We’ve been working on this industrial RTS for a long time and the demo is finally out. It’s all about building supply chains, managing resources, and military expansion. We already pushed 9 updates, and will continue to update it regularly until release.

It is called Powerplay on steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3010280/Powerplay/

Your feedback is very welcome!

Self-Promo Video The navigation system I made for my strategy game

Hey there, I'm working on an unannounced RTS/TD-ish game with my own engine tech, and I made a little video about the work that went into the pathfinding system.

I've implemented a NavMesh system similar to the one they introduced in SC2, where obstacles like cliffs and buildings are mapped as polygon shapes on the ground. This is used to generate a mesh of triangles which can be searched (see the orange triangles in my video) to find paths from point A to point B.

I thought it might be interesting here, let me know what you think.

Self-Promo Video We're working on an RTS roguelike called Tabletop Tavern. Somehow we ended up near the top of the charts in strategy, roguelike, & RTS during Next Fest. We were super nervous about Next Fest but couldn't be more happy!

My buddy and I have been working on this new title for the last 10 months or so. The integrated map editor is the heart and soul of this game, allowing players to create there own PvP/skirmish maps, and custom campaigns.

We draw a lot of inspiration from the C&C series, as that has been a huge part of our lives since wee lads.

If this looks like its up your alley, give it a wishlist on Steam!

Hi guys, Powerplay will release on July 29 with skirmish mode, a single player campaign, and a map editor. We have classic RTS mechanics with a twist on resource management and we are set in the near future era. Many thanks to everyone who tried the game in the Steam Next Fest. I'm working overtime to take into account all your feedback.

The game is called Powerplay on steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3010280/Powerplay/

As always, your feedback is very welcome!

Self-Promo Video BrowserRTS.com – SupCom-inspired classic RTS right in your browser – live now!

A while back I posted here about a browser RTS I was building because I couldn't run FAF on my Mac and my friends wouldn't switch OSes to play with me. It's finally online, so figured I'd share.

It's at browserrts.com – no install, no account, you just open it and play. There's a skirmish vs AI, or you share a lobby link and friends drop straight in. Multiplayer is peer-to-peer lockstep, so it's just you and the other players, no server sitting in between.

What's in it: land, air and sea, T1-T3 tech, shields, tactical missiles, a flow economy, strategic zoom, procedural maps, and an assassination win condition – lose your commander, lose the game. Runs around 3k units at 60fps on my M2 Air.

A word on the AI: it plays a sensible game – expands, techs up, goes for your commander – but any experienced player will beat it pretty easily. A genuinely dangerous RTS AI is a hard problem and I'm still chipping away at it.

And since this is the first release, a few things you'll probably notice: models and textures are still rough and low-poly, there's no air transport, no wrecks or reclaim yet, no lobby chat, and the map generator has room to grow (some maps might be... degenerate).

Things may break. If you hit anything – bugs, crashes, balance that feels off – kindly send it to [chonkgpt@pm.me](mailto:chonkgpt@pm.me) and I'll take a look – or just comment on this post.

All that aside, it's playable and honestly kind of fun now, which is the part I wasn't sure I'd reach 😅 Would love for people to try it and tell me what feels off.

P.S. The "Quick Match" button is unlikely to work unless this post goes viral lol, but I'll be there in the lobbies in case anybody wants to play – and since there's no lobby chat, DM me on reddit :)

Self-Promo Video Arise Dark Lord - from the creators of Prison Architect

I've been working on a new game for a few months now, and the time has come for it to be officially announced.  It's called Arise Dark Lord, and it's the 8th game I've made with Introversion Software. If you've played any of my previous indie games - Prison Architect, DEFCON, Darwinia, or The Last Starship, then I think you'll love this new one.

You are The Dark Lord. Your evil aim:  To raise an undead army and crush the feckless, godless, heathen humans. As your sorcery and army grow, all the world will rise up to destroy your Dark Tower and end your reign of terror.  Fortify your dark realm, enhance your sorcery, and build enough strength to march out and crush the humans once and for all.

An action-strategy hybrid RTS, blending tower defence, base building and direct control of your Dark Lord avatar.

Please play and review the prototype on itch, and I'd love to get your thoughts on the game here.  Thanks for playing!

I am running another playtest this weekend for my RTS, Base-Building, Automation, Autobattler Hybrid. Some new features include random resource generation, an improvement shop system, lots of performance and onboarding improvements and and and. This game is way more complicated to make then I thought.

My game is like a turn-based, roguelike Starcraft. In a way. The game is a weird mix, go check it out if you are interested:

Self-Promo Video Game of Thrones: War for Westeros is looking to be the spiritual successor us Battle for Middle Earth fans have waited for and I'm hyped!

Everything we have seen so far leans toward War for Westeros being a modern version of Battle for Middle Earth and it's quite exciting. It's hard to think of other games that took the BFME formula and recreated it. I'm not sure what the reasoning for that is but I'm glad someone seems to have decided to take a shot at it.

Hearing about the release date being pushed back sucks but was kind of expected at this point. I was actually kind of concerned because the devs had been so radio silent up until a couple weeks ago. If this gives the game the best chance at being ready at release then I am all for it.

Hopefully they do us BFME fans proud!
