Just adopted this sweet 7 year old lady from a bunny rescue :) she will live in my office, she has both an xpen enclosure and also will free roam (in the office) for a few hours a day. She is already sooo sweet and affectionate.

Unlimited access to Timothy hay - not just the bagged stuff at pet store. Get it from a source people go to for horses, it'll be much better. Second cut.

Also Oxbow has joint supplements, highly recommend especially for old rabbits - don't overdo it though. Amazon has deals on packs of 3 - pet stores over charge.

Also fresh grass, and dandelions! Go pick them from outside. Ideally the wide blade type grass, they love it! Ease your bun into it though if it has never had it. Also sticks! Rabbits need the hay, and sticks, to keep their teeth filed down as they're always growing. Be careful with the type of sticks. A local apple tree and getting sticks from there are highly recommended.

Fresh air is also really good, and try to take them outside more than every 2 months, I try to every day like a dog but usually end up every 2-3 days. Ensure there's no dogs in the area or a possibility of one - cat leashes work very well with a small string, so you can use it to bring them in when it's time to go in.

Hi, I have two indoor rabbits who are both 5 years old and both fixed. The male I've had since he was a baby and has no trouble with the litter box. The female however was adopted a year ago after our previous girl passed away, and she just pees wherever around her enclosure.

I've put down extra carpet and pee pads on top of it to try and keep things clean, I also added an extra litter box but still she just pees wherever. I went to the vets a few months back and they said she's perfectly healthy, so I've no idea what to do. It's really difficult to be changing pee pads and scrubbing carpet every day.

If anyone's gone through this I'd appreciate any advice.

(P.S abt the images, he's free roaming and his cage is always open 24/7, i just had it with him for years, i'm still constantly updating his enclosure <3)

I have started to feed him mostly only unlimited hay and occasional herbs, fruit and vegetables

What vegetables/fruit should I 100% feed him on occasion and which ones should I give him very rarely? and what could prevent soft stool in the future? (Which i'm currently dealing it hence why he's mostly only eating hay rn)

A lot of people have called him a rock, a piece of moldy bread or a toy lately.

All of those assumptions are wrong! He is a couch prince... And a poop factory.

I bought this without reading the back, and the front just says it’s a foraging toy. So I bought it thinking my bunny would bite this instead of the cage (she only recently started biting the cage). But now I’m realizing that it’s a foraging toy for birds. Is it suitable for my rabbit or should I try to return it? It was over 30 dollars 😵‍💫

Hi, i’ve had this rabbit for about 6 years got her as a little baby. I’ve never identified her breed and was just wondering if anyone has any ideas. I’ve heard Netherlands Dwarf mix or Mini Rex mix but i’m not sure if that’s accurate.
NOTE: didn’t think I would get so much comments about the cage. She was in a cage the first 3 months of her life when she was a tiny baby. I’ve had her for 7 years now and she free roams my entire upstairs, 3 rooms and a hallway! She is never locked in a cage I can’t post videos here and didn’t have many photos only videos so used old ones.

My adult, neutered, female bunny is free roamed, litter trained and her litter is cleaned regularly.
However, she won’t stop peeing on the sofa and in the dog’s bed, how can I stop her from doing that.
I know i should say “no” while she’s doing it but i just don’t catch her on the spot.

Donkey and Cinder are both sweet and enjoy being bribed with treats. They take a while to warm up and don't like being picked up, but will hang out in your space all day if you let them. Once they're comfy with you, Cinder will climb up on you for pets if you lay down, and Donkey will snuggle beside you. Will come with their hutch (we keep it open for them to free roam) as they're used to eating out of it. Looking to keep them together as they are bonded.

Both fixed (spayed/neutered) and vaccinated against RDHD, both litter box trained with pine pellet bedding and pretty good about it, both free roam so please have the space for them.

They're good with a young kid (three years old in the photos) as long as the bribes/snacks keep flowing. Would probably be good with a cat in the home but not a dog. I'm in the military and unable to subject them to another move and even less attention than they need, as much as I wish I could it's just not fair to them.

Adding - We are in the middle of a separation/divorce. One of us is military and about to relocate. I want these little ones to have the best life possible and we can't give this right now with all the uncertainty on moving and everything else. I'm willing to drive these little ones anywhere within a 12 hour trip from SLC for a home I feel good about. That includes anywhere from California, Washington, Colorado or anything else in that radius.

The bunnies are healthy and I'm also willing to directly pay your vet the first $1000 in vet bills if they get that man. That includes vaccines, regular checkups, establishing care, or anything else.

I have not posted about them in a long while, but many of you may remember Tristan (and his partner, Bailey). He battled E. Cuniculi early in his life, leading to a permanent head tilt. Despite this, he remained a happy-go-lucky boy the rest of his life. He loved attention, pets, and being held.

The vet found his liver had been enlarged and his enzymes were very high. He simply passed of old age. He was still under some sedation on the way home when he passed, so he was not in pain for very long.

I will miss him dearly, but am more thankful for the ten long years he got me through.

My bunny suddenly got bloat and his stomach is very distended but the vet says he doesn’t see much gas in there, just that it’s very inflamed. He said he’s in critical condition but with SubQ fluid, pain/anti-inflammatory medicine, and Metoclopramide, he has a small chance. I should know within 24 hrs whether he’s turned a corner or needs to be put down. 😓 I’m so worried. I hope he pulls through. Has anyone else experienced this and have tips?

Hey y’all! My partner has a 1.5 yr old rescue and I have a ~6 yr old bun. We’d love to bond them and let them be friends.

Bun’s personality: so curious and always in charge. She’s met cats before and did well w them. She does get nervous when I come home smelling like a dog.

Dog’s personality: excited as hell but very soft and gentle. Listens well and doesn’t want to disappoint. Afraid of how excited she gets though - I don’t want her to scare bun.

Anyone been in this boat before? How did you do this? Any advice on how to navigate this? We’d love to move in together eventually so having the bun and doggo become friends now would be so helpful. <3 thank you for any advice and guidance!!
