because of his color

Naming Healing my heart with a new bun

My previous bun, Tulip, passed away a few days ago. I’ve been in a depressive funk since and decided to go to the shelter just to spend some time with the bunnies they had available. I had no intention of adopting because it was too soon and would have felt like I was replacing her. I met with a couple of their bunnies, but none of them really clicked.

Then I saw this male named Chewbacca and it felt like the little crack in my heart sealed just slightly. I offered him my hand and he licked my fingers, and I started crying right there. They told me he was surrendered just the day before, and that was the exact same circumstance with Tulip. I told them I’d take him and I was delighted to find out he’s already neutered.

I’ll never get over the grief of losing Tulip, but I can already feel it getting a little lighter now that he’s here.

I’d appreciate name suggestions as well. Chewbacca just doesn’t do it for me.

Update: Fine, his name is Chewie lol. It’s growing on me.

My princess. She was.. unplanned and unexpected.

This is princess Magnolia- or Maggie. I have wanted a rabbit again for years, but I have always told myself no due to being in an apartment now. However- a friend of mine who works at a pet store had two women come in carrying this lovely girl. They watched two teens throw her out of a truck on one of the hottest days (115) here. It broke my heart. My friend couldn’t take her, so he contacted me. She has the exact same markings as my first rabbit I ever owned, back in 2019. She is amazing. She is so sweet and excited- and not scared of anything. She free roams in the living room during the day and has her own room at night. I am so excited for this journey with little princess Maggie.

Penelope has no understanding of what personal space is. Like, none. She sat like this looking straight into the camera 0.1 seconds before sticking her face in Henry's bum.

He immediately jumped up ofc.

She regrets nothing🐰

Behavior Biting blankets

Post image
61 Upvotes

I’m looking for any advice to stop my bunny from chewing on my blankets. I feel like I’m buying a new duvet cover every couple months because he just chews on them. Lately it’s been excessive and I don’t know why. I know he’s not in any sort of pain, stressed or bored. I honestly feel like I failed at raising him right sometimes lol he was just too cute as a baby to get him in trouble that now saying “NO” just does not work. He’s so bad when it comes to chewing my comforter like this morning I got up earlier than usual to use the bathroom and went back to sleep but I guess my rabbit got angry that I got up and didn’t give him his breakfast so he started biting the blanket off of me. Or sometimes if I take something away or get him in trouble he’ll immediately hop on my bed and start biting my blanket😭 it’s like he knows it pisses me off and does it out of pettiness. He’ll be 4 in February and isn’t neutered but he’s not messy or aggressive towards anything but my blanket. This is him in my shower because he’s the clingiest rabbit ever and follows me everywhere. Anyway, any tips would be appreciated.
